I think most of aviation enthusiasts are stunned with your new Boeing787. The thing is, the last 15 years you have came up with the 777 767-300F, and all the new gen 737's and so on. The thing is what im worrying about, is most airlines have the 757. What is going to replace the 757, with it's current range and exceptional specs. The NG 737's arn't going to cover the range the 757 has. In the UK charter airlines use the 757 for practically everything. From a short 40 minute domestic flights to a 8 hour flights. My conern is what aircraft is going to replace the 757? I don't think airlines would base the 787 for domestic flights, and even short hauls if im honest. The 737N…

Hi Gents,Need your advice. The Super Flight Planner site still wants me to allow some Turkish crap to come through when I go to the site. I just recently acquired SFP and I would like to use the available tutorials but I'm afraid to turn the pop-up loose. Would you young compter gurus have a look at the site again and let me know if you think letting the pop-up do its thing would be dangerous? I really want to support the fellow who has made this program freely available but I have my concerns about inheriting something damaging in the process. Do you think the creator of the site knows something may not be right? Is there anything we could do to help remedy the sit…

I started using LiveATC.net as the back gound ATC chatter for when flying in fsx and I have heard alot of clearances like ..."Southwest 293 report airport in sight"......"293 we have the airport"......"..293 Cleared the visual apporch rwy 13L......" when the app controller give these airliners the clearance for visual approach, do the pilot hand/eye fly the A/C on the approach/landing or do they use the plan on the MFD/PFD?Do they use the MCP/Autopilot?I have some time in training (cessna 150) and hand fly this kind of clearance. Do they?Gary

According to a local newspaper called "The Telegraaf" a KLM Boeing 737 on last Wednessday Feb 10th took off from a taxiway instead of the runway. No incident happed during takeoff.Schiphol is the airport where KLM resides and most of the 737 pilots are Dutch, so...it's strange that a pilot made this error. To make things worse:1. Schiphol has ground rarad coverage. Why was this mistake not detected sooner?2. There are 2 pilots in the cockpit and both didn't realize their mistake? It is believed that due to snow the pilot's didn't see their error sooner, but still...the lights have different colors, the width is smaller compared to the runway tarmac and other visible aides …

In the monthly article "Jumpseat" based on an AA training captain, I see in the March edition that he fliers one of the new flat-panel MFD models (with winglets, of course :) ). The article shows a photo of the MFD and enhanced ND - maybe one day for one of the B76 sims for FSX?Thanks, Bruce.

Not sure if this is the case in your area with Best Buy stores... but it appears that they are no longer selling any flight sim programs (except for maybe online). Up until recently they had copies of FSX Gold, X Plane and even PMDG's 747 as well as several Abacus titles. I didn't see any of them at my local store, and when I got home I checked online at several locations, in several cities and nobody has them! Not sure what this means, but it can't be good that the entire genre is no longer on the shelves.

A great deal of time I see people who deride and attack a developer over issues that are not necessarily 'global' in nature. As example, the addon doesn't support their favorite personal and custom swizzle stick. They believe 'the customer is always right' and will use that belief to attempt to beat the developer into submission. They will cry loud and hard in public places and will toss out no end of claims regarding the developer.Well, here's food for thought: http://positivesharing.com/2006/07/why-the...stomer-service/

Any experience with this latest USB version? I'd like to use my DC H10-13.4 headset with VoxATC and I like the idea of not having to replace 9V batteries all the time. I have a sound card as my primary sound source. Does this version mean I have to go back to the on-board sound chip because of the USB connector?krswen

Sometimes i see, jet turbines slowly turing. How does this happen? Is the engine at really low RPM? or is it the wind? Lots of pilots call it windmilling.

People,I'm planning to buy the BBC's stunning documentary Planet Earth, but I have a problem. There seem to be at least two versions around, one from 2007 and one from 2009. The more recent one is also much more expensive, but it seems to contain one DVD disc more. Can anybody enlighten me as to what the difference between these two versions is?

Hi, I'm unsure as to what routes remain with the jumbo operated by Qantas. I'm aware of they've sent some away, to the deserts to roast. Is there some where i can see what routes they still use with the 747's? Or can someone tell me?All the bestJames Andrews

I was doing a nice charter flight from Orlando S KSFB to Manchester EGCC. I was really looking forward to my 9 and a half hour flight back to the UK in my lovely Thomson Airways Boeing 767-304ER. It was a nice quiet night and i was at FL370 going through Boston when i got interupted by a phone call. So i just let the auto pilot do the work as it flew through incontrolled airspace. When i returned to the flight deck half an hour later my chuffin VATSIM account had been suspended by an arsy Govenor. Now i can't get on to my account for an other WEEK! and its my week off! I was hoping to get some hours up on VATSIM now i can't because im banned for leaving the flight deck fo…
