I'm currently building a flight sim based on the F35B for my son and his ATC squadron The problem I'm having I have just downloaded the AOA F35B which is awesome but I want to put the PFD onto a separate monitor but within xplane panels normally pop out and you can move them to a separate monitor so you can therefore fly in HUD mode and have the gauges on a separate screen. This is what I can't figure out as the AOA model won't seem to lets us do this. Air manager and sim build don't offer the panels I want so I'm struggling to find a solution. could anyone point me in the right direction to try to solve this please.

  2. I don't know how many people are using the Aeroplane Heaven C-119 boxcar add-on, but it seems hard to find any information on it. I just bought it recently and it is a real nice add-on. Whoever made it has gone to a lot of trouble to recreate an authentic look and feel to the aircraft, and the cockpit controls and systems are definitely above average. Anyway,. my question is, does anyone know if there is a VOR in this aircraft. One is mentioned in the manual, but the only functionality I can get out the said gauge is as an ADF indicator... Cheers Jason

So many sims to keep up to date, test and checkout. I'm seeing a clear picture of where my simming is going. First props to AFSF2 for way before the big guys being able to deliver beautiful VR, in crazy high frames with amazing lighting. Its still my go to sim to show other pilots what VR simming is all about. Just ashame there arent more Orbx airports in this sim. I've moved to Xplane11 for my main sim and while i'm testing 11.50b3 out, I'm still enjoying 11.41 for now. I dont see XP11 being replaced easily for its ease of use and feature rich setup for addons like PilotEdge, FSEconomy, Garmin Pilot App among others. To me, Xplane11 makes my sim the closest of all o…

After getting all repaints in and compiling the flightplans with AIFP, I place the BGL file in FSX's scenery folder. I boot up FSX, it gives me the prompt that it's creating new scenery databases, but in the end, the AIs do not show up. I tried with AIG's Su19 AAL flightplans, can't seem to get planes to show up in the sim. edit: i do have WoAI files installed

I believe in the UK we are still allowed into our gardens or yards as an extension of our homes, but no passing brews over the fence to the neighbours and common sense physical distancing rules apply: Behold - a little rockery - not for plants but for radio controlled vehicles. Here's my old Axial AX10 Scorpion and new FTX Ravine on the rocks, with the FTX Outback (green Land Rover) looking on. Please watch this disturbing low-light video study of how micro-droplets remain suspended in the air for up to several HOURS after a cough, sneeze or just talking! This is why everyone should wear at least a simple mask while this Covid-19 pandemic is around. The point is to protect others, not necessarily one's self... although it will provide some protection.

You can relive Apollo 13 in real time thanks to this very interesting and sophisticated app. https://apolloinrealtime.org/13/ by either starting at 1 minute prior to launch or doing it in real time; 50 years ago. I was at home watching the crew of Apollo 13 splashdown; and I'm still at home remembering it 50 years later. And if I'm fortunate to live long enough to witness our getting back to the Moon I'm hoping that I'll be home too!

The 737 Max problems have been submerged by current events, but while idly scanning around, I ended up on the Boeing website. Mostly stuff that many will be aware of, but it looks like they are keeping it updated as a series of progress reports. Hello again and on rather unfortunate circumstances, as you may know, the coronavirus has ravaged the entire world, and upended normal life not only here in Texas or America but everywhere. Any sense of normalcy is completely gone, and I myself am in one of the hundreds of cities under mandatory stay at home orders, but after having gone to check on family and friends, I thought I’d share some personal advice on how to stay safe, at least long enough for the stay at home order to be lessened and you can go back outside. 1. You probably heard about social distancing guidelines suggesting staying at least 6 feet from a person, but i suggest you should if possible stay…

How are they making this look MORE REAL than real life???? And don't even get me started on the SuperCarier and Hind pics. Good Lord they are stunning!! And if you hit the little "More Screenshots"...you better not be a P47D fan or you probably will go into a euphoria-induced coma. One day I will actually learn to fly the 4 planes in my DCS stable....sigh.…

Sometime ago I asked what was the difference between these 2 addons - and why Carenado specifies F1 for P3D and Reality for XP11 - I didn't really get an answer as to why - but I gleaned that there was little or no difference - and Reality was probably "the Better" of the 2. I now feel the time has come to introduce a little pizzazz into my flying - (the P3D flight Planning is useless) and since I only want the 750 - and Flight 1 insists on selling a package -750 with 650 - and I can only afford one Yesterday I bought the 750 from Realty web site for P3D V4 What surprised me - was that The purchase and payment and downlo…

  23. Watched the iRacing virtual Indycar auto race at Watkins Glen last night. 25 actual Indycar drivers racing each other in a real time virtual race using iRacing's driving simulator from their homes with virtual racing controls much like what we use in flight simulation. 25 on the track at the same time and the event was more than watchable. NASCAR is doing the same with a virtual race last weekend at Homestead Florida and another today somewhere. The broadcasts can be replayed on Youtube. This technology holds great promise for flight simulation. WOW! Homestead: Watkins Glen Indycar:

Anyone contributing computer time to the Simmers Without Borders initiative? I just started. My flightsim computer is usually shut down during my workday, or idle if it's on. So this seems like a pretty painless thing to do. There's not a lot I can do to fight the pandemic beyond staying home. Made sense to me to add one more task. Anybody else?

Hello In these testing times of quarantine, I figured I would try the new Vatsim codec. I also want to try if I could connect my Bose aviation headset into my computer. It has the standard 2 GA plugs. Sadly my computer is not Bluetooth capable, but has any of you bought some kind of adapter which successfully connected the computer with the headset? (That didn't cost an arm and a leg)
