I have my OS and P3Dv4 located on a 1TB SSD. P3D has been expanding and I now have only 177GB free space left. Is that enough? I do have a 2TB HDD with lots of room. Is there a way to move P3D from my C drive to my D drive without having to reinstall everything? Would migrating the scenery to the D drive be a better option? Does having scenery on one drive and P3D on another drive affect performance? Noel

Take my survey Hey all, I'm interested in knowing how hardcore we all get when we sim. I devised a survey to figure out how many real-world procedures we try to simulate when we fly. Help me out by answering the questions -- it should take about five minutes. I'm curious to see how deep down the rabbit hole we as a community go! Note that you will need to log in to fill the form, but IT WILL NOT RECORD YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS. It's just there to make sure no one answers twice.

An airport worker was killed this morning (Feb 7) and another was injured after a plane crushed a tow truck while it was being pulled to the gate. The Boeing 737 was being moved into position to collect passengers at the Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok, Thailand, at around 8am local time when the accident happened. A connecting bar between the Nok Airplane and the tow truck snapped. The aircraft then continued rolling forward with the momentum before crushing the white vehicle under its body next to the wing. Engineer and groundworker Thanisorn Oncha-am was rushed to hospital but it was later confirmed that he had died from ''severe injuries sustained in the c…

It's amazing what you learn about aeroplanes, and sometimes it is surprising how much you know, or can surmise with a bit of thought... I was on the headset pushing out a Loganair Embraer 145 this evening. It was going off Stand 17 at Manchester, which if you know Manchester airport, is one of the stands in that weird little cul-de-sac near the old control tower. That bit of the ramp can get really busy at times, what with aircraft tails facing each other from three different directions and it being used by EasyJet, British Airways, Ryanair, FlyBe, Aurigny, Aer Lingus, Norwegian and Loganair, as well as having three baggage hall entrances for vehicles. When you drive…

I'm trying to simulate realistic-ish flights hauling light cargo/mail etc in Alaska. I'm thinking of using the C207, C208B SC, C404, etc I'll be based out of PANC and maybe PABE and others Would daily cargo runs be out and back to villages or round robins? Now, that I think about it I guess it would depend on the airport/town size, the larger the size the bigger chance for out and back, yes? I get paralysis by analysis deciding where I want to fly every day and then I don't fly at all. I need something that I can do everyday.

I could write a list about the technology I don't like in my new car. I could also write a list about the new technology I like about my new car. I love the rear view warning. When I am hemmed in at the WalMart parking lot and inch out to leave hoping nobody is speeding down the lane I appreciate the rear end warning that beeps before the car coming down the lane gets in view. I like that. On the other hand just trying to shut the heater fan off is a real chore. I have to press the right arrow on one of the steering wheel buttons and look at the dash to see when the heater/air conditioner icon appears. Then I have to press the center …

Hi All Wondering if you can help - i have recently reinstalled ifly 737 and at cruise in strong headwinds the speed still feels WAY to low. I am guessing i must be doing something wrong - any suggestions? Screenshot link of issue below..... Interestingly if i disable fmc it will let me fly up to normal mac 0.78 which equates to 447 knots?? Clearly the airspeed is what is causing the issue https://postimg.cc/7Cz3sKP6 Cheers Matt

You are wondering how it will be when the real world traffic is injected in real time into your simulation - you can have it right now. I’ve been using amazing piece of software, PSXseeconTraffic with RealTraffic for last 2+ years with great success. It is constantly updated and constantly made better. There is a lot of effort put into high-quality representation. Design for moderate involvement, it requires attention and some set up, but once you have it running it is untouchable. I am using it with another amazing injector LAAP, it is injecting liveATC into real frequencies in my Sim, and i…

Is it only me noticing that ? Bird chirping in the Airliner cockpit in ENVSOUND might be one example, but I don't buy such stuff. Another example: Airport scenery Santiago de Compostela (LEST) by Pilots Software. I'm in my trusty FSLabs cockpit parked in front of the terminal and notice strange sounds. What the heck is this ? Now I read it in the feature list. Ambient sounds, departure hall sounds. I kid you not. Ouch 😫. So all windows closed, even after pushback with engines started. I still hear departure hall sounds. I mean, hm, how loud must it be in the departure hall, if I hear that in an Airliner cockpit ? Hopefully such tendencies to include something in…

Just wanted to let people know. I had a problem locating CLS A330 and A340 downloads from a few years back. Sent and email to CLS not expecting to hear anything but I was so wrong. They came back to me pretty quickly and helped me through the process and at the end of the day they gave me back all the details I needed and more (they let me have a A330F file). I can't thank these guys enough and think that their Customer Services is second to none. Really well done and many thanks.😄

Saw on news as I woke early news of this crash, just news for now, not much further detail although I hate sudden, unexplained catastrophic failures of jets, and the thought of loss of life and the causes behind it all, time for quiet reflections on the souls aboard... https://www.cnn.com/2019/03/10/africa/ethiopia-airline-crash-nairobi-intl/index.html

I was flying into Talkeetna (PATK). It has a left traffic pattern for runway. 01 (36 in P3d v4.5). I was coming from PANC so the runway was to my 45 on the right side. So the radio call would’ve been along the lines of “Talkeetna traffic, beaver one one one seven foxtrot In at the forty-five to join final for runway zero one.” in the real world would that have been ok? Or should I have overflown the airport and joined left downwind traffic? Do I always have to do the recommended traffic pattern no matter what at an uncontrolled airport?
