Hey Everyone, Hoping someone can help me out. I am having issues adding scenery Into FSX:SE . When I install a new scenery, I go into the scenery library, there is no new entry for the scenery. When I attempt to "add area" manually it goes in fine, but when I go back in to the scenery library after letting it do it's thing the new entry I added is now gone. Any idea what could be causing this?? I loaded up a saved flight which I set up at Flightbeam's Denver. When the loading started FSX was stuck at 0% and there was no label, around 30 seconds later loading would quickly get to 100% in about 3 seconds and would stay there on 100% FSX was responding at all times throughout this. When I clicked on the screen, the black screen behind the loading screen vanished and I was left with the white loading screen on my desktop. I have tried moving my logbook.bin file from my docs folder to the desktops and some other forums suggested and tried loading fsx with wi-fi. Nothing made a difference. Thanks Bilal Khaled

hello folks, Got a brand "spanking new" I7-7700K GTX-1070 Nividia Card and installed FSX-Steam Initially, all seemed really nice..! I set framerate at 35 just to get an idea and after adding AI and some sceneries..i was still successful..then returning to FSX-Steam next day I'd climb out of any airport.then switch to 16x simulation rate and the FPS went from 35..to 0.1...and would fluctuate..up to 1.1.(basically just stopped in midair) and never regained a 35... Got any tips? is there a workaround..? Your input appreciated.!

I would really like to buy the Mindstar GNS 530/430 and also will buy it. It looks very good. However, I would like to have a review or something like that of it. I'm not sure if I should post here or in the hardware forum, but I guess it makes no difference. Anyway, my question is in regard to FSX and the Nvidia software called PhysX System Software. My understanding about this software is that it's supposed to help make video games run smoother by taking some of the load off the GPU. Should I use this Nvidia software and will it really help make FSX run smoother or will FSX run smoother without the software? Ken Manning

I was very fortunate to obtain and install the RA Duke B60 V2. this is truly a remarkable aircraft. but after two long flights both times the left landing gear would not come down and lock.. The jury is still out as I have set for FSX & configured the aircraft to be damageable by pilot error. ----in the Duke config file its set to allow for flap damage if deployed too fast. (possibly this affects the gear too????) Since its a new A/C and I haven't flown in a while it could be pilot error but has anyone had this issue??? As the title says, just lately I've been getting unexpected "dings" in FSX:SE due to memory (which is unusual; steam edition has honestly been pretty good to me), while when I look at process explorer, FSX is inching close to 3GB of VAS used, rather than 4GB. Any ideas? The first instance of this happening was flying into T2G Seattle on Pilotedge with the NGX. I was using ORBX PNW, AS16+ASCA (lowest cloud texture resolution possible) and my textures for SEA are downsized to 1024. Autogen I believe was on "normal", water low 2.x. Hi guys I am returning to flight simming after many years out of it. Previously I used FS2004 and FSX with the PMDG stuff. I like to use study level sims and am a RW pilot also. I am doing some commercial training and would like to use a flight sim to help with my IR procedures and checks etc. I stress I will not be using it for any kind of general handling practice as I am well aware of the limitations of sims but for IR procedures and getting familiar with cockpit layouts it can be beneficial and save ££'s in the air. Back in the skies.. FSX STEAM New Alabeo 310R is Great!!! Gotta figure a way to get the GTN 750 integrated into the Realair Duke B60 Also need to increase power on said Duke B60. The cruise is ok but eats up too much Runway before wheels up. (I know what your thinking but I've tried the Turbine Duke And I just can't get the hang of the power/prop/conditioners thing) I've blown up 8 motors and crashed as many times trying to sort out those "throttles"

Hope I'm not annoying anyone with a newbie enquiry...I purchased A2A Spitfire for FSX, what a beauty. Wonderful visual detail and audio sounds. I'm afraid I broke the prop on landing when my gear collapsed (didn't't realize I had to pump it just like the real Mk1a). I have spent a lot of time trying to undo the damage - settings - ignore damage - reset - shutdown - restart.... etc. No joy. Obviously A2A software has a layer of sophistication on top of that of FSX? I just can't find the 'repair' command. Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you Rog Mason

Not sure what could be causing this recent issue just over the past week. The sound will just stop and be off for maybe a second and then comes back on again, I have also noticed like a quick flash in the visuals, this is also a new issue. I have not changed the FSX.CFG nor made any other changes to FSX - it is really weird and also frustrating. I thought maybe my audio drivers but I have checked that and in fact even uninstalled and downloaded the latest drivers but that did not help. With manual in lap from active I gently roll out everything in the green following the printed guidelines. I killed the right engine around 8900' I don't know why except I'm not enough pilot for a turbine duke.. my kingdom for an updated Realair regular piston Duke B60. with working strobe and nav lights! I've got over 700 hrs total in SE, ME, IFR and VFR. (SIM) The few mishaps I've had, I was able to walk away from. This cat has used up his 9 screwing 9 RoyalTurbine Dukes into terra firma nose first.

when I install payware or freeware sceneries to fsx it works and i can see it in the FSX directory but when i load fsx and go to scenery library and check it doesn't appear so when i add it manually it shows up but when i press Ok and it go through the loading it disappears from the list

I have only recently installed the Dash 8Q-400 (yes, I know.....what the heck have I been doing all this time), and I have noticed that the aircraft rolls backwards at idle power with the brakes off. Is there a solution for this?

Hi, when i fly the aerosoft airbus or any PMDG my frame rate is fine on departure and cruise but when i disconnect the autopilot for approach my frame rate drops really low. it never used to be like this but all of a sudden it started doing it. could you help me fix it Thanks Ryan

Hey all, for some reason my PMDG 737 and 777 look so grainy compared to some of the videos i watch on youtube (i dont know how to attach pics). any help on how to correct this will help. Hello - I am having some issues I have never seen before and I have no clue how to resolve. On startup of FSX-SE, I get the following message: Flight Simulator is attempting to start "AutogenConfigurationMerger" (Version 1.0.6206.30341, Config Entry Number 3). Do you want to run this program? What's more puzzling is that I cant install any of my FlyTampa Airports ( I have almost all of them). The install runs normally, and the airports show up in the Scenery Config Editor but when I go to the airport, it is default. Hi All, I've recently come across issues with my sound within FSX. For example, when starting from cold and dark in the PMDG NGX or even the default Cessna, I seem to missing the battery sounds with them only playing if I click on a switch for about a second and then it cuts out again. I'm having the same issue with the FSL A320, where I'm missing the dynamic sounds such as the engine's windmilling etc. Any ideas? I've tried a fresh re-install of FSX and I've just done a re-install of FSX, My OS and my drivers. I'm running 64 bit Windows 10 on a Z170 Pro Gaming. Kind Regards, James Roberts

Chaps, had this add on since release, and only just noticed this... when I press L to turn on all lights, my wing lights come on, illuminating the leading edges. however, I cannot find the switch for it in the cockpit. Hence why I have never noticed it. Ive tried looking at what switches move when L is pressed, and the ones I usually flip, are the only one that move, none of them turn the wing lights on... any idea where the wing wing light switch is?

Hello, I actually wanted to buy the Mindstar GNS530/430. However, I realized I will buy a new, fast computer in a few months. I just wanted the Mindstar because it's very lightweight. But when I buy my new PC, I can also use heavier things. So why should I now buy a lightweight, old GNS 530 without "Bells ans Whistles", when I can have an awesome touchscreen GPS for the same. But there is still some time between now and the purchase of my new computer. And I finally want to get a new GPS to fly IFR.
