Can MS fix the blurry texture loading issue and red square issue with the technology today instead of users trying to edit their fs9.cfg file and tweak their $400 card?Too bad we can't tell FS what to load first, second, third, etc...Tim

I have tried to submit this bug to Microsoft FSIM Dev. team, but they make it impossible to find any such contact/feedback form on their official MSFS 2004 web site so I'll mention it here.I have noticed that the default scenery airports in Antarctica are seriously flawed. In one of them the airplane (when sitting on the runway) is actually below the ground level. On all the other airports there the runway is placed in the sea (or overlays the sea as well as the airport buildings), not to mention that the sea itself has some great topology changes (i.e. cliffs with water textures, etc.)I was kind of excited that they finally added some airports in Antarctica, but having…

I am having a problem w/FS9 crashing to a black screen & then getting that infamous "Microsoft Simulator has encountered a problem" etc.It happens after I takeoff from the FS9 Non LAGO Emma Field headed south. Before I get to the hills south of the of the field, it crashes. If I takeoff on 36 & then circle around & head south over the river, it crashes as I get a little south of Emma Field.This is not the seasonal crash that some have been having as this is happening in summer & the other seasons. Even so, I did try the suggestion re/the TERRAIN.CFG tip in changing the MaskClassMap settings which did not affect the problem.I have tried deleting the fs9.cfg…

Something is messing with my ability to slew. I can slew right and left just fine. But trying to slew forward and backward, I move a few feet, very slowly. And then the "5" key won't stop the movement, such as it is.I've had this problem before, and never figured out what caused it. When I recently installed FS2004, everything was intially fine. Now the problem is back.Any idea why this is happening, and what to do about it?-Basil

Like a lot of people I guess, I have been trying to install Eric Marciano's A320 panel into the new IFDG A320 model within FS9.I have the panel working, and Navdata VOR's, Airports etc showing on the panel display.What I can't do is to get either the FMC or the panel display to read and show IFR flight plans.I have tried creating these with both the FS Flight Planner and with FSNavigator without success so far, although there are several export/import routes and I may not have found all of these. It looks as though there is a way of creating flightplans in Navdata itself, although I haven't got far with it yet either.Is it possible to get the panel to show the route and …

hey folks!after doing a complete re-install of fs9 i had to install all my ai-packages again - but now i can't get rid of the default fs9-ai jets! it's gettin pretty annoying. i tried the fs2004-commercial traffic remover by project ai but the out-of-shape jets are still there! what can i do? thanx a lot :-wavepeter

I have noticed that all of my coastlines are jagged .I have an ATI 9800 Pro 256 CAT 3.10 with AA @ 4 and AF @ 8,autogen.xml renamed and I have most sliders maxed and most things checked. If anyone has a tweak worth trying I would appreciate it.ThanksAndy

I have just downloaded and installed these NVidia(56.55) drivers from Guru3D.Installation was relatively easy apart from the usual Microsoft dire warnings that some of the components weren't officially approved - "your System may crash" etc etc.Regarding performance - very difficult to be objective but ,using the FS 9 default flight( C172/Seatac/Day/Fair weather) as a yardstick ,I think there may be a small performance increase of the order of 1 or 2 fps . Previously ( 52.16 Drivers) I would see about 17fps whilst stationary at the end of the runway ( 2d cockpit). With 56.55 that seems to be up to 18/18.5.Not a big increase but every little helps.Take of run with 52.16…

IS it me or what! But is the ILS on runway 36 good, for me it does not line up on the same heading.

I have that GA traffic file that adds something like 42000 GA AI flights to FS, but I am having a problem getting it going. The problem is that the AC#'s are different in the aircraft.txt file with the download than is what I have.I used TTools to decompile the traffic.bgl file from FS2004, and found the three .txt files, but the problem is it only shows the AC#'s for aircraft that have AI flight plans.I downloaded and installed a few GA aircraft (Warrior II, etc.) that I want to add to the GA flight plan, but need to find the AC#'s that FS has assigned to these non AI aircraft. Hi guys, Just recently installed FS9 and can't seem to config my own default flight as I did in FS2002. Everytime I save and click the check box to "save as my default flight" I exit FS9 and and restart and get a "cannot find or load aircraft for this flight" message. Has anyone else run into the same problem and is there a work around? Any help greatly appreciated! Many Thanks, Nate

I have found a grand total of 1 FFX -700 repaint (AeroMexico), the rest seem to be 800s or something else. Did no airlines order them? Lotta -500s, but I want the faster model. Incidently, where is FFX, a google search couldn't find their website.I'm just looking for a newer faster replacement for the old -200/-300s in my VA...(looks like Airbus found a(nother) home for their A320s...maybe?)Cheers,Dave

Just after FS9 came out, someone posted a great tip which allowed access to the NWS directly from the kneeboard, giving you the ability to obtain the wx at your destination airport (or any other airport)while enroute. A truly great tip.I had to reinstall FS9 but forgot how to get the wx as stated above. If anyone can repost this, I would appreciate it. Thanks.Bob
