Hello all, I have been flying PMDG 777 for almost 2 year, but never experienced such a huge memory leak. At the beginning of this year, I noticed that certain kind of missed approach was the culprit of memory leak in crusing stage, which was thankfully addressed by PMDG. Selecting STAR JUST before descent was one of the temporary solution mitigating the risk of OOM. Since then, I have successfully completed every flight without memory issue. However, after a long rest leaving flight sim behind, the memory leak issue occurs again! Ive pretty much tried everything and it only moves backward to reverse. The throttle doesnt move forward at all. If I hold down the full throtttle key on my keyboard, that is the only way to move the plane forward, but I have to be holding it down the entire time just to move. so lame.

This evening flying with IVAO I landed at EDDH and when on the taxyway engine 1 suddenly went on fire. Such a burning engine is a very nice animated view implemented by Majestic and also the crackling noise one hears is nice too. That is the reason for posting it here and thanking Majestic for this gimmik. Wish I would be able to post the screen shots as well. Anyway, I thought that I disabled the failure feature so I was taken by surprise. I will check that tomorrow whether I really did it or just wanted to do it

I was getting tired of having to launch, for example, FSX, ASN, the Q400 control panel, TrackIR and my VA's ACARS everytime I want to fly, including multiple UAC permission popups - so I found a solution. I made a couple of batch files (.bat), 5 of them depending on what I intend to fly, as well as a "master shutdown". I used Bat to Exe Converter (freeware) to make executables that will ask for admin permission only once and then run everything. You know how it goes, you have the perfect setup, layers and layers of cool add-ons, the real 'As Real As It Gets' deal. And then you get the bug, the glitch the awful stutter, the texture screwup from hell that makes your simple pleasure a pain. In my perfect set up I realised that for 'sometime' I had been putting up with pauses of up to 3-4 seconds, frequently, while flying. Testing began,but I couldn't isolate it. Up until last week I was using fsx gold edition with windows 7. I now have windows 10 with edge and still fsx gold edition. AS usuual prior I used to have fsx on its own separate drive. Now I have fsx gold edition with the same 3 cd's for windows 10 but my problems is fsx does not install into the right drive. \My c drive is for the operating systems but refuses to go into my D drive which would be the only drive for fsx. Why am I having this problem ? My new d drive has over 1,000 Gigabytes, and for the operatingsystem on my c drive has 500 gigabytes. It seems like it is going to be an amazing next month or two for flight simulation especially on the commercial aircraft side! I am curious, which new plane you all are most excited for? I know some will mention the Aerosoft CRJ and 330, but we have no idea when those will come to market and arent in beta yet.

Hello members, I have recently re- installed FSX and when I tried to activate it couldn't and the key was correct!! It gave me the error code 1-80004005. I need to re-activate it again!! And the "activation" program in the FSX dir is not working. Can you tell me how to re-activate it! Thanks

Hello there. I'm sort of new here, so pardon me for whatever the reason if I do something wrong. My concern is, that I recently bought the QW757 and, when I switch to the locked spot view it seems really small. If I zoom in, I can see that the aircraft is proportional, so I thought this would be a FSX problem. Thanks in advance!

The autopilot kept disconnecting every other minute, and I'm not sure if it was something I was doing or what?

Recently, I have been trying to get my hands on a good Boeing 777 model. All my attempts have brought me to the same POSKY 777-200 base model which has no VC or Cockpit modes that work. Even some of the textures from POSKY don't give me a .cfg to add to the base model. Does anyone have any tips to get the cockpit working at least?

Hi, If I'm flying along in an airspace were there's a lot of traffic and the ATC is busy, and I come up to my first waypoint of a STAR without a clearance? I know that if there's a published holding you should fly that holding, but what if there is no published holding? Should you hold anyway, or start flying the STAR even though you don't have clearance for it?

I've had a similar problem. Only that the textures while taking off seem to be fine. However, when I'm on approach a lot of the textures do not load until I am on a very low altitude. Then everything loads and it's OK. The terrain is not barren, I can see landmarks and stuff, but the houses and stuff pop up when I've reached a very low altitude. I have installed: Woai packages (never had a problem) AI smooth FSXWX VAFS5 Tried lowering the global texture resolution, but still same problem.

Hello All Merry Xmas first of all I am wondering if you could recommend me some aircraft which are designed outside FSX flight model, I hope you know what I mean. FSX planes designed within the limits of FSX flight models always fly in a most predictable way, as though led on a lead or something. I know for a fact (becuase I have them) that Majestic Q400 and PT 154B-2 are external to FSX flight model, hence, they give you an entirely different experience to lets say Milviz or RazBam products. He has numerous repaints of this incredible aircraft, but an email to him a week ago has elicited no response. Has anyone had any success with John Murchison's BAe146-300 v1.1.zip aircraft and Mathias Liebarecht's ml146v41.zip panel in FSX? A friend and I have tried integrating the panel into a BAe146-300. We cannot get the power on or start the plane. The readme says that the built-in autostart does not work in FSX. CTRL+E does not work either. We even tried the various switches that are required to start the engines, per the manual, with no success. The autostart button does start the APU. If anyone has successfully integrated the panel into the -300 we sure would like to know how. The panel sure looks nice and is very well done. It's a real shame we cannot get it w…

I installed the Gold Version of SFX into a dedicated Folder in my iMac "Bootcamp" partition with no problem. However during the booting of FSX I receive a message reading .................. "An unexpected error occurred which is preventing product activation from being completed. Error Code1-80004005" I'm then given the option of further information on a Microsoft site but nowhere (and no surprise) is there help for FSX problems. If I continue booting FSX I get as far as my 777 being on the runway for about 30 seconds before FSX ends. Help would be much appreciated. Cliff

I started up FSX:SE today at it always gets stuck at "Completing setup: Generating scenery file indexes" on 0% completion. It won't change. I've tried deleting the SceneryIndex files from the ProgramFiles Microsoft folder, but it is not working. What could be the issue? UPDATE: It now gets to 94% but is still stuck.

Hi, ever since I updated my GTX650Ti drivers to version 372.90, I the textures in the far are not sharp and even the textures of the cockpit of the NGX changed. There are even not sharp any more from certain perspectives. For example, when I look from the captains seat to the overhead panel, it's blurry. When I move directly under the overhead panel the textures appear sharp; especially writings. How can I solve this problem? Might a certain setting at nvidiaInspector solve that problem? I have no idea. Otherwise the drivers works fine, I even noticed a slightly increase in framerate.

Hello all All these years later, I'm still finding issues of 'disappearing' FS9 AI when ground shadows are enabled within FSX (SE), even with relatively up-to-date third-party scenery such as the latest releases of both Aerosoft's Heathrow Xtended and FSDT's Zurich. I say 'disappearing' AI, but of course, the AI's still present and being controlled by ATC, but the graphics fail to display - although all lights appear ? However, it's still only certain scenery where this issue occurs. Just wondering really, if I've missed something and there's now some contemporary ideas of how to get both the AI and the ground shadows to appear. Btw, could someone pleas…
