When the cockpit view of the Majestic Dash 8 first appears all five large screens are lite up for about a second showing flight data then in three screens there's the large green T that appears which is normal the other two are showing the normal data. The large green tee in the three screens is not going away. I'm in the configuration where the instruments are working but the engines are not. I have FSX SE.

Hello everyone, I probably could write a novel on this. But since nobody would read it, let me try to be as brief as possible. In my FS9 world I enjoyed airports full of various AI traffic for years. When, in 2013, I switched to FSX, it stopped being enjoyable. Using AI traffic, payware airports and airliners (yes, I am a big tube pilot) plus real weather, I had to compromise sliders, like most of you. Even then the performance was rather bad. One year ago I bought iFly 744 (I love 747) and decided to celebrate it with a 744 world tour, starting in the US. Hi all, I'm searching for a realistic camera shake/vibration profile (.vib) for EZDOK. I have tried quite a few settings, but am at a loss to say what comes closest to the real world experience. Some seem rather intense while others are maybe too smooth. Don't have any flights booked right now and I can't quite recall my own experience in the back of the cabin. It should be for a medium-sized aircraft, B737 or A320. Thanks a lot for any pointers! :smile:

Hey folks. Unfortunately for me, historic weather is not working anymore. I used to use version 4.50 in which historic weather worked fine and when I came back to simming I got 4.64/65 and historic weather has not been working. It won't download and load the weather. I don't know what could be wrong. The ensured that the date in the sim is just a few hours behind whatever the current time is and ticked historic weather in Opus. Live weather is okay though.

Hello folks, when Im flying during night times in FSX the night is just too bright. With ENB and Reshade I could more or less darken the night. But problem with those two addons is that it darkens everthing for the night. Areas that are not supposed to be darkend like the cockpit, the sky, the city lights and the stars. Its too bad because then most of the stars are not visible anymore. So my question is if there is a tool/addon/program or a tweak out there where you can decide which areas should be very dark at night? Best regards, Patrick

Hey! I checked on my last flight via task manager the graphs for my six core amd fx6300... Core 0 was maxed out the most time, the other 1 to 5 cores where all the same at around 40% I use an Affinity mask of 64. I run several other progs beside FSX - active sky and so on. Now my plan is to make Core 0 as free as possible and assign all other programs (active sky, ProATC x, fsrealtime...) to the cores 1 to 5. I think this should be possible via task manager Affinity settings. Anyone who tried this already?

Hey folks, I'm a new user to the Q400 Pro Edition. What I figuered out is, that random failures are usually on - so I was looking for any abnormal checklists in the documentation of the aircraft, but didn't find any. Am I just blind or stupid? Or aren't there any? Which would be ridiculous on sophisticated plane like the Q400 with installed failure system... Hope you can help me!

Good evening. Turned on FSX this afternoon. All started normal, up until the point the free flight screen opened. In the box where you see your plane, all I have is a box with clouds and sky. All the aircraft show up when I click the button to select a plane, but nothing shows up on the main screen. If I try to fly, all I see is the panel and sky. No other scenery or textures. Eventually, I get 2 error messages. First says the aircraft cannot be found and FSX will search for a defaul a/c instead. Immediately after I get a second message saying that there are no cfg files and I need to reinstall FSX. Has anyone else encountered this ? Thanks for you…

I just tried two separate installs and got the white text across the top of the screen telling me that the weather download failed...( and yes, I have Internet :smile: )

I posted this in the Carenado forum a few days ago without a response. Reposting here. I've had the Carenado C90B King Air for several months now. I can't keep it stable in flight. Once trimmed for reasonably level flight taking attention off the controls to tune a radio results in a climb or dive. Once stable, a turn will result in the same thing. I'm convinced if real flight were this difficult no one would ever attempt it. I have the CH Eclipse Yoke. I would welcome any suggestions.

Hey! Which limits and values do you use when flying different aircrafts? In fact, we could land when we want, its an simulator... but I have set limits for myself. So I have to go around and/or divert when I reach my RVR limit for example. (And I always trie to imagine a money-headed airline and the passengers behind me :-) For the PMDG NGX I use these values: Manual Landing down to 2600ft RVR. Autoland between 2600ft and 600ft RVR. Max Tailwind for TO and LDG is 10kts Max Crosswind is 35kts For other Airliners, as the Dash8 for example I dont have wored them out as of now... What do you use? Which values could I add? Thanks!

