Yikes. No excuse for not excelling in COD then. Not sure how that impacts flight sim or other applications.

https://www.livescience.com/technology/electric-vehicles/ev-battery-that-recharges-in-just-18-seconds-green-lit-for-mass-production Certification for mass production. Beats filling up an ICE and beats Porsche Cayenne EV charge record at 14 minutes to full charge. I’m sure my post will get removed since I mentioned the yet to be defined horrific abbreviation “EV” which surely is somehow political or “word not allowed”. I’ve asked for my AVSIM account to be removed, but sadly moderates are only willing to delete my posts under the pretense of whatever they deem “political” but not my account … gotta keep the membership count high for those advertisers. …

I was just watching videos of the various military vehicles being staged for Saturday's parade, drooling over the Abrams tanks, and my first thought was, "I wish I could be in that." I was a tank crewman on the M60-A1 in Germany in the early 70's and just realized how much I can sometimes miss it. Those tanks were hard enough to climb on when I was young and fit, but at 75 there's just no way. Yeah, it would be nice to stand and watch the parade go by, but nothing like riding in the loader's hatch of one of the tanks. I can't express how much fun they were. Hook

I have owned numerous versions of MSFS over the years. A fun hobby to be entertained by. I own MSFS 2024 and it is a disappointment. 6 months later and it is still a hot mess. Fixes and improvements move at the speed of mud. Growing frustrated I am thinking of getting X-Plane 12. I will hang out there until MSFS 2024 gets sorted. How many of you have both simulators? Has anyone gone from X-Plane to MSFS? How many have gone from MSFS to X-Plane? I know the graphics of X-Plane are much weaker than MSFS but the flight physics of X-Plane are so good that it is study level and it can be FAA certified if required.

... this is by far my favorite news item during the year so far. What's poor Emanuel to do without looking like a bully or a cad? He generously extends his elbow and ... no that doesn't work. It's just so LOL! The Vietnamese security host lady nervously adjusts her hair and attempts not to notice as she hurries down in front, clearing the path. A certain other President, who is at times accused of trolling, had a comment later, but I won't go there.

Aaaany time now. This picture is from a couple of days ago. She's even bigger now. Definitely medium cantaloupe. She's about that heavy, too. At least she likes to be picked up and held. Wife said a couple of weeks ago that she looks like she's tired of being pregnant. I thought it might be best not to ask her how she knows. Hook

Pretty cool! Though much like the Jupiter 2, the Enterprise, the Seaview, and other ships/vessels of the general era, the dimensions don't quite work......

In the 12th, and 13th century, fantasy was mostly King Arthur. There are now more than 200 copies of Geoffrey of Mounmoth's book of about 1140 A.D. which introduced most of what is now in every fantasy story about Arthur. Like for instance Merlin and the company of valiant knights. Only the Bible has more surviving copies from books that old. As time marched on, very little fantasy was written. Only the odd book here and there. In modern bookstores, there were no reserved "Fantasy" sections until 1954 when Tolkien's Lord of the Rings was produced. It was a phenomenal success! A new popular genre was suddenly born. Fantasy books were now no longer odd or unusual…

Noticed how you are forced to watch them now. You have to click a video and then it minimize but stays there, then you have to click the X to get rid off it. On my TV its worse, same adds over and over again. If you skip them they are back again. Drives me nuts

People have been trying to use a Costco membership card to board commercial flights in America. (Costco is department store chain). A so called Real ID, or other acceptable high grade document, is required. Maybe internet or Youtube videos mislead people. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/tsa-tells-americans-costco-cards-wont-fly-airport-security-despite-love-hotdogs

Another SSR code to remember when flying in EASA-land. 🙃 Also note: it replaces the 7 minute rule if you lose COMs while under radar service aswell, increasing it to 20 mins, regardless radar services or not. "New air traffic procedures for lost communications and emergency descent took effect across EU airspace on May 1 under updates to the Standardised European Rules of the Air (SERA). These revisions, which apply in all EU member states regardless of national AIP publication status, include a second transponder code for IFR operations. “The most notable difference is the introduction of a new SSR code 7601.” The revised rules require IFR aircraft t…

Hello everyone , I just wanted a Good, detailed comparison between the fenix a320 and the fslabs a320 x in the current lieu with respect to systems , the way the aircraft flies etc. I currently own the Fenix a320 and is Treat to fly and is extremely detailed but I have always heard that the fslabs gets an upper hand when it comes to systems depth, so I have been inching my way to purschase the fslabs a320 for p3d but I would like one good explanation on why I should I stick onto fenix a320 or switch with the current situation ie with block 2 out and fslabs also starting a switch onto msfs. also I am scheduled to proceed for my type rating in a month or two and was j…
