Hello everyone, PACSIM has just released their most wanted product, Salt Lake Int. Airport and surrounding. By reading on the website this is a very large product with high recommend system settings. I own most of the above so I have concern about what they say. Really want to try it, but at the price $35 and PMDG 747 coming alive around this week which I will buy on day one, I have to give this a hold. Hello everyone, My intention is to use a microphone with FSX. But not to use Multiplayer !! Just my voice hearable in the speakers that I use. Together with all the other FSX sounds. The ATC panel must work on. What do I all need for that ? Have I to download a support program ? And do I need a USB mic. or a 3.5 jackplugs microphone ? What is the best for it? Also to use a Microphone and not a headset ! I hope somebody will help me with these questions. From Edward.

Grumman sound distorts when the view is changed. You have to hit Q (mute) and Q (unmute) again to restore. I've searched and searched for a fix to no avail. I've been massaging the sound.cfg file for hours. And hours. Is there a definitive post that this can not be fixed? Thanks, N99WB

Hello everyone. Today I bought the QW 757 since I saw a thread on steam that explains how to get it to work in steam edition. It said to first download the FSDT add on menu, which I did. However, upon installation of said menu, my menu resolution got severely messed up to where the menu has such large dimensions the fly now button is under my hot bar and I can't click it. I went into the settings to change the resolution but nothing changes to resolution of fixes the dimension. I have uninstalled the add on menu, restarted my computer, and directly messed with the CFG files. Nothing fixes the issue. Before I go uninstall and reinstall FSX (which I really want to avoi…

Hello, I uninstalled the beta ver since i removed P3D and reinstalled ver 5.10.1. Have been using steam all along. Now all of my camera profiles do not show up in the camera mgmt section. In the installation folder it appears they are all still there. How do I get Opus to recognize them again? Thanks. Steve

Hey guys I need your help does anyone have any experience flying the P-51? I have tried numerous times and every time I do I have the engine literally start blowing up on me not long after takeoff. Here's the scenario: I always chose the realism settings level on "hard" . never have any other problem with any of the other aircraft. I follow the procedures during start up and takeoff according to the checklist. When I change the realism settings to "easy" I do not have the engine blow up on me shortly after takeoff. I recently required First Class Simulation's Discover Europe which includes a Piper Pacer. The package comes with a series of flight plans that were created for IFR and can be easily loaded via the menus. I'm just returning to FSX after a fairly lengthy absence, so I'd rather make the flights using VOR navigation even though they're more intended for "use AP via GPS & sit back & relax." The Pacer does have a Bendix King (at least that's what I recall the name being) radio stack with 2 Comms, 2 NAVs, ADF, AP and DME - so seems full featured The problem I'm having is that the aircraft only has 1 HSI and it doesn't seem to have a CDI; or at least whatever I'm do…

Hi, I'm a neophyte who has been somewhat conscripted to maintain FSX for a museum and I'm in over my head. It is crashing to desktop shortly after beginning. I understand that this is probably something to do with a corrupted graphics file that I have heard mentioned in passing. A document I found here on avsim (pdf) advised me to find and delete fsx.cfg (or move it) and permit it to rebuild itself upon restart. Here's the thing: I can't find a file named fsx.cfg! I have such file names as fsx_display.cfg, etc; but no fsx.cfg I'm all ears for help!

Ezdok has started giving me 2 different views when Trackir is paused and "free" (see screenshots) Happens in FSX & FSX Steam Until recently Ezdok worked OK and as far as I know no settings have changed. Public safety announcement - the Valkyrie doesn't like the wind up her! I finally purchased Pete Dowson's FSUIPC4 the other week, mainly because I finally decided I should fly the big iron with winds aloft and it must be said that so far the wind smoothing function works well. I think I've only had one incidence of overspeed and even then it was brief and didn't cause much of an issue. However, tonight I discovered that the XB-70 cannot deal with any winds aloft once she goes supersonic. She begins to bank one way then after a little while banks the other way, then even further until she rolls over. I was watching the wind readout from the status line (shift-z) …

Is there any freeware software that can generate a route from your current position in an airport to another position of your choice, such as from a runway to gate that you choose? This could be just a list of taxiways, to follow to get to your destination (similar to the FSX ATC, but you choose the gate). I would use charts for the airport, but some airports have changed since FSX was released and I cannot find any freeware software that generates charts for the airports based on their layout in FSX. Hi, I see in many video's moving sunlight in the cockpit...as the acft turns, descends etc. I do not have this in my cockpits, how to I enable this feature? Or do I need an add-on program? Please advise thank you.

I have never seen the Out Of Memory Error pop up on my system until today. I purchased and installed the KOKC Will Rogers airport from FSXScenery. The scenery pictures looked great, so I couldn't wait to try it. When trying to start FSX in KOKC I got the dreaded OOM Error during loading of the scenery. I tried every trick I've seen trying to solve the problem (changed paging file size, reduced scenery options, etc) but the OOM keeps reappearing every time I try to load KOKC. This is the only scenery I have ever had any problems with! I'm running FSXSE on Windows7-64, 16GB RAM . Any suggestions?

I have MSI laptop with Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz, turbo boosted to 3.4 GHz, Nvidia GTX 1070, 16GB RAM .FSX SE Windows 10 I did not weak it and and reduced my overall quality to medium. I have Nicks Invidia inspector settings except I do not usde FPS limiter and have turned off VSync. My frames are set to unlimited. How come on a good spec laptop that can run all games on ultra, FSX it runs very "medium". I have PMDG 737/747v3/ 777 and Aerosoft 321. Aerosoft run excellent. Hi, quite new to simming and def new to posting on forums, so apologies if i have posted this in the wrong place. I recently bought some flight sim hardware from someone on eBay and they included with it the Just Flight Airbus Long Haul DVD. It says on the box that it is for flight simulator X or 2004, however i cant get it to install on my PC. After the splash screen appears and i choose FSX, then the language, it begins the wizard but then just stops and all dialog screens disappear? Then i thought i would upgrade my computer to this. Intel(R)Core(TM)I7-7700 [email protected] 3601 Mhz 4 cores 8 logical processors with turbo boost. Nvidia GeForce GTX1060 6GB GDDR5 RAM.
