Hi Guys, this is a new one for me. I'm running FSX SP2 on a Win7 64 sim-only system and just in the last two days my sim starts up giving me the error message in the topic title. Strangely I can just click it "ok" and the sim will start fine. I haven't flown every single aircraft in my hangar as there are too many, but the ones I tried so far appear to not be affected by this error message. I'd still like to fix it, does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks in advance, Peter

Hi guys, I had "My Traffic 2013" installed in FSX and some time ago it vanished from the sim. I can't seem to re install. I tried to bring back normal FSX traffic but also unabled to do so. Can someone help on how to get the normal traffic FSX back? Or even My traffic 2013". Thanks a lot in advance. JGoncalves

For starters, here is my system specs: Windows 10 Pro FSX Steam Edition 16 GB DDR3 RAM (2133) Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB) AMD FX-8350 8 core (4.0 Ghz) My add ons: Megascenery earth Pittsburgh Night Environment Pennsylvania FlyTampa Boston PMDG 737 (with 1611 AIRAC) World of AI vPilot Now, my issue has been terrible FPS in the game. I'm not wanting 60 FPS, but I'd like to get it steady around 25-30 FPS. My game can reach 18-20 FPS, but it can also tank down to 5. I've had it cause issues on a landing once from dropping to 5 FPS. My current situation has it a bit better.. around a steady 15 FPS, but during flight there were moments it tanked down …

I've seen spotty (and outdated) threads about this experience with no real fix (I guess I COULD reinstall the Q400, but I'd rather not). Everything about the 400 was working fine with my Saitek pedals/yoke and throttle quad until the last couple of days when my condition levers no longer respond to movements from my throttle quad. I can mouse them up and down and the throttle itself works fine, but condition levers are jacked. Anyone else have this happen and arrived at a fix?

Hi: This has been bothering me for some time. Started with FS9 and now am using FSX-SE on a new computer. (Win 10) It takes aircraft too long to take-off. Sometimes it is well beyond the end of the runway before leaving the ground. This is unrealistic. Watching aircraft at my local airport would indicate they need to pick up speed faster in the flite sim. The other problem is the turning radius. I have yet to be in a real aircraft that cannot do a 380 turn at the end of the runway yet in flite sim I constantly have to revert to the slew mode to make the turn. Are there some easy, not overly technical methods to correct this?

Dear forum members I have an odd problem in FSX and to a lesser extend in Prepar3d as well. This is the situation: In FSX an am in the default C172, engines on and all ready to go. Now the moment I engage the autopilot while still on the ground (odd I know), the trimwheel starts spinning in a runaway fashion either up or down with no stop. Mind you there is no target altitude set on the autopilot, neither an vertical speeds has been set. But is still keeps spinning. I do not use external hardware or run plugins or add-ons. Recently I downloaded a Dornier 17 "Flying Pencil" model off of simviaton. The model was originally from FS2004, and I know that gauges don't transfer over 90% of the time. But that's as far as my research got me. I would like to know if there is a way to modify the gauges in order to make them compatible with FSX (SP1)

I downloaded and installed the newest version of the T45 from Dino. The plane flies and looks great. I created a short flight plan in FSX and it showed up on the DDI but selecting AP did not get it to engage and follow the path and waypoints ( I fly the VRS F18 Superbug normally). The AP would not hold altitude or heading. Anyone have any insight to share? Also, I use two Thrustmaster MFDs with the VRS in addition to the HOTAS Warthog set. I scoured the Internet for LVARs for the T45 to be able to map the buttons in FSUIPC4 as I did for the VRS F18. I found an old post on the FSDreamTeam site but the offsets did not work with the new version...also did not work …

I updated my graphics card from a GTX 670 to a GTX 1070 and while I am getting a little better performance it isn't what I expected. With the Flight1 Mustang in cruise at 36,000 feet I am getting about 30 FPS, on the ground it is 25-30 fps. Full screen runs smoother than windowed mode, but I get better fps in windowed mode and when put my mouse cursor over the menu bar on the top my frames jump to way over 100 fps. I have NVidia Inspector setup correctly (at least I think so, nothing seems to make a difference in NI). Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks, John

