I have been using FSX for many years and recently starting flying in the real world with a Piper Archer. I have an iPad I use in the plane and also at home connected to my simulator using bluetooth. Real world frequencies are gotten thru Garmin Pilot which is updated frequently and compared to sectional charts quite accurate. So, here is the problem. I believe FSX "hard-coded" the frequencies for many airports and they are not accurate. I know I can just click on ATC and let FSX pick the frequency but since I use Saitek's Radio Panel it would be nice to be able to update the program. Ever since the Ready for Pushback 747, there has been never been a detailed 747-200 series for FSX. I was wondering if any developers are working on a Classic 747 or if there is any interest at all in this aircraft these days?

SOLVED I played FSX since 2008. Although I haven't played it prior to few weeks ago for about several years. During my years of playing FSX I have never experienced what I have experienced today. Although It might have something to do with my unorthodox flight profile. This unorthodox flight is a simulated flight from EHAM (Amsterdam) to YSSY (Sydney) without time acceleration. Meaning that FSX ran for about 12 hours straight (4 hours from YSSY) in the Banda/Arufara Sea. It is there that things went haywire. I regularly check on my fsx session to change course etc and see if everything is ok. I play on hard realism settings and I fly in a Opensky 777-200E…

The last time I used FSX they hadn't had an update for it, and I did a recent search but couldn't be sure that the update I found was current, or even worked in FSX. I'm thinking of moving FSX to another computer and am wondering if they have an update finally for SE? I saw a post that at some point they were going to add an update for SE. I have no access to the original FSX, nor would I wish to install it ever again just for this one product. So, are they still planning to update to SE if they haven't yet?

I had computer problems and had to re-install FSX Gold Edition using Windows 7. I got the message "1607: Unable to install InstallShield Scripting Runtime" What does this mean. How can I get this installed. Peter Evans

Hello, please, I'm having this issue that is bothering me a lot!! My AMD Radeon graphic card just doesn't show at the FSX(MS) settings. It only has the option of the Intel one. I have a Dell Inspiron 5548 notebook. What should I do to solve this? Any ideas?? Thanks!!!!

Hello, I have conducted two flights already with Majestic Dash Q400 from LSZH to EDDG using Prepar3D v3.4. Each time I was given clearance to approach runway 07. However, it looks like the ILS for that runway does not work with this airplane. The ILS frequency is 111.90, and if I set this frequency during approach, I get no reception from the localizer or the glideslope. Let me tell you that this is not a problem with the scenery: I have tried a different airplane, and this ILS frequency worked. For test purposes, I have tried the opposite direction (rwy 25, ILS 110.10), and the ILS worked fine with all airplanes including the Dash. Can someone of you test whe…

I saw recently with the intersection updates from the site listed that in this cycle he isn't updating any terminal waypoints. Anyone know if he will continue to provide terminal waypoint (SIDS and STARS) updates? Otherwise anyone know an alternative that will provide at least terminal waypoint updates? Thanks.

My original specs: - i5 4670k oc'd 4.2GHz GTX 770 2GB 8GB 2400Mhz RAM Okay so I have been using the original FSX with Acceleration boxed version for a long time now on a monitor 1600x900 on the above specs, full orbx scenery, PMDG, AS, REX and more, smooth flying to be had 30-50 fps all the time. Today I upgraded to a 1080p monitor and changed my graphics card out for a GTX 1060 6GB, now when I load up FSX the fps is really bad, like down to 8fps bad, even when I load a fresh cfg with default trike at a default airport I will see 60-odd fps but as soon as I pan the camera it will drop to 5-7fps all the time, I have lowered all of the sliders and nothing seems t…

I have no sound. I have used the Eaglesoft X, PMDG 747 and 737, the A2A Cherokee, and the Twin Otter. I can pick up a faint sound in the cockpit from Accu-Feel of the frame. So far without luck, I did a system restore, and I also deleted the FSX Config. My speakers do work on You-Tube. Any ideas of what can be tried next?

Its. Christmas! And because we rarely have snow in England any more I always go flying in Alaska this time of year with those lovely sunsets, great mountains, glaciers and snowy forests. Can anyone recommend a good ski plane for off airport landings? I see some great frozen lakes that will make nice impromptu airstrips. I really would like a tricycle gear plane though. I got windows 10 (x64) with FSX SE. I have this posky model It has also this panel installed to get the panels working properly. Plane works fine, but it has a constant animation on the engines with red sparks as if they are constantly crashing or on fire. This shows you what I mean. Hello, I've been playing around with the LDR team's Mallard that they released last year over at SOH. Fantastic aircraft, doubly so because it's freeware! However, I've noticed it has a mildly annoying trait that I've seen plague several other aircraft (to include payware) - the cockpit windows have just a bit too much haze, or glare/reflection, on them. The result of this is, scenery looks a bit duller, colors seem washed out, in certain lighting conditions. This is kind of a bummer considering all the fun places to play with a plane like this... I have now seen two independent reports of users trying to re-install their FSX disks on a newly built Windows 10 system and getting persistent Installshield errors that prevent them from installing their FSX copy. I have a problem with FSX. I can see the wheels from airport vehicles through my aircraft. Anybody know a fix for this? I already re-installed fsx updated my graphic driver to 320.49 and still have the same problem. If i turn "aircraft shadows on ground off" the black squares disappear.

Hello all, I've just started using VFR Flight and have a basic question that I can't seem to find an answer for. How do you zoom in/out of the maps? I see how to select the different maps but can't find a zoom function. Probably something that's right in front of me!! Thanks in advance, Bob

Just uploaded scenery for Richmond Airport to the Library. Works in P3DV3 except for the Libraries which may need to be reconfigured and installed separately. Enjoy! Shez
