  3. i have tried many online searches but have gone nowhere so i thought this may be a help. Back in the early late 80's and early 90's there was a flight school located in Ennis Texas called Texas American Flight Academy. i went there for a year and earned my instrument ticket, my COMM SEL and MEL, and my CFI. unfortunately one day the owners of the school just picked up and left and everyone just moved back home. a lot of us exchanged phone numbers and addresses but over time i have lost those. there a re a few names i recall, Bianca Entermann from California, Keith Keegan from Ohio i think, Robert Johnson from CT. Anyway if you know anyone who attended there, i set u…

Maybe I'm missing something... but it seems that people manage to get airline timetables, with equipment codes, somehow and make AI traffic flight plans, so I figure the information must be open source somewhere. How would one go about finding a comprehensive list of all the routes on which a particular airline flies a particular type of aircraft? For example, how would I find out all of the cities serviced by American Airlines' 737-800s?I know there's FlightAware, but it seems like they only give information about individual flights, and unless I'm missing something there, you can only sort by airline OR equipment code, and then only for flights that are currently flying o…

Nearly two weeks after she vanished, an anonymous male phoned the Emory University counseling center claiming he had Shannon.Interesting how they tracked it to him.

Hi all, and happy New Year!I've previously been using FS9 on my main rig, and running my other apps - FSC, Radar Contact etc on secondary PC via Widefs. I don't really use the second PC for anything else other than these apps, so its been offline for a fair bit - I've subsequently been enjoying the monitor from that PC on the main PC, in dual screen configuration. What I am hoping to do is run a remote desktop session from the secondary PC so as I can still access all my apps on it, but I have noticed that if I do this, when mousing over to the RDP session, FS9 minimises. Thus my question - is there any way I can prevent FS9 minimising when I mouse over to the other active…

I just checked the UA flight (898) of my wife's cousins from Narita to Dulles (IAD) and its groundspeed is 615 knots or Mach 1.066. I know it's not the IAS but it's kinda fun to think that they are travelling over the surface of the earth at a speed greater than that of sound.Too bad about Concorde. I am totally fed up flying at Mach 0.80-0.85 for the past 40 years. I wish we had hypersonic by now: we should all be flying at Mach 5 to Mach 8.JS

Hey, I am looking for a free, leight weight music player that does the following:- A-B looping- I need to be able to "mark" certain points in a title, say 0:38, 4:40, 11:38... something like that. Hello everyone!I'v been looking for a good blog about flightsimming for a while now but all I found was a few that weren't updated anymore and one good that mostly focused on FSX (and I use FS). So after a bit of thinking I decided to put together one of my own. I will try and keep it updated with new information around flightsim related things that I find interesting. I also have a small ambition that it would be a good place to find addons, freeware as well as payware.http://flightsimulatorfan.blogspot.com/take-careAnders

  15. (This was posted by myself at the Aerosoft forum for the discussion of the new Aerosoft simulator currently under consideration)I have discovered something I was totally unaware of- I would like to point out a tactical war simulator that I only learned about nearly 2 weeks ago. As I am sometimes interested in military simulation in addition to flying my full scale Lear Jet 45 sim, I downloaded the demo for ARMA 2 after seeing some of the below videos online. I can no longer accept the long time excuse that a flight simulator has too many calculations to make to keep the flight aspect smooth while having incredible detail on the ground. PLEASE, just look at the videos and …

  16. I was going to buy a couple more licenses to give to my daughters for this nice little utility I have used a while to store personal data in because it has password protection, etc. I decided to check out if there was any word on how crackable the program is (azzcardfile is its name). So I made the fatal mistake of visiting two sites that commented on cracks for this program. One quick look at the website's home page, and a truly ruthless malware entered and ruined my XP system drive. Cannot run antivirus (says its .exe is infected), can't even open task manager to terminate anything. As a last ditch, I booted to Vista 64 and ran malwarebyte as well as AVG on the XP …

I got sorta hooked on this 4 years ago but I gave up due to bugs. The bugs required constant attention to their website to make your airline successful and it just required too much time. I was going through my favorites and I noticed it was still going. Does anyone play it?http://www.airlineempires.net/boards/

Despite spending hundreds of dollars on their product, they cannot be be bothered to answer multiple email request for tech support, posts in their supposed "customer support" forums or any other attempt at contact. I recently brought the complete state of washington, to sit alongside every other product of theirs, apart from colorado, Utah and Michigan. several of the download links lead to corrupted files and despite following all of the above described avenues of support, i have had not any kind of response.I dont mind spending good money for a product, but it h…

My one year old ACER Q6600 FS 'puter decided to drink the Kool-Aid, and has developed some internal illness deep within the operating system. FS9 and FSX will both will crash whenever any a/c using complex gauges (most likely GDI/GDI+) are loaded...So, today I bit the bullet and made a trip to Best Buy and picked up a very nice box for ~$1200...I just about fell out of my chair when I saw 102 fps in FSX will all sliders to the right!!! It takes less than 15 seconds to launch FSX and be ready to fly... Wow!FS9 is a real screamer, even loaded down with tons of a/i and custom scenery...Since we no longer have to chase after any new FS releases, this will probably be the las…

Is it only me, or am I the only one being majorly annoyed by the Flight1's system of reactivating orders every now and then - actually much more than every now and then? Alsmost every time I want to reinstall an addon, I have this prompt "your order has reached maximum validation limit blah blah". I mean, I know there is piracy and all, but c'mon... I bought these products and it's really annoying, when some aircraft doesn't work after and update, then I have to reinstall it from scratch, and then bam... takes you 10min to do everything, since I also have two registered email adresses (I would have to go through the process of changing ALL my addons to the new address??),…
