I recently installed FSX SE after uninstalling FSX following all guidelines. I get a pop up that reads; Scenery Config. file error ( ORBX\FTX_AA_PAHO \Scenry) in scenery area 194 not found I have about twenty of those pop-ups of different scenery that I have to click on before I can reach the Steam Page.

Anyone know how to use the avilasoft display in FSX? I have both provider and display on one computer and the menu comes up in fsx but nothing shows when I make a selection. Any experience with this? Thanks.

So... over the past few days I've had this problem... this happens on a number of aircrafts both addon and default... I first noticed it on the wilco/feelthere 737. Basically, after landing, manual or ILS, the aircraft is stuck turning right... but the nose gear is just going striaght... my first thought was the thrust was uneven, nope. Next thought was the rudder, I have autorudder on, so nope. Planes its happened on is Wilco/Feelthere 737 PMDG 737NG, the PMDG 737 is a conversion of the FS9 plane, its not the problem as it worked fine up until a few days ago. I hear developers for years say they do not do this effect because animations cause fps hits and bad performance. But I look at all the aircraft out today, and see such useless animations like moving windows, sun shades, seats, etc. So is that really a valid excuse? One of the most important aspects of flying is looking out the window and in bad weather the lack of ability to do this, in heavy rain and snow, having to use the wipers. This was a feature of FS9 but I have read not implemented well in FSX. Running Win 8.1 64bit, Geforce 630GT/2gig, 3.0 Intel i5 4430 with 8gigs of ram, Lenovo K-450 desktop. Had to do some repairs and when everything was ready to go FSX was operating but most of my 3rd party addons have texture problems. For the moment my main concern is my Cheyenne payware. It always showed up all black. I finally uninstalled and tried to reinstall using the disks for the aircraft. So yesterday I landed in vrmm, weather was bad untill about 2000 feet. landed whatever easy. but now 24 hours later after just now turning pc on and attempting to fly back to dubai. My textures are grey, black and green. at first I was using free ware so I disabled it and it still happened. In the cockpit, three out of 6 screens load and 3 are just black but if I go out of the cockpit and come back in its all greyed out So I decided to load at dubai to see if my entire sim is fubar, but it worked normally. Good day, I am new to this forum and in FSX also. I wish someone can answer my two questions. 1-Why somethimes (1/3) on my take-off with the 737NGX my speed tape don't move at all? The speed tape come alive after rotation and after stall horn. I cannot figure what I forget. 2-Why I don't hear any boarding/deboarding sound with GSX? I can hear all other sound like cathering, baggage cart... but nothing when the crew welcome the passenger and so on. I try to find answer everywhere but no one can help me, maybe here? Good evening, Gents! I recently upgraded my gfx card to a gtx 690 in nvidia surround (3x24"). Its starting to work out great (had some problems with the pmdg 747 & md11, and FSL Concordex, but they are solved now except for the concorde). I now turn my attention to the papi lights, which I find WAY too big. I havent gotten around to taking a screen shot yet, but they are so big they obscure the entire runway during daylight hours. Its not really that they are too bright, but, as I say, they are too big. Other lights seem to be ok, so its just these papi lights. Do anyone know of a fix for this? I have the camera/terrain shaking problem too. This is how the story goes for me. I used to have FSX STEAM EDITION installed with the following addons: ORBX BASE ORBX OPEN LC ORBX VECTOR FS GLOBAL ULTIMATE EUROPE/AFRICA EZDOC CAMERA FLYTAMPA ATHENS LGTT FREEWARE LGAT FREEWARE FSUIPC SPAD I am not sure exaly when the problem occured but I did upgrade to WINDOWS 10 and also like to keep my NVIDIA drivers up to date. KFSM. How/when would you configure flaps/slats speed and gear down CRJ 700 for this approach? From the southwest, I crossed the airport @ 2400', 180 knots and flaps 8 before the DME began. 2400' seemed, looking out the window, pretty low with all those hills.