Captain Sim are having a 24 hour sale with all products selling for 9.99 USD. However, only the 777 and 727 are specifically mentioned as FSX-SE compatible. Can anyone tell me if any of their other FSX products are Steam compatible? I would definitely buy the 707 and C130 and probably the B52 as long as I knew they were going to work in SE Thanks

1) Please confirm that PRO-ATC/X does not have voice control at this time but uses a menu system similar to Radar Contact. 2) I fly only in North America and only in GA and Business Jets. Would you recommend PRO-ATC/X for this type of flying? Thanks,

Hello i just tried P3D thought it would be better with the Frame rates but it was the complete opposite ! I REALLY LOVED THE PTA TOOL ! And the fact that there's no Alternative for FSX is a just a shame ! :( Is there any alternative you guys know ?

After not having to mess with any T-IR 5 settings in about 6 years, and with it having been on a 24" monitor, 32" HDTV, and a 55" HDTV with zero issues, it started acting a little unstable 3 days ago. I finally started playing with the settings tonight and it seemed to be so much harder than I remember to fine tune it. First of all I pulled the 55" TV closer to me and since the T-IR camera is so high I angle my hat up, and it works fine. Anyway, moving everything in some helped but it was jittery and super fast (Highly sensitive, even hyper so). Then I noticed two tiny sliders and instantly remembered, and laughed, and felt dumb. I am having a problem with terrain in FSX steam. When I open FSX it loads up and then I go to free flight and click "fly now". It loads to 33% then it slows down and loads about 1% every 3 minutes or so. When it finally loads the plane, runways, taxiways, but everything else is black! I recently purchased from steam Rex 4 Textures Direct and the problem started about 4 days after I installed it. I uninstalled Rex and FSX, then reinstalled them both. When I opened FSX and loaded up a flight, EXACTLY THE SAME THING HAPPENED! The only thing i can think of that I might have done to make this happen, is I had some new scenery so i deleted the old scenery i had for that air…

Hello everybody, My addiction for FSX has grown very much the last years and now with the PMDG 737 my laptop can't handle it anymore. (core 2 duo 1.83ghz, 4gb ram, ati radeon mobility T5550) Currently I'm not capable to spend a lot of money so I found one second hand for under 200 euros... AMD Phenom II Quadcore 3.2 Ghz AMD ATI HD 7970 3GB 8 GB RAM 1.5 TB HDD Would this be good enough for FSX + ORBX package + PMDG 737? Thanks very much!

I've recently had this problem twice in a row now. In the middle of a flight, unexpectly, I get a sort of "No disk in the drive" error message, and I have no choice but to shut down the sim. Did anyone else get this problem, and if so, how did you resolve it? Thanks.

Any word on a release day for v2 of this program or even the added features/benefits? Or is v2 just a rumor and not really being worked on?

I just go in my mailbox the Pilots Global Ultimate Next Generation mesh disks and I was thinking about doing a review with some comparison screenshots vs. my now current Freemesh install. So what is the best way to get the screenshots. I was thinking of positioning my aircraft and then saving the flight with the view in the right direction then repeating after the install. Is there better way ? thanks. Oh, I should add, if anyone has some place they would like me to compare, just type in the details here and I will do a few of them for you.

hey guys, I am having an issue with my sim. I load up FSX steam and it loads to the home page where I can choose free flight, aircraft, location, weather etc. Up to here everything seems fine. Once I choose my options (default or add ons) the sim doesnt load any further. I says that it is not responding then closes on its own. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of times, ran updates but to no help. Anyone have any suggestions. Ive tried contacting steam support but its been 2 week with no replies. scott

Hello, im getting often Prop rpm overrun in cruise. (Pro Version) cruising in FL220 , speed is 20 to 30 knots below max, Prop rpm 850, mode max crusie is on, but i fly with lower power, most 50 to 55 %. suddenly one prop switch to over 1000 rpm into the red range. Engine Warning goes on. sometime the left, sometime the right engine. have to shut down and restart the engine to solve this. but why this happen? in manual i read, turbulence can affect this, but there are no turb from AS16. have no overspeed, no icing is reportet in cruise.
