I've heard of these and have seen them on the internet (Rumble chairs). I've even heard of "attaching" something to your current chair. Are any of these devices being used with satisfaction out there? Anything new?I saw a thread on chairs here on AVSIM, and I thought I'd explore this alternative.Stan

Hey, It seems that back in 1982 a Boeing 747 lost all engines after flying through an ash cloud, which is true. But it seems the pilot stuck his head out of the window to land the play (even thou you can't open the Jumbo's windows)?Skip to 01:40 and listen to the end.Enjoy Jameshttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndwkhz0IZxA...feature=related

  14. I don't know if this is a false positive but AVG just informed me on a system scan that there was a Trojan Horse in the Flight One Software folder - UTXEurope.exe. This file has been on my system for quite some time so I don't know why AVG just noticed this possible corruption. It is possible that a hacker broke through my security and replaced this executable with this TH. It could also be possible that in an AVG profile update, they may have added something that identified a problem previously not covered.NOTE: The virus check also identified a file in the Windows\TEMP folder associated with the UTXEurope.exe file. That extra file under Windows was what prompted me…

I gave myself a terrible fright! I wandered around to different sites to price SSD Drives. Having given up on that idea very quickly I have decided to get a brace of 300gig velociraptors from Western Digital to RAID 0 for my dedicated installation of FSX and Win 7 64bit. My curiosity moves me to inquire as to why only WD manufacture a 10,000rpm drive? Is their r&d dept. superior to other manufacturers as everyone else has failed to move into this area. It just seems a little strange, with the fierce competition in this sector of the market. Also, these drives seem to have, for years, maintained a very healthy price point. Anyone have a clue?Jon

So this is a serious question that really irks me and I am intentionally posting it in the FSX forum as you are the users I want to hear from first hand...Why is it that every time a conversation about FS9 comes up a lot (and I am not saying all or making generalizations here) but a lot of FSX users jump in and bash FS9 like it is some inferior good for nothing sim and everyone associated it with it is poor or good for nothing just like the sim? Do FSX simmers forget that the engine FSX is built around is FS9? Do users forget all the YEARS of enjoyment FS9 brought us? Do simmers realize that had it not been for FS9 there would probably be no FSX? Do FSX users forget t…

Found this post (guy was answering someone asking what they thought of Flight Simulator). Posted October 1st 1984. Ahhh, the simple times...."I have rented the flight simulator II for the atari; It is a magnificently done program, no doubt about it. It has most of the features of the IBM Microsoft version (there are some minor features that are only loaded in if you have 64K, ie, an XL machine). Of course, the screen update is slower...about 3 frames per second, compared with the IBM's 16 frames per second; however, I found the speed perfectly adequate. The controls are responsive and the "dashboard" seems to get updated even faster than the scenery.…

A click of her fingers, or in this case an escaping bile of hot fluid and gas from the depths of her very core, and she brings the modern world to a standstill.

Good day folks, Ever since I earned the privilege to pilot an aircraft a few years ago, I've been toying with the idea of owning my very own aluminum set of wings (as I'm sure most pilots do after they gain their hard earned certification). However, like most people, I've been weighing the pros and cons of making such a significant investment that will undoubtedly result in a drastic change with regards to personal budgetary issues, etc. Lately, however, I've come to the realization (esp since a few friends and family have passed on), that, since we all only go around once in this life, you might as well make it as enjoyable as possible, even if it means indulging in …