Dear forum, I have the following problem. When I'm in the cockpit of the PMDG 737-800 (by means of keyboard keys) about go to a different configuration, then it pops up in a split seconds on the screen an image of FSX in blue. This happened in all actions in the cockpit. for example shift 6, overhead panel or woolliness 2, CDU all go advance to a fsx image in blue. can you give me indicate how I can correct this? Hey pilots and repainters! I have solved my last issue with the help of you awesome guys (a post a few weeks ago about bmp and dds). But I have a new one... I still want to repaint the realair legacy v2. I have all the artwork done and generated the dds... But when I trie the repaint, it is absolute missaligned on the plane, as thw title says it look like someone has taken the paper with my repaint and wrapped the plane with it, but absolute wrong ^^ Dont have a Screenshot on hand, will add that later. But maybe someone understands what I talk about? :-) Thanks!

I'm wondering if any of you can help me in finding out what kind of graphics card/hardware i need in order to achieve a really good realistic flight simulator... I have redone the order listing in the scenery library in fsx several times and it always goes back to the mixed up version. I have looked at the scenery config file and it is like this Starting from the top FS9 World Scenery Area 001 Default Terrain Area 002 Default Scenery Area 003 Base the base continues till 1107 Then it lists thew countries then the cities then the Addon Scenery I have fsx 10 running win 7 64 bit, have several Orbx scenery, no other third party sceneries installed In the scenery library in fsx it starts with numbers then it will list some countries, then more numbers,then some countries and finally the orbx stuff. Hi, I'd like to add a bit of structure to my flying, mostly larger GA aircraft around Europe. I have subscribed to FSEconomy but can't find any of the planes I have available near any airport I would like fly from! I've used FS Passengers with FS9 years and found it a bit repetitive eventually. Never tried FS Captain, does this add anything extra than what's offered by FSPassengers and isn't this aimed solely at airliners? Any other options or ideas? Let me know your thoughts! Thanks, Paul

Hello, I have the Aerosim 787 and I can't change my V/S. It is literally blank. I have tried reinstalling and etc, but nothing has really worked. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

I want to install FSX SE on my computer, and I have regular FSX installed already. I have two options: Option 1 Uninstall FSX, after FSX SE is done installing, move all FSX SE compatible aircraft, move all FSX SE compatible scenery. Option 2 Keep FSX and install FSX SE. If that's possible. I want to know if you can install those both or if I have to uninstall regular FSX.

You could go back in time....say 30 seconds or more to perfect a landing, or solve the problem that corrects a crash, or a serious error in flight. I'm talking about FSX, of course. I just made a great flight from Allentown, Pa to Sanford airport in Florida with an Allegiant MD-83. This flight took a little over 2 hours out of my life. As I'm flying closer to my destination, I want to complete this flight flawlessly because it has been error-free......except for the landing. This plane is unforgiving if you come down too hard on the front gear. It was a beautiful landing at 150 knots, and I flared perhaps just a little too much. Then I came down on that sensiti…

Anyone else who has this plane that can chime in? This plane requires 80% power to taxi for me. Even when it's rolling if you power back to 70% it stops. That just doesn't seem right. I was watching a video and it says all you have to do it release the brakes to taxi - https://youtu.be/go-W37vP_cM?t=3m55s (granted that is a Model 35. Could be different.) I am using the Dynamic Friction LUA with FSUPIC and even changed it all the way down to .001 (from .050 default) and it still takes a ton to taxi. Is that the way a real LJ25 is?

I'm trying to help out a fellow virtual flying club member who is trying to remove some aircraft from his FSX-SE, but they won't go away. He deletes the aircraft from the \SimObjects\Airplanes folder, but when he goes to the aircraft selection screen they're still there, and can be loaded and flown. Yet he is certain that the folders are gone. Based on my own experience (with boxed FSX only) I can see only two possible explanations for this: 1. Copies of the aircraft folders still exist, perhap with misleading names (although if this were ture I would expect that prior to deletion, FSX would have been warning about identically-named aircraft). 2. I was surprised how easily the installation went. Nice to be flying the Tuhska again. I'd been flying it since its first release way back when. My computer suffered a fatal disk crash a couple of weeks ago, and with Windows 10 on the replacement, installing FS2004 just wasn't an option.

Any links on getting sids/stars. I have Simplex but have problems with it.
