I can't get the throttle to work. i have the CH Product hardware. The computer see it ... the sim see it the CH manager see it ... the buttons on it work, yet it won't move the collective up and down. It might be something to do with the stick throttle. I reassigned throttle to the stick again and I got some response briefly, then nothing. Tried doing reverse ... nothing. I hit F4 it will go up, but when I touch the throttle it loses altitude. . I checked the axis assignments and made sure there was no z axis for the flightstick and one for the throttle ...still nothing ... the aircraft rolls over on it's side when I go into the sim and try to fly.

Hello guys, I have a minor issue with my FSX SE, let me explain this maybe the best way possible, for example I do a flight and all good, after I exit out the sim and lets say I stay on the computer doing something else the sim stays open apparently, if I want to go back and open it will give me a message saying fsx se is already open, any reason or solution for this??? the only way I can shut it down is either restarting the pc or using the task manager, please let me know thanks in advance.

I have just bought the Dornier 27 for FSX. I have a problem with its throttle quadrant. I can't assign any axes to mixture and propeller levers. It wont work. I use FSUIPC for this and select axis assignment and assign my control levers to throttle mixture and prop pitch. Everything seem normal and as expected in FSUIPC and this works fine in other planes. So this is a problem with the Dornier software and not with my controllers. In the Dornier VC I only see the throttle lever move but not mixture and prop pitch. Another odd thing. When placing the mouse cursor over the lever I get tool tip saying throttle but not for mixture and prop.

It seems like the old FSX gets revised all the time. The newest dramatic improvement are cloud shadows in DX10 Scenery Fixer by Steve Parsons He's making constant improvements. Shadows look great and have no impact on my system. It is quite remarkable how this old program can be kept relevant. With no compatibility problems,with everything working smoothly, DX10 fixer keeps this platform strong after all these years. I tried the "other programs" and I'm always coming back for dependability and performance. Happy landings Mike

As I am now a proud Constellation Captain I switched off Ultimate Traffic 2 because I think in the 50's where not that much traffic... and not that much jet-planes I asked myself if there is any addon (payware or freeware) that is simulating old style traffic? With propliners and so on? Thank you!

On some aircraft, mostly FS9 aircraft redone for FSX, The baggage truck seems to be convinced that the luggage is in the aircraft's tail and desperately tries to get its conveyor up there. Freight doors are open but are ignored. Model problem maybe?

I have now installed FSX-SE twice over the past two months, and believe me I have only just more or less completed the install! I'm rather disappointed, as I was hoping that it would be more stable than FSX and so far that has not been the case. Anyway, the reason for the post is that, for some reason, and I don't think I'm imagining things, the textures seem to load slower than in my previous ,standard FSX install. It's very frustrating after upgrading my machine to a 6700 and 1070 with fast RAM and SSDs. I am puzzled. I have tried virgin cfg, cfg, different values in with FFTF, different values with LOD, different values with TML, AM etc etc. I've tried different values…

Folks, I have a two monitor setup for my normal day to day work, a 27" Viewsonic and a 19" LG Flatron. In normal work I can open and put secondary material on the 19" monitor. However when I start FSX and go to Free Flight, the 19" goes black. This is where I would normally like to have AS2016, Topcat and PFPX etc, but I can't see them. Any suggestions? Neil Bradley

I just got the Kodiak Quest which I really like. The only problem I was having was starting the Floatplane version in the water, and trying to follow the instructions in the Pilots Flight Manual, caused the floatplane to start a takeoff roll as soon as I hit the starter switch, even with the prop fully feathered and power lever at zero.Since there is no parking brake on this aircraft, this many times resulted into a crash into the dock or shoreline. I found a way to start this turbine, that works every time in the floatplane. Put the condition lever and prop and power levers all at minimum. Then start fuel pump and then starter, and then very slowly advance the red…

Hi All I am looking for some advice/help on lighting and foggy conditions on FSX. Yesterday I flew into Heathrow which was experiencing low visibility conditions (200-300M) however I could see the runway lighting through the fog pretty much for the whole distance of the runway as well as the surrounding area lighting which really ruins the whole point of a CATII/CATIII approach. Hi, this is what I'm getting at Cheat River area, after installing Pacific Islands' VFR Appalachia. Objects (flyable aircraft included) half buried, trees hanging in mid air, water mountains, etc. Obviously there is something wrong with the mesh or whatever, but I don't know how to fix it. I'm using FSX Acceleration, and my only other scenery installed so far is Tongass Fjords X, both showing apparently right in the scenery library. Any help greatly appreciated!!

Hey guys, Have been away from fsx for awhile with various real life things. I remembered that there used to be a page on facebook from WOAI where they would give updates on the new release Like 6 months ago they said they were almost ready for a new release. Well apparently I forgot to bookmark it. Does anyone have the link as a search didn't bring up anything. It brought up an (unnamed) traffic, but not the proper one that I had remembered that was not associated with the (unnamed) traffic addon. Thanks.

I thought when you update or reply to a forum post it would move the forum post to the beginning of the posts for that topic? Is this not the case? As you know posts that are several pages from the beginning will probably never be read. If something new is posted, I would like to see it move to top of the list. Good Day and a Happy New Year to All Is there a kind soul out there who will help an old codger, with little or no computer knowledge, to set up his controllers for different aircraft using preprogrammed config/cfg files. I have CH Pedals, CH yoke and CH throttle quadrant. My fsx is in drive E\fsx I do know how to modify cfg and xml files using notepad. I have tried the method described by rcbarend back in October 13 2006 in the AVSIM FSX forum but cannot get it to work(it seems that I cannot get the target, in the properties of the shortcut mentioned, accepted) Will someone please please give me the correct method to set up my controllers in an easy to unders…

I have a voice, just not one suitable for voice over on videos. So if you need more info just type. Help. Started FSX (boxed version) today and the panning doesn't work, either in the VC or in outside view. I have it assigned to the Hat Switch on my HOTAS Warthog throttle. The hat switch works fine, and everything is normal in P3D. I NO NOT use Ezdok or any other camera software. I have attempted clearing the assignment, restarting the sim and reassigning it without luck. Also, FWIW, I have never used "mouse view", so I'm not sure how it works, but when I hit Shift-O I get a cross on the screen, but moving the mouse does NOT move the view around, with or without mouse buttons pressed. I'm thinking that I mistakenly hit a key or key combo that locked panning…

Hi Guys, I was wondering if any of you have tried the following: https://www.aero.sors.fr/navaids3.html to update the standard FSX navigational aids (VORs, NDBs) in selectable world areas. It would be a good addition (especially considering that I am real world private pilot so it would be good practice) however I also use VOXATC (for the same reason) and I am not sure how the two would work together. I am aware that on some models you can get Navigraph data however on some smaller GA airplane the only way is to use the built in database (an external FMC on a Cessna would be quite a joke). Classic propliner fans have had a good Christmas with the release of two great new airliners for FSX - the well publicised and discussed A2A L749 Constellation and the somewhat less well publicised Canadair DC-4M North Star/Argonaut by Flight Replicas. As a propliner fan I was keen on adding both to my FSX fleet. The Connie truly deserves the accolades it has been receiving as an excellent and accurate reproduction of the original Queen of the Skies (pre-747 era!) and no doubt it will take its place as the best payware classic propliner available for FSX.
