I don't know if this has been posted yet, but AvCanada has the best pictures of the Dulles Jet Center hanger where the roof collapses damaging several planes and leaving at least 3 with their nose in the air. The Dulles airport has seen some record snows this past week and the Baltimore area has shattered records dating back to the 1800's with over 79" of snow.

I've been using Ultimate Defrag for years. I wanted to upgrade to the latest version but I couldn't find my account info. I emailed Disktrix. Waited a week. Nothing. Emailed again four days ago. Still nothing. No spam filters blocking their email. Anyone ever email them and get a response? At this point I'm ready to try another product.Brandon

The rise of the regionals and arrival of low-cost carriers have been a huge boon to consumers, and the industry insists that the skies remain safe. But many insiders are worried that now, 30 years after airline deregulation, the aviation system is being stretched beyond its capacity to deliver service that is b…

Youtube is a big part of the Flight Sim community in my opinion, and is a brilliant way to see new products in action, make new flight sim buddies, and become a better pilot. I'd go as far to say as it's like a clubhouse. If you're keen on submitting and watching Flight Sim videos on youtube, you've probably come across Cessna154's videos.I was wondering if anyone in this forum knows of him, and if so, I'd like to know your opinions of him.Personally, no-one on the internet riles me up as much as this guy. I spend 90% of the time I watch his videos yelling at the screen because he's doing the complete wrong thing, but he sees himself as so high and mighty in the youtube co…

I flew a fair amount as a teen pax in the mid and late-1960s in BOEING jets. I recall distinctly both reading and hearing on board the aircraft--primarily the 707-320B, the -420, and the 720B--that these planes typically flew at 550 to 580 mph. I believe the 720B flew at an astounding 600 to 620 mph. These speeds, ranging from Mach 0.83 to Mach 0.93, were standard for their day and are significantly faster than todays 767 and 777 jets and even the venerable 747-400. In FS2004, however, these older BOEING jets are typically listed as having a cruise speed of Mach 0.78-0.82 which I am sure is too slow. Is my memory faulty or are the sims of these older jets off with th…

Hi all,I am looking for relatively recent CAA charts covering Australia and something like the Pooleys Flight guide. Can someone direct me to where I can purchase them. If not, what is the standard thing pilots in Australia use? I am willing to buy them but if there are some out of date ones available cheaper or free, I don't mind that either :-)Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello,Does anyone know what would cause all of my planes to turn to the right. The nose wheel and the rudder turn to the right just sitting on the runway even before I release the brake. Then when I do release the brake of course it just want to go in circles. And like I said this is ALL Aircraft. So obviously it's something in the sim not just in one plane. So where would I look for something that would cause this? Also unrelated, but would anyone know what would have caused All of the aircraft with afterburners, flames to turn green with sparkles?Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thank you so much for your time. …

From looking at recent posts in their forum, I'm beginning to get the impression that Airsimmer may have come to an end. Obviously I may be completely wrong - and I sincerely hope that I am. I'm just wondering if anybody has any accurate info about this. I'd ask there - as have some of their forum regulars - but it's getting a bit heated at the moment.I'm not trying to cause any trouble, I'm just asking a question.

Hi!So my story is I finished high school and did no further education (due to events out of my control). I want more than anything to be a pilot but its a lot of money.A few questions: I could (hypothetically speaking) study for a degree (any degree but I found one on aeronautics), then find a better job with it and use the better wages to study for a pilots license.OR I could save money on the degree and just jump into getting a license which is much more expensive. It seems you have to be rich to get a license! So, you real world pilots, what is your advice? I'd be interested to hear how you got your licenses. Are airliners more likely to hire someone with a degree, or is…

  23. Hello! I don't know if anyone has brought this up before, but I'll take a stab at it.Do GA pilots listen to music in the cockpit during flight? I figure that, with the workloada pilot deals with in general, listening to music while in flight would be a distraction. But, I really don't know. Thanks!Alan
