Hello! I recently migrated my C drive from an HDD to an SSD (high recommended, by the way), but in the process it appears my FSI license is no longer valid. I am only able to run in Demonstration Mode, and the log file says I have an invalid license. I am thinking about upgrading to 5.0, but am concerned that if the upgrade does not recognize a valid 4.73 license that the upgrade will not be possible? JKH

I'm thinking of purchasing the NGX. This is probably a stupid question, but I'm not smart when it comes to computers, so I'll ask anyway: My video card is the XFX Radeon RX 470 4gb Triple X. It is DirectX12 capable, but the recommendation for the NGX is DirectX11 capable. Will it still work with my PC? My apologies if this is a stupid question.

Does anyone else experience VAS issues with FlyTampa's YSSY(Sydney) and the PMDG 747 QOtS while still at the gate? I have disabled most of the other Add-on sceneries except the UK2000, and the default sceneries yet have had a VAS shutdown twice at the gate. Any pointers? Nothing set to max sliders. Does not happen at other airports.

Considering all the high end GA fans here at AVSIM, I was surprised to see that no-one has posted about this release, early on Sat. :smile: Looks really nice, and a pretty low entry fee too. Hi all, just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem and has any info or possible solution. The problem is that when I switch to the "Outside View: Locked Spot" (usually f11 for me) the view has to catch up to whatever aircraft I am flying. I think it starts at or near when I last used the view so it could be several thousands or hundreds of kilometers. It is all blurry at the start and the camera view is physically chasing across land and/or sea after my aircraft until it catches up to it. I never had this issue with FSX boxed edition but for the past year or two of using FSX-SE extensively it has been a problem. Any suggestions? Thanks,…

Hi Guys, Im having this issues with FSX since I bought my new PC. Turns out basically during sunrise/sunset and specially at nights the textures of the Sky and Clouds mostly look kinda grainy and also nights are way too bright. The sky seems to have some kind of lines in it. Im pretty sure it has something to do with my Monitor Settings since Im using a Samsung LED Monitor with HDMI connection to my graphics card and I just took a couple of screenshots and sent them to my iphone and when I saw them there the nights were perfectly dark and the grainy textures disapeared. I'm trying to taxi my B737-800 ( done before ), but for some reason I cannot turn the front gear when I twist my joystick. ( only turns rudder but the plane does not turn nor does the front gear ) How do I unlock the front gear to turn?

Hello simmers, I have a question about the flight plan weather in Prepar3d v3. Let's say I've made a flight plan in OpusFSI. I prefer to inject the flight plan weather into P3d when in the gate and then close OpusFSI completely. By doing so, does the weather at my destination correspond to the destination airport metar at the moment of the weather injection? In other words, will I find the right weather (the destination metar at the moment of weather update before closing OpusFSI) when I arrive at the destination airport? I ask because when checking the destination airport weather in the P3d own map, it doesn't seem to correspond with the metar. I want …

I just downloaded the L-188 Cargo created by Team FS KBT along with the fix. I installed both as instructed, and the aircraft exterior skin does not show up! It's like I'm looking at the interior textures. Anyone else ever experienced this problem?

Twice yesterday I've tried to land using the ILS for 34L at NRT (Tokyo Narita) in the default 737 with default scenery for the region. Both times, I'm lined up with the runway, but the ILS has me descending well below glidescope, down to under 1,000 feet about 10 miles out from the runway. Fearing an imminent crash I turn back on the altitude hold to take me back up to the glidescope (per the marker on my artificial horizon). Shortly after I do that, my ATC automatically goes into missed approach. So, I just purchased the GTN750 from www.flight1.com How do I register it? I assumed it was registered when I got the activation code?

Following is copied and pasted from PMDG website: This product uses a full virtual cockpit and does not include 2D panels. (Some pop-up functions avail.)....so 747-400 v3 works in virtual cockpit only, no 2D cockpit. When I select virtual cockpit in 747-400x, graphics are nowhere as sharp as 2D cockpit!!! is it the same in 747-400 v3?

FSX Acceleration/ DX10 preview mode with FTX/Orbx Global, etc. Just did a fresh/clean re-install and noticed everywhere I go, hundreds of black squares appearing on the ground near streets, presumably where streets lights/ etc. I did some trial and error, and when I deactivate the following files, they boxes disappear, as well as all lighting! Hey! For a few weeks now, I've been having some major issues with FSX. The screenshot just explains it all: As you can see, all of my textures are black, with auto gen on top. This happens where grass and/or water is supposed to be. This screenshot was below medium settings. If I put it above medium settings, all of the black gets replaced with water. I have an AMD A6 processor, with Radeon R4 graphics. This happened when I woke up and turned on my PC. It was working fine the night before. HELP! Signed, Liovo

Can I have both PMDG 747-400 V3 and PMDG 747-400 X installed in the same MS FX? will it work?

I have ran into several default airports in FSX and I have deleted the MTX bgl files but I am still getting duplicate towers. For instance I was at KPDX in Portland and There were are two towers side by side. each hold short has two lines and different textures. Taxiway signs in the middle of the taxiways. Usually this is a sign of a duplicate AFCAD but I have used the Airport scanner program and it found nothing. Any thoughts?

Getting sick of the OOM limit and moving my water slider down to 1x high. What are good water textures for 1x? Rex only look good in my opinion when 2x medium or high. I am running DX9

I've been using Ezdoc2 in FSX with no problem for some time. But suddenly, when I go to any exterior view of an aircraft all that can be seen is the exterior view of the minimum structure needed to create the VC view or the visible components (wings, props,etc) that should be viewable from the cockpit. The VC looks and functions normally. The exterior views are incomplete. Has anyone seen this happen? Thanks for any help,

Hi! I have been using GSX for a while with no problems. Now, all of the sudden, GSX is not pushing me back. I messed around with the setting and when you set pushback to NONE then it will push me straight back but that is the only time it will work. Im not sure if I should un-install than Re-install gsx or find a way to fix it. PLEASE help.

Ok guys, here are some of mine findings regarding FSX:SE tweaks. -FOREWORD- Now and then comes the time when your SIM gets realy laggy and you can't seem to figure it out what's exactly causing the issue. Is it your drivers, your SIM settings, a particular addon or is just because you overloaded your SIM? -HOUSEKEEPING STEPS- This just happened to me and I decided to start again from 0. For housekeeping stuff I went ahead and uninstalled all my Addons in an order that I thought would make the best sense: 1. External services like: weather (AS16), GSX services, traffic; 2. Hi all, I'm having an odd issue with FSX Steam edition. When I'm at cruise altitude, currently FL340 in the PMDG 737-800 (this happens in all aircraft) and have the view facing forward I get a massive drop in FPS. If I pan the camera to look down at the instruments I get around 30 to 40 FPS, but when I pan back up it drops to around 15 FPS. This also occurs whilst in spot view outside. if I look down just taking the horizon out of view I go back to 30 - 40 FPS but when I pan back up the hit occurs again. I've also tried disabling weather and using clear skies as I first thought it was an issue with clouds but it makes do difference at all. I'm using Activesky201…
