Good Day All! I'm having an issue with a cloud layer in OpusFSI. There is always a cloud layer or a disk of clouds that follow my plane in FSX-SE. Like a Lid, I can see the edge of the clouds just over my plane at altitude. Follows me like a little puppy. Nice, but not realistic. I have Cloud draw set to Max in FSX-SE and Auto Cirrus clouds enabled in OpusFSI. I understand that Cirrus clouds are not injected my Metars, but are injected by OpusFSI if conditions are ripe for Cirrus clouds. I have no issue with Cirrus clouds being drawn when the actual sky is clear, however the unrealistic disk is madding. Any thoughts or suggestions would be most w…

Ok, so I am using FsPassenger and I finally got my pilot enough points and flight hours to purchase a King Air 350. I don't know why, but, I only get around 600nm and it uses 65% of my fuel source (I took off with full fuel tanks). FSX says it is supposed to give me 1,750nm, though I get nowhere close. My throttle is set at 68% for cruising and the prop RPM is at around 1650. I cruise at 30,000ft. I need a second opinion, I have begun to think about going into the CFG file and changing fuel consumption, unless I have something set wrong. Here are all my throttle control percentages at cruise: Throttle: 68% Prop control: 46% Condition Lever: 100%

Today I noticed that my Avionics will not turn on in any plane. What could have happened, and how do I correct this. This is the first time I've ever had this happen. I did do a Windows 10 update yesterday, but I don't think that would have interfered with FSX. I believe I've flown after that too. I was turning off some "services" in my Task Manager, because I was plagued with that insidious blue circle spinning on my desktop. Perhaps I turned off a critical service or process. Please help if you have any ideas. Planes are started and running but no gauge avionics at all. Stan

Hello, I've recently moved from FS9 to FSX and have the sim running pretty good. Everything is gorgeous and working fine - except for Xpause, which is not pausing my sim at when I tell it.....or at all for that matter. I used FSPause regularly when flying in FS9, so naturally I d/l Xpause for FSX. It loads my flightplan, recognizes the waypoint I choose, I turn on both pause and alarm for my action at the designated point and while the alarm sounds at the right time, the sim will not pause.....not matter what I've tried, which includes: re-installing Xpause / trying to pause at different points / making sure "pause on task" button is checked in FSX / FSUIPC…

Hi, I have a few buildings that I want to delete in FSX but I'm not sure where they're stored. The city is called Downtown Birmingham in Birmingham, Alabama. There are some buildings that are not quite in the correct locations and I have downloaded exact models of these buildings from a 3D warehouse store. I thought at first installing these models would simply write over the default buildings but it does not work that way. There was one building in particular that installed just fine but it was swallowed by the default building which was a larger, and of course is not the correct size. I know this because I had to delete several buildings, including the airport term…

Hey mates, maybe it's just me or a wrong setting but I'm having some problems on reading the displays and the AP knobs. That also occurs on the Aerosoft airbus thing but in the Dash it's more important I think. Someone knows what's my problem? Hi Stephen, i tried to setup s vc view and activate dhm options for movements, but when I try to test dhm on select view no movements work. I tried to deselect camera and use general dhm view vc but nothing. with old opus version all ok, I not understand why. thanks simone

Until I changed drivers, uninstalled it, reinstalled it, FSX was running great with Inspector in full windows mode. No jaggies. Now, no matter what I do, and tweaks I make in inspector, I cannot get rid of those jaggies in full screen mode. In windowed mode( win 7) , the jaggies disappear. Clearly, I broke something in the graphics area and can't think of anything else. Google searches have provided few clues, but the result is the same. Does anyone have a magic bullet? I tried running with and without nvidia inspector. As a fairly experienced simmer and pc tinkerer, I think I've tried everything in the book. Things I have not done: 1. dele…

Is there any way I can determine how many multi-engine hours I have logged in MS-FSX? Thank You. I suppose I should have purchased a real log book. I have been flying Flight Simulator, before Microsoft [stole, I mean aquired, it] since 1986 and have never kept logs of hours flown. I have been using FSX since it came out.

