Hello everybody! Perhaps some of you still remember me, I had to take a long (well, way too long ) break from flight simming, but now as university is nearly done, I am trying to get back again, still stuck with FSX-MS, as I don't want to spend money on a new platform and go through the process of migrating my stuff. In various operational flight plans, including the real-world ones and those from PFPX/Simbrief, there are trip fuel, contingency, holding fuel and extra fuel, etc. I cannot seem to find any of them with "missed approach fuel". I cannot understand why. If we do not plan any missed approaches, doesn't it mean that we have to divert to alternate if we make the first go-around? Because surely we will be already using reserve fuel at that time. Or maybe it is included as extra fuel?

Hi all! I was wondering if I could get some input on a cabin crew addon for FSX - particularly comparing FS2Crew to FSCaptain. I really enjoy that FSCaptain "monitors" your flying and makes comments on things like ice, steep bank angels, and the like. It really adds to the ambiance in the cockpit and challenges you to fly better, but the FO doesn't read through procedures. FS2Crew I know is top notch in the procedures side of things but does the FS2Crew reboot make the same sort of comments on the situation, or does the FO just read through checklists and take commands? If anyone has both, which do you prefer? Thanks!

As many of you know many of the 747's are beginning to be retired by all of the different airlines which operate them. However, they still appear as traffic in FSX. I installed them using WOAI however I would like to know if i'm able to make the simulator select a different model for that route for example making it so a Singapore 777-300ER is used instead of a 747-400 -Thanks Is there any other way to install traffic like WOAI?

When I set up a flight from Manchester (EGCC) in FSX-SE, I have to start Pro ATC X talking to me by contacting Clearance on 121.750, but the ATC window has Manchester Clearance on 121.700, so if I tune 121.750 I don't get the option to contact Clearance in the ATC window, this means I basically can't start Pro ATC X control for the flight. Anyone know how to fix this?

I've discovered that FSC isn't compatible with FSX-SE (per the creator, Volker Heine) and wonder if there are any addons comparable to FSNavigator or FS Commander which are compatible with FSX-SE. The default GPS which hasn't changed in years has always been a sad aspect of FS. (IMHO). Thanks!

Hello, When I switched over to the Steam edition I found that my RXP unit no longer functioned. I know that new steam-compatible units are being developed, so I'm looking for a temporary and inexpensive solution in the form of the Simflyer's unit. Has anyone tried their gauges in FSX:SE? Although I am aware that the majority of 727s did not have an autothrottle, I would very much like to fit one as an option on my Captain Sim 727-100 and 200. The aircraft.cfg is already showing the authrottle as enabled, but the default commands Shift/R (arm) and Ctrl/R (engage) do not work. Any ideas, please?

Or does that part matter? I'm curious. I'm learning to program at the moment, and one day when I have more experience I might want to try my hand at an addon.

Since installing this nice add-on, I have noticed that a large area at KDEN that uses to be concrete is now grass. It has a bunch of trucks and freight sitting on it which looks weird. Is it possible that REX WWA caused this? Thanks.

Hi Gents, I have just reinstalled fsx which installed perfectly. I have also installed queen of the skys by PMDG,& am now trying to reinstall my VFR real scenery. I have installed sp1 & sp2. The setup gets as far as the setup page where it asks me if i want to install, exit, or install service pack 1. I then select install as i have sp1 already installed, it then asks me what languge i want, after that the install shield page comes up it starts the install shield then nothing happens, & wont go any further. I have tried removing sp2 but that didnt sort the problem. I am now confused what to do next. It did install on a previous fsx version which ran very …

Hi there, So the title may not sound very clear, but my problem at the moment is that when I am in the air and having FSpassengers running along with Realwx Lite I can't go into into any menu, because when I do that and I close the "options" window for example my plane makes a weird turn, loses 80knt and Fspassengers will say I need to watch my G's. Whats the problem with this, or am I on the wrong forum? Casper.

HI, just recently I am having issues with the drop down menu commands. Clicking on anything - changing views etc - results in the ping noise and no action on the sim, it just freezes. I haven't changed or added anything - I also use a VR Headset and the same issues. Any ideas Gentlemen? Thanks Colin

After reading some nice stuff about the FS Labs Airbus recently (I´ve been an early adoptor last year, but since my SSD became quite full, and I wanted to reinstall XPX, I had to get completely rid of my FSX Acceleration install), I got myself a copy of FSX SE and installed it, along with the FS Labs A320X, FTX Global, FTX HD trees, the DX10 scenery fixer and AS16 for FSX, so just the essential stuff. All: I'm having a problem with a VOR whereby the radials depicted on the chart don't match the current sectional. Before describing my problem, I want to list the current navaid updates in use, as well as the sectional being referenced - Hervé Sors - World Navaids Package v. 7.43 (AIRAC Cycle 1607 - effective June 23, 2016) - Hervé Sors - Updated Magvar data (current as of 2016) - Current Jacksonville sectional (97th ed., valid from Feb 4, 2016 thru Aug 18,2016) The VOR in question (and the only one I've specifically looked into) is the Melbourne, FL VOR (MLB) at Melbourne Intl (KMLB); the variation for this VOR (in real life) is current as of 2015 (7oW), and matches …

Just doing some brush-up work on GPS approaches. The one that I am looking at is KAVX Catalina airport off the coast of Southern California. According to Airnav.com, the VOR/DME OR GPS-B (http://www.airnav.com/airport/KAVX) approach, for example, doesn't appear to line up in respect to the runway heading. The final bearing is 172'. Is that because of where the VOR is located on or near the airport? But with GPS, I would think it the approach would line you up on the runway in this case 220' +- magnetic variation. What am I missing? Thanks!

when i am flying from eham to katl my sim rate goes automaticly up at the coast of canada to 2 and then 4 i cant stop it only by pressing p but when i continue it starts again plz help!

It's my understanding that temperatures below -24C result in moisture NOT sticking to the airframe. If this is genuine, then why does the Q400 detect ice at -33C? Is this a limitation within the sim or something?

I just installed FSX-SE and wonder if any of the addons FSX I've accumulated through the years are permitted with the Steam edition. I particularly like to replace the minipanel with one that's more functional and can be found on avsim. Can we edit any of the .cfg files? add Active Sky, Flight Sim Commander, etc.? not to mention addon scenery and aircraft ... What can I look forward to without spending many times the purchase price of the basic edition?

Hi All, As anyone had any luck with an FS Force profile for this beautiful bird? I had been using the twin turboprop default profile but I was thinking that's probably more for a king air size. I found one person posted a profile for a Dash 8 (may have even been on AVSIM) but it's SUPER twitchy on the roll commands. Thanks! Lindsey

I have tried posting in hardware recently but no one seems to respond there, Getting a reply from Saitek is not easy either, get passed around. It is in FSX so grey line for this forum? But I am appealing for help from anyone. Since Windows 10 did an update earlier in the week my FIP stopped working. I restored back to the previous day. All worked fine. Installed the windows update again. Stopped working. Did this at least 3 times and the restore always fixed. Now have the 10 update again and they fail to work.
