Searched through various forums but most of the REX posts seem to be dated a few years back. So could you answer a basic question first. I have REX4 and soft clouds + ASN. I load up ASN then I load REX4 and see the usual start warning that this will overwrite my textures in FSX. Now I tend to use the same theme (at present) each time I start fsx, so do these textures from REX remain overwritten or does FSX revert to original FSX textures on every startup? In short do I have to load REX4 each time I start up? My second question is related to the new REX product that I have just purchased ie World Wide Airports. I have duplicate GA AI traffic.Checked my world scenery\scenery and do not see anything strange.Commercial traffic OK.Have FTX ga traffic installed.There used to be a program to delete dupe AI traffic.I am old guy been doing this a long time but take summers off (in Illinois to golf after work,I walk and need the exercise!) so takes me awhile to catch up on flight sim stuff in basement for winter .Thanks for any help.Ron

I also had this issue after using a software from MogwaiSoft called Shade, bought at simmarket. It lets one edit the FSX color palette. The problem was had I used the option "Set and forget" for one palette preset without making sure what I was setting was 100% ok (apparently the fog color wasn't). So those palettes were permanently installed into FSX and uninstalling Shade didn't help. Fortunately the author of Shade (mogwaisoft) includes a file with the original FSX (and FS9) palette presets so you can revert to the original state if you mess things up. I did a system recovery and as a result lost serial numbers to all of my add-ons. I've been able to install nearly all of the payware and there were many. I purchased many airports including GSX from FS Dreamteam and for the past several days have been waiting for the serial numbers. I was told they were e-mailed to my personal e-mail account but haven't seen it, even though I checked the filters. I posted on the FS Dreamteam forum and was told they would be e-mailed in other ways. I even asked for the numbers to be sent via my forum mailbox, still nothing. My question is am I the only one who is having trouble with FS Dreamteam or are there others. If there are others…

How many references to display settings are normally set in the FSX config file? I had three references all basically stating the same settings. Thanks in advance.

Is there a consensus on which is currently the best mesh for FSX/P3D ? I'm aware that Justin is back in business, but no idea how the quality compares to old stuff, or any others. Great as FreeMesh-X is, especially it being FREE, its definitely not as good as the old FSG mesh. I need to repurchase, as I lost mine in a backup disaster some while ago. Cheers

Hello everyone! I am a proud and satisfyied FSCaptain customer, but this add-on has just given me the opportunity to find an issue with my FSX. FSCaptain detects damaged flaps due to overspeed (through A:FLAP DAMAGE BY SPEED and A:FLAP SPEED EXCEEDED vars), and modifies your flight score accordingly. These vars are toggled if the flap damaging/blownout speeds defined in the flaps section of aircraft.cfg are exceeded. I flew yesterday in dire conditions, and I know I got the flaps out well above the damaging speed. No impact. Hi guys, When flying into IMC conditions at night, it looks as if I were flying through the clouds/fog during day lighting. This happens whether it's rain, fog, snow. I attatched a screenshot below to show what I'm talking about. This was taken with the sim set at 11PM. I am using ASN (did this with ASE too) and REX for textures. Over on the REX support forum, they concluded it's not REX causing the issue. I have no idea where to go from here since I haven't changed anything (that I know of) with FSX. I have noticed that the terminals are missing in some of my payware airports and a few trees and houses are floating. Hello folks, I downloaded a freeware AS350 helicopter from the internet, tested it and found a annoying problem. The rotor blades disappear behind clouds and autogen obejcts. So the rotor blades disappear almost the entire time. I already tried everything. Replaced the blade textures with other blade textures from FSX default helicopters, from other freeware FSX AS350 addons, from other freeware FSX helicopters, I adjusted the 'alpha' channel of the faulty blade textures with photoshop.. Nothing solved the problem. So my question is if anyone has a AS350 with working "bmp" rotor blade textures like "prop_as_main.bmp" and "prop_as_tail.bmp" for FSX? Best regards, P…

Hello to everybody, I'm using fsx steam on windows 10 (64) , I'm having an annoying problem with little stutters and tearing effect . I've follow Nick's guide and all run perfectly without crash or error, but is still present this problem. I read something about vsync and win 10 but I don't understand well , I'm using it with nvidia inspector, but without success. I also read about windows aero on win10 than can fix some problems about vsync. can you confirm me this? do you have any suggestion to fix this problem? thank you in advance, Riccardo

Yes FSpassengers is great and all, it adds more reality to the sim, but whenever I start up a flight with the NGX (-800 specifically) at the gate, the sim says the aircraft has crashed. Not the sim, the aircraft. After a few 10 seconds or so, the report leading to the so-called "incident" shows up. Luckily my airline doesn't lose income or rep.

is EGPWS (terrain radar) simulated in the wilco erj-145 v2 and is the plane considered a study sim? Thanks

I'm just getting things sorted out on a new PC. I transferred most of the stuff using a program designed to do such things. But somehow, now, FSX-SE, which is certainly installed without any FSX being there, is using the FSX-SE folders instead of FSX folders in AppData and ProgramData. When I've done this stuff before I did manage to find the registry entry to change this behaviour, but I simply cannot find it now. I know there's a reply here in one topic which gives the answer, but I can't find a search text which will find it. Can someone help, please? Pete

Hi, I've posted here not too long ago, in another thread, about how my aircraft was not lining up with the runway correctly. I was told to download and run the registry fix and the ILS/Runway Regional Updates for world. The first time I had this problem, I would get a localizer green, or capture, and the ND would indicate that I was not lined up with the runway and I was to the left of runway centerline. After running the registry fix, that seem to have solved the problem. This time, I'm making an approach to JFK International on ISL runway 22R. I'm running a p3d 3.3.5 installation using multiple monitors and the pilot edition of the q400 using multiple displays. I have a primary monitor for the virtual cockpit, and two secondary monitors for panels. Loading the aircraft normally and moving the panels to these monitors works without a hitch. However, if I save this scenario and then try to load it again, I only get black screens and nothing else happens. It doesn't even crash, I just get the black screens for forever. The panels are placed at the correct positions on the different monitors, but these are black as well. I hear a bunch of start-up sounds during loading (e.g. warning messages and such), but as soon …

Hi all. Can somebody point me towards good ground services add on? I mostly like GSX but they just work/don't work depending on the mood I guess on certain locations. When I add parking spots or cargo ramps it never works while FSX recognizes all the changes without issue. I troubleshooted it in all possible ways found in the net but no luck so I'm done. Time to move on and hope somebody can point me on something that works. I fly mostly cargo if it makes any difference. Thank you in advance.
