I was messing around a few weeks ago with my Feelthere Airbus series adjusting the VC view for the right hight, updating the sounds, and tweaking the FDE a little for better speed brake drag. When I got to the A330 I noticed that the nose was not slightly lowered while sitting on the ground like what I've seen in the real world at KMSP. The real bird sits with a slight nose down attitude on the ground. Anyway I made the contact point adjustment to the Feelthere FS model (during beta testing I didn't get that much time with these birds like I got with other releases). Once back in the VC the difference was interesting with the slightly lowered nose so I went to Airline…

Q: Why did I ever buy something from PC AVIATOR?A: Because I was unaware their "Deal of the Day" program was broken and would accidentally barrage my email with batches of identical "Deal of the Day" emails each day.One a day is fine. Six identical announcements every day all at once is annoying.Especially when it happens again later in the day.Every day.

It's reported that, having failed to reach any aghreement with them, Aer Lingus intends to fire about 25% of its cabin crew. This is a consequence of Air Lingus's operating losses having quadrupled in 2009.http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8558822.stm

I guess Boeing has made it official that they will offer a 767-derivative using some 787 avionics and PW 40000-series engines. Not sure this is any surprise.http://www.unitedstatestanker.comThough I might say there is too much reflective shine on the exterior model. Like the VC though.scott s..

Heya guys,Disappointed with FS2004 crashing and being generally unstable, I decided to look at some of the other flight simulators I have. I bought Wings of Prey some time ago because it looked promising. While initially I had to revamp most of the controls which was a rather lousy job, I got it all set up with TrackIR. Even after rimming down the visual settings, this is a beautiful sim. It really looks sooo good! Makes me wonder why FSX can't look like that :(I quickly encountered a problem though: I'm really bad at these combat flight sims, and I end up flying around trying to find the enemy. I usually get bored at this stage... And so, in the end, I really want FS2004…

I've been intrigued with the recent spate of reports concerning an Air Traffic Controller's children directing traffic at JFK, but the latest concerning a fake ATP pilot just made it more interesting. Here's the scoop:http://mi.o2.ie/news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8549954.stmMan, the aviation industry is certainly hit hard from all fronts nowadays is all I say. :(

Hello folks,NEED some help Please.......I had FSX on a dedicated Raptor and it flat out crashed, of course losing all FSX.I reformatted and started to reinstall FSX Deluxe then Acceleration. The cd started fine but the install box said "Repair" / Remove -Well, I clicked remove and got an error 0x80040702 - Failed to load DLL: GameuxInstallHelper.I did some research and used the MS Installer Clean up program to no avail.Since I was not able to do a normal uninstall through control panel, I have thousands of entries in my registrywhich would take days to delete.I've also cleaned out my temp files etc to no avail for install. What do I need to do to get up and running again.…

Just from flying in the simulator, and from common sense, I've noticed that aircraft from different countries have a unique Tail Number/Registration.For example, aircraft that are based in the United States fly with a few different formats, but they are mostly the same:The letter "N" followed by 5 numbers, or 4 numbers and 1 letter, or 3 numbers and 2 letters.e.g.; "N18572;" "N3689Y," or "N275UA"In many casses, commercial aircraft use the last 2 letters as an identifier of the airline. UA=United, AA=American, etc. (Continental uses 5 numbers and no last letter, this can happen too.)As I said: aircraft from other countries have their own unique "formatting" the same way we…

Ok, so I know that we originally had a single FS9 and FSX forum that was subsequently broken out into the separate FS9/FSX forums we have today. I happen to love the separate forums and would not want to see that change at all... :( With that being said, there are also a lot of add-ons that are still being released for both sims... AES, ASE, EGCC, EHAM all within the past couple of weeks to name a few. I think it might be cool to have an additional forum for some add-ons or topics that cover both sims. This way, putz's :( like me don't have to create the same exact topic in both forums because it is applicable to both sims. I also think it would be nice for there t…

I apologize in advance for 2 things: 1) This is probably not the right spot in the forum for this topic/question but nothing really fits the bill in terms of where to place it2) This topic may be covered already in detail somewhere else in the forum but I couldn't find anything using the forum's search field. If so please just point me to it with my thanks.I am in healthcare and only have a cursory knowledge of computers in general. I would prefer to just have computers and the software work. I love flight sims but from a practical standpoint as a hobby it had certain problems that I personally found difficult to overcome. As flight simulation evolved over time it bec…

A man from Australia, and also a former airline pilot built a model Airbus A380-800 in the Qantas livery from LEGOs. He built it in his garage and the model is 7ft wide and 6ft long. The model is a cutaway so you can see inside the airplane and see the life of the passengers, and you may even see a movie scene from a movie that takes place on a plane (Hint: Look at the bottom near the cargo bay in the pictures and look at the snakes). Looks like this will spark some interest in airplanes for youngsters :(LINK: http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology...on/4346192.html------------------------------------------------EDIT: Link was wrong sorry, here is the correct one:http…