I am trying to install the CLS MD81 but after entering the Licence Key I get the message that the program is already installed and then it stops. The CLS MD81 has never been installed on this machine so I can't try to uninstall it. I am trying to install it into FSX (Boxed Version) on Windows 7. Any ideas? Thanks

I have not been able to find AI-flight plans for the now ceased Roblex Aviation. There are repaints for ai-aicraft but perhaps no traffic.bgl file for them. Anyone?

The overall transparency of my cloud textures changes with different weather. Sometimes they are full and thick and look great but other times they are weak and transparent and take on the colors of the background sky and you can also see through them to the clouds behind them. This has always been an issue in flightsim but since it occurs in some weather and not others, I am wondering if it might be possible to NEVER have transparent clouds? because they don't look good and I don't see any point in them. Cloud transparency is part of the cloud texture itself and a big towering thunderhead that you can see through just doesn't look right.

Hi, I am considering installing the "Quality Wings B757 Ultimate Collection" in Windows10 with FSX-SE? Has anyone experience with this installation? The website says it's not tested and it "should" work. Are there any issues with the installation and the actual sim running? Thanks for help

Many people are in the process of installing FSX SE. Before doing that we must uninstall FSX and all related scenery, aircraft, and utilities and it must be done completely. My question is if there is a huge amount of scenery, aircraft, and utilities that have been accumulated over the years would it be better, quicker to do a full system recovery? I understand one would have to bring back their browser and other things not related to flight sim but in the long run, would it be quicker and more thorough than un-installing everything individually and going through the registry to make sure everything is gone? I use ASN , REX soft clouds and texture direct, and ezydok and from what I read I will still need ASN/REX to generate clouds. I use PFPX to get a flight plan and I am told the latest ASN can import that file as does my PMDG737NGX. Can OPUS FSI import a flight plan from PFPX? Can OPUS FSI generate a spoken ATIS when a com freq is tuned? Can DHM be disabled for particular views?

I'd like to invite you all to follow a project we have been working on. It's an exciting project using various PC simulators to travel the world. The project is underway and we started the journey in the United Kingdom in Bristol and the journey is currently in France. After distraction, I noticed I was inverted and stalling. Altitude was 9000' and I managed to correct by around 3000'. A good ship, but I doubt the vomit smell can be cleared. $1 million OBO.

After a system rebuild and reinstall of FSX the landing lights on incoming traffic are way too bright - not like before the crash. Once I see the traffic, the brightness starts to occur about halfway in. What can I do to turn it down a few notches? In case it matters, I have Plan-G running. I'd attach a screenshot but I don't see a way to do that on the forum. Must I upload it to photobucket or elsewhere? Also, I'm pretty sure that in my previous install I could spot incoming traffic much further out than 2.5 miles. Should I expect better than that? Best Regards, Gary

Hi there, So this may seem a bit stupid, but I'm kinda new to flight simulator and all these programs, but I've been looking at pro-atc for a while now and I am maybe going to buy this program. But I've looked everywhere if the program supports the default aircraft, since the GPS system(To my knowledge) is different to what a FMC does. So the question is if I buy it will I won't regret it, because it won't work? Thanks!

Hey guys! After I have seen great Screenshots about the ford trimotor from C-1 here at avsim I purchased it... it costs a minimum of 6 dollar so, great deal. But I dont get EZDOK to work with it. It crashes when I load the trimotor. The error message says that EZDOK could not write to ...\Appdata\Roaming\EZCA\db\virtual_cockpit\CR-1Software.Ltd "Ford Tri-Motor 4AT-B Standard Ford Delivery"_.ini I looked into the folder from the error message, there is no ini file for this plane. I tried to re run the EZDOK configurator but it changed nothing. All other planes work normal with EZDOK. Anyone who knows something about this? Thanks!

There's one relatively short thread here on Avsim that quite honestly doesn't have a whole lot of information of interest to potential buyers.
