First off, my rig. Win 10/64bit, AMD FX6300 CPU 4.0 gig, ASUS 970 MB, 16 meg 2400 speed ram, 2 SSD's, Nvidia GTX 750 ti 2 gig ram. 29 inch LG Ultrawide monitor. Ok, Have had FS9 in the past, but, laid off for several years. Built the new rig, and rekindled my love of FS. Tried to load FS9, would not work. So, decided to purchase FSX Deluxe Edition purchase the Steam addition, because I have several other games from them. (all work great). Steam itself is loaded on C:\, I loaded FSX and other games on the D drive. FSX installed, and ran fine. (sorta). I am plagued by what I call pop ups. Meaning, as I fly, the textures pop up. I'm trying to figure out why my night flying is so horrible. I used to love night flights in FS9 but FSX is a no-go. Now before you say FS9 was too bright and FSX is realistic, that's not the problem. I have watched dozens of night vids and my "environment" is nothing like that. For example, for landing, the runway isn't visible until maybe a couple miles out. I flew last week into SNA and had no idea where I was going. I wasn't able to land centerline at all because I simply cannot see the runway lights. Same with a trip I tried into PHX. Way off the center. hi community, I have no idea what Aerosim have done with the 787, but I thought I would drop my finding here to see if anybody else may be on the same track as myself; I am talking of course about the dreaded AS_B8.dll error. Like a lot of us, I have emailed Aerosim about this error, only to get the return email that I should reinstall my FSX. Obviously, this is hardly a choice for most of us who invest a lot of time installing and tweaking our sims. Dear: I am thinking to get a 737-200 and a 737-400 for FSX/P3D. I presently have FSX Acc., no P3D yet. I own PMDG 737 NGX. There are quite a few 737-200's like Captain Sim, Just Flight (Black Box) and Milviz. 737-400 by Just Flight and Feelthere. But I am confused. I'm seeking one which is as good as or at least closer to the PMDG's system wise. I am not after just good looking planes with less important animations. Please help me to choose. Going through a reinstall of FSX and I am progressively installing the Service Packs. FSX Stock runs fine, FSX with SP1 runs better but once I install SP2 I get an APPCRASH on startup, unknown module. If I uninstall SP2 it fires up just fine. I have removed my FSX.cfg and allowed it to build a new one - Same Issue I have changed WideView to True and applied the HiMemFix - Same Issue I have even moved the same UIAutomationCore.dll from my previous install which worked fine - Same Issue Any suggestions? Ok, I know this post is EXTREMELY old, but I don't want to start a new thread, I've made some minor discoveries regarding this matter, the VC of ALMOST all AC is like "tinted" slightly (but very noticeable for me, and very unwanted and annoying). If you move the VIEWPOINT across the VC to the outside and you trespass the glass you can see the huge difference, this told me it's a "glass" thing and not a "camera". I found a way to remove "light reflections" from your AC VC windows, just delete or rename the file %Airplane name%_Reflection.dds inside the SimObjects>%Airplanename% BUT this doesnt remove this "tinted glass of the windows". Just purchased the C441, getting ready to take it for a spin. Hopefully the release is a complete aircraft, with minimal bugs.

I am running the Flight One GTN 750 in FSX with my compatible aircraft and I love it. One thing and I hope it's not a stupid question. Messages within the 750 continuously displays 'Home Key Stuck'. This message does not display when running any other programs on my PC. Does it refer to a problem with my keyboard or to something specific to the 750? I have searched a lot on the web but can find no answer. Thanks

Hi, I'm trying to set up FSX-SE with a Saitek ProFlight Yoke to fly instrument approaches in a 182. In the real plane, it is easy to pitch/trim to airspeed and control descent with power to fly a stabilized approach. Trying to apply the same mechanics to the sim, however, as in reducing power, pitching slightly nose-down and trimming to track a glideslope, leads to pitch oscillations and instantaneous changes in vertical speed/altitude that are very unrealistic. I've read a few threads that rave about FSUIPC fixing this kind of thing, but it's not clear to me how filtering/modifying the joystick input would fix what looks like a flight modeling problem or limit…

Hi there, So recently I bought PFE, because from what I've seen it has been a decent ATC mod. But then I ran into a problem. After awhile before landing you obviously get vectors for a runway and decending instructions. But that something that hasn't really worked out so well for me. I fly with a default aircraft, so not FMC, everything need to go through atc. But they only give me intructions till FL100, so I'm flying over the runway at FL100... Can someone explain to me why this is happening... Thanks for reading!

Does anyone know if there is an accurate addon for either FSX or P3D for O'Hare now that they've added and subtracted runways? Either existing or work-in-progress would be interesting.

I am new to fsx steam, I assigned my Saitek throttle pressing throttle 1 down to the key assignment "throttle decrease quickly" and set repeat to full right slider. fsx steam does not save that. I quit fsx, and reboot, start fsx again, the repeat slider is to the far left on zero repeat. each time changing repeat slider to far right, quit fsx, it does not save and saves as no repeat instead. Please help!

Hello ... the hard drive with my FSX fail. I had to replace it. The FSX data is on a different partition and I was able to transfer the data to the new drive. I need to hook it back up with windows. I tried using this program, but it didn't work for me. I don't know what I did wrong. If any one knows how to use this software or knows how I can connect the FSX data with windows 7 please post. 64 bit Win 10. Noticeable improvement in: Lighting. Clarity. Smoothness. Anti-aliasing. It will change your default sound/voice device, so you will have to reset that. Very pleased! N99WB

Is there any addon/mod that would change the way aircraft act on wet runways, icey runways, that would give me say a soggy effect on wet grass runways, etc? Thanks.