I've been quite happily using a combination of Rex Essentials + OD and Active Sky Next for my FSX weather for some time, but, with various new products now on the market from both Rex and HiFi (Active Sky), I have been thinking about a weather upgrade for my system. Having looked at what these various new products offer however (and reviewed the forums), I have to admit that I have come away a little confused as to what I should go for! Should I completely replace my current Rex E+OD /ASN combination with new textures and weather engine and, if so, which or should I just supplement it with some of the newer weather texture addons? Hi Guys I Have had an issue in the last few weeks where as soon as my aircraft moves on the ground my frames drop from a steady 30-35 (PMDG)/30(FSLabs A320X) to around 20 (PMDG)/12-15(FSLabs). The frames stay like this whenever the aircraft moves but once it is stopped/airbourne normal service is resumed and i get 30+FPS. Any help would be grateful. I have all the needed tweaks and have reinsttalled FSX already in the past few days. This was not a present issue in the past only recently. Hello Guys, I know its kinda late, but I recently moved to FSX. Anyways, lately I´ve been having this issue where FSX freezes on the Splash Screen. All over the web I´ve read that deleting the file Logbook.BIN and letting FSX create a new one once its started could be the solution and it actually is. So I delete the file, start FSX again and it fires up. The issue now is, everytime I shut down my computer then I turn it on and want to start FSX the same issue appears and I have to start the procedure all over loosing all my logbook data. I have the REX Airports HD add on installed from Steam. What happens if I download some freeware add-ons and install those? Is there any conflict with the payware scenery/textures & the downloaded one? Is the REX HD affected in any way? Thanks.

Hi Guys, I'm currently flying a 'transport' flight from Geurnsey to Dubai in a Cirrus SR22, I've made it to Santorini and next stop is Cyprus... However I'm then left in a predicament after that, I am trying to keep as realistic as possible.... So here we go... I don't really want to fly through Turkey as it's not really getting me any closer to Dubai... I need to avoid Syria, Iraq and Iran, my only viable options are Lebanon and Israel, Or possibly Egypt (but I think that may be out of range). Hey guys I'm using FSX:SE & have this game installed on my D drive. However, I have noticed that my .cfg file is located on my C drive (obv different to where my game is installed through steam). My question is: does this have any impact on my game, so for example if I make a change to my .cfg folder in the C drive such as affinity mask etc.. will these changes still be effective in my game? Not too sure if having the game installed on one hard drive matters if some folders are in my other hard drive. Thanks J.

Hi everyone, I believed I am not alone in the middle of these 2 simulator so I will post this to share my own experience. I have been using FSX:SE for a year(and Flight Simulator almost 20 years) with lots of investment into the simulator, both hardware and software. For many reasons, I never thought of getting P3D until recently I upgraded my graphic card. I still get low performance, I think I deserve more, especially what I have put into this hobby. So I gave P3D v3 a try. With most of my addons are compatible and refundable in 60 days, why not? I was surprised, the performance and graphic outrage FSX in every aspect. If I fly in 2x accelerated time, I notice that when I switch to spot plane view, the image on the screen starts shuddering. This is not the case when I am flying from within the VC but only happens when I switch to spot view. If however I fly in spot view using 4x accelerated time, there is no problem and the image is perfectly smooth and stable! I know this is not a huge issue as I mostly fly from within the VC but I am curious to know if anyone else has encountered this or if anyone has any ideas why it should happen when just using 2x accelerated time? An old, established airport near my home is not listed in the FSX airport list. It's Queen City Airport (KXLL) in Allentown, Pa. I fly out of KABE as my default airport...sometimes KPHL (Philadelphia) which is close to us. However, Queen City is a rather heavily used little airport that is quite established. Does FSX selectively leave out certain kinds of airports, or did they just miss this one? Stan ps. If any scenery developer has a realistic rendition of KXLL or is working on one, I would appreciate knowing about it. Thanks.
