Hi I wanna ask you guys if someone knows any good let's call this default planes. What I mean is planes without FMC, Im looking for airliners the most Boeings all kind. Im not sure anything like this ever exists :( But Something whats using default GPS to fly (GPS/NAV switch mode) , autopilot using default GPS). Would be nice to have some weather radar :) GPWS, TCAS, you know some of the nice stuff from the "more real planes", but no FMC. Free, not free whatever. I found Overland Boeings and I like it, no FMC, more default planes, b777, b767 nic addition.... but there is no "the nice stuff" :)) so anyone can help me ?? or Im asking too much ?? Upgraded from AVG 8.5 to 9.0 today. It now takes 30 seconds to open a new website with AVG 9.0. Is this normal? I'm tempted to ditch it.Yes, I'm on so called High Speed service. After opening a site, speed of changing pages is normal within that site.Also noticed that there now is no Hourglass symbol beside the cursor arrow after clicking on a site desktop icon.Alex Reid-10 minutes later: just had a system freeze changing websites & had to reboot.

On April 11th, I purchased two products form Pilotshop.com, that were published by Aerosoft. Neither of these products, the De Havilland DHC-2 Beaver X download and the De Havilland DHC-6 Twin Otter, had any download restrictions or compatibility issues posted. The DHC-2 would not install in FlightSim X, coming up with the error message: "Feature Transfer Error Feature: defaultfeatureFile: <USERFLIGHT>Error: The file name, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect." (the aircraft was most likely not tested on a 64 bit system?) I installed the Twin Otter and discovered that there is no way to change between an interior view and an exterior spot plane …

We were in Houston TX, USA a few days ago. We stayed at a hotel just off the end of 15L. There must have been a 100 planes take off in 2 hours. It was amazing. Anyways I was on Google looking for the hotel. When I found it I looked closer and at the corner of Greens Rd. and John f. Kennedy Blvd which is between our hotel and the end of 15L there is a jet taking off a few hundred feet up. It is just starting a left turn out. Neat the Google caught this.JimCYWG

Recently I've been flying FSX heavily. Since then, my wallet has been burning a hole in my pocket for the A2A B-17 with Accusim. :( I'm willing to give up lunch after class for it--just don't tell my girlfriend... I mean these guys make the most enthralling WWII/big props/fighters around!Before I drop $60+ on that purchase, I'd like to have some "period" airfields in Europe. Does anyone know if the Combat Flight Sims provide the same eight 2D views as in Flight Sim itself?That is Views Fwd, LFwd, RFwd, etc.If so, I'm tempted to try CFS with triple monitors. I've found aerobatics & fighter type manoeuvres quite gut churning with the Extra 300! An Immelmann (1/2 loop and roll out at the top) is quite something with a triple wide 45" horizon!Alex Reid

Current stats on this question for the 6 month period- Oct/09 thru March/10 show 80 new responses for FS9 & 70 for FSX.Since you can vote only once, these are new votes- presumably weighted toward newcomers to our hobby.The absolute numbers are small and probably not statistically significant- other than to show that neither sim is dominant; with FS9 appearing to be comfortably holding its own.Alex Reid

I have been a flight sim fan for a really long time and ever since 3rd parties have been making addons to the major Flight Sim franchises, I have been on a quest to find the most complex and real to life addons that are available... At one point, Falcon 4 was a favorite of mine as it was a great studysim of the early vipers, but I could never really get into the military planes in the non military flight sims. Maybe this is because the flight sims didn't have the capability to simulate the weapon systems on these military addons. After all, almost every tactical aircraft was designed around the ability to deliver a payload to defeat the opponent, so it seemed like thin…

Are there any maps what show where VOR's are in the country. Basically i just want some country maps, which have VOR's plotted in the country. It would be nice, to find out, atually what city and region i'm flying through. If any one knows where i can buy country maps with this data on, or for download, i would be greatful if you could help :).

I've been having trouble with the MRAI Installer. When I go to pick an aircraft it crashes. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it and the same thing. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I have FSX and windows vista.

Hi GuysI recently signed up on another (non FS) forum, and have been a little concerned about how they use my details...The forum has a thread containing a list of EVERYONE'S full name and address and email. I've never seen this done before, and wonder just how high a risk this poses? The forum is almost identical to this one - simply requiring a password to enter.What do you guys think please?Thanks
