A pay cut of 30 per cent for 900 jet pilots has been agreed between their union and Air New Zealand, while 300 pilots will be made redundant. The New Zealand Airline Pilots Association (NZALPA) came to an agreement with the airline on Thursday after weeks of negotiating the cuts required to address the airline industry's "uncertain path to recovery". The airline's domestic and international schedules were slashed as demand collapsed, as the Covid-19 pandemic brought the industry to its knees. https://www.stuff.co.nz/business/121446383/air-nz-pilots-to-take-30-per-cent-pay-cut-300-lose-jobs

We all knew that it was coming, but I am still gutted that the Cosford 2020 Flightsim Show has been officially cancelled Attending the show at Cosford is one of the highlights of my year, and last year was the best yet because I was able to be part of the FSReborn exhibitor team. I really hope that I can do that again one day....

In the aftermath of Jim Young's passing, we've made the following staffing changes on the forums staff: Sean Campbell (cmpbellsjc), a long-time moderator and member of the AVSIM Board of Directors, is the Deputy Forums Administrator. Ray Proudfoot and Pete Zaehringer (Peter Z KCLE_EDDN) have joined the AVSIM moderating team. Both Ray and Pete have been with AVSIM since its beginnings, and we welcome them in their new roles keeping AVSIM's forums a premier resource in the flight sim community. Regards

Hi to all folks, does anyone know logbook that can generate public dynamic html page with my flown hours report? There are many logbook (mccpilot, logten pro, zululog etc) but no one of them can generate an html page that summarize my total flight hours, or better it can, but I only can access the report. You could print report on pdf format and put online, but you have to update manually everytime before uploading. I'm lookin for something that do this automatically. Anyone has any ideas or workaround?

My name is Martin and I'm new in the forum, what brought me here was the upcoming MFS. I always been afraid to fly and I never liked planes, I do like motorbikes though, I created my first motorbike from scratch in 2004. I've met an entity once who shown me a lot of information regarding the past and flying. I began to experiment in flight simulation in 2019 for aircraft design and development, I have an expertise in 3D procedural dynamic simulations, I'm also a visual artist, as well as a digital musician, I create sinthethizers from scratch and noise generators, I also design wrist watches and I'm also a chef, my favorite food is angus meat, cooked on gr…

Hello I'm in a need of little help from somebody with access to Piper PA23 250 Aztec. I've recently acquired an old FNPT2 simulator, build upon this particular model. However, after a few tens of hours working on the refurb, I realized that the seating position feels way off from natural. Yokes and the panel are really high up as well as the rudder pedals being set quite far away from the seat. This build of a full-scale home cockpit is my life long dream so I obviously want to get it right. I would like to verify a few of the dimensions from the real thing if possible. Unfortunately, there isn't too much information about Aztec on the internet as this kind…

Maybe a strange question and off topic: Whenever I use the"quote" option when someone comments I don't see it appear on the related page...I notice that when others quote on comments theirs can be seen...is there a reason for this?... And I don't know if I am making myself clear here...but when I quote someone I have to really dig before I find what I quoted...whilst I notice that other members quote other members and it can be seen right away on the same page.

Hello all! I hope you are staying safe in these times. I took inspiration from the A380 thread, and just wanted to ask, which addons would you like to see made by which developers? I'll start off. ORBX Isle of Man. For UK simmers, this is quite fun, it has a handful of routes and does not have a P3D v4/5 version yet. TFDi MD11. I think this is viable. TFDi showed their competence and persistence in the 717, whose flight deck is a spitting image of the MD11. Systems wise there would have to be changes, they could buy the PMDG MD11 code from FSLabs, and it would be worth it, (I mean, I think a lot can beat a 717 in sales). Any thoughts welcome, please …

Hello all, I'm trying to get a batch file that will open my most used addons with one click. I read up on batch files and I'm trying make it work. After some research, I created the following: @echo off cd "F:\Program Files (x86)\HiFi\AS_P3Dv4\AS_P3Dv4" start "AS_P3Dv4.exe" cd "G:\Prepar3D v4\Modules" start "LINDA.exe" pause This above does not work at all. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

Greetings and I hope this finds you safe and well. I'm currently working on a project for my Dexter Industries GoPiGo robot where I control it with a joystick. Ergo, I dig up my (old) Saitek X52 HOTAS controller that I've had sitting in a box for a while. That, planked down on my computer table, brought back fond memories of simming with FS-2000 all the way to FSX, (which I waited outside of a BestBuy to purchase of the "first day of issue") <== stamp collector joke. I've played with the FS series, and I've messed with the FlightGear sims. . . . Maybe I'm wrong, but the FS sims seem "too easy". Plug it in, turn it on, and away you go! FlightG…
