Gates Learjet 35A

Just bought the 35. I've run into a couple issues: 1. Sometimes the cabin altitude controller dial gets stuck if I dial it all the way down to 25,000 feet/sea level. Is there a way to unstick it? 2. Strobe lights are flashing in the cockpit when I have them on. Is there anything I can do about this as a user or is this on the developer's end. Thanks.

I don't have P3D but would like to get some feedback for a friend that does. With the Lear35 (using one GTN750 and the Rex WX radar with Active Sky 16) he is getting about 22FPS in the VC, and about 28-29 FPS outside the a/c. These figures are lower than he gets with FSX, especially the VC frame rate. Are these frame rates typical for the Lear35 in P3D? Did you notice a drop in frame rates moving from FSX to P3D with the Lear35? My friend does not see a comparable frame rate drop between FSX and P3D with other a/c which have a frame rate of about 33. Thx for any input, Al

Hello.. i think i updated something and now when i start Prepar3d an error message appears and say default kingair wx locked out which i didnt care but started the Lear35a and i got same message any way to repair? Thanks Steve Prepar3d v4.2

I have updated my Learjet 35 to the latest version, 3.0. I have noticed that the taxi and landing lights, from the cockpit view, are not illuminating the ground in front of the aircraft, although in spot view I can see see that the lights are on. I was not having this issue in prior versions of the lear. I don't know if this is a specific problem with v3.0 or if there may be something I may be overlooking. Any advice appreciated. Thanks. Bob

Flysimware Learjet 35A autopilot disconnect problem Flying an ILS the jet is on glide slope and localizer and configured for landing. At 500' AGL I disarm the GS, then the NAV mode and finally disengage the AP (on the panel and not the main AP switch). The aircraft performs a serious bank and I do well to land anywhere on the runway. I never turned fuel crossfeed on and both standby pumps were off. So I don't believe there should have been a fuel imbalance. I have wind set to zero. Aileron and rudder trim were set to neutral at takeoff and not touched by me. So why did the AP give me an airplane out of trim? By the way, other than this, the autopilot worked …

Hi, I would like to hear if someone knows which are the assignments (FSUIPC or SPAD.Next) for the following switches: Thrust Reverser Arm L/R Air Ignition L/R Fuel Computer L/R I have explored both FSUIPC and SPAD.Next list of assignments and found NIL, nada, nothing to move these switches. In P3Dv4 I have been experiencing unexplained engine flame outs multiple times per flight with no rhyme or reason. I can manually restart no problem but it will happen again 30 mins later. Any thoughts?

Hi all: Took the 35 to a neat little airport called Knoxville Downtown, KDXK. Beautiful scenery, rivers, lakes, no snow on the ground except in the terrain to the south, and downtown Knoxville to the west. Good airport scenery in the library. Although there is an RNAV with vertical guidance approach in the GTN, VMC definite recommended because of the terrain. Also it is a short field at 3700 ft, actually ok to get in but need to be pretty light going out. Actually not legal I'd imagine :) The real reason for this post is to discuss the 35's CG display in the sim. The CG is shown way forward regardless of how she is loaded. Seeking suggestions on what happened. Previously running this great a/c with no issues. After updating to P3D v4.2, I cannot get the ALT SEL switch to stay on. After every press, it illuminates for one second and extinguishes. Of course, it never captures the assigned altitude and I have tried for 2 days to determine what happened. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Lear and I have uninstalled and reinstalled the client for v4.2 with no change. Something just keeps the switch from staying locked. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

A friend of mine recently switched over to P3Dv4.1 from FSX. He has noticed that when he shifts his view (he uses TrackIR) from outside the VC to the inside he sees a significant frame rate drop -- something like 30 to 19 or so. He did not see this effect in FSX. I don't have P3D so would be interested to hear if anyone else has noticed similar changes in frame rate from outside to inside the Lear. Oddly, he does not notice this frame rate drop with any other a/c. I don't think my friend has fully set up anti-aliasing in P3D, so perhaps that would make a difference given the detail in the Lear VC. Thanks for any ideas, Al

Last night I did a flight where I landed in the dark. I'm flying the DNS model. I couldn't turn on the panel lights, nor the panel gauges. It was hard to see anything. I looked in the manual, and nothing about lighting. I tried shift+L and it didn't do anything. How do you turn on the lights? Also my GPS doesn't have terrain map, only the black. And when I was making my approach to KMSP, I couldn't select an approach. The Proc work and showed select an approach, but I couldn't get to do anything. My 402C, the GPS works like it should, but not the LJ. Even when selecting VNAV I can't select waypoints in the flight plan to add the alt I need. I've looked at all…

OK I finally got around to buying the Lear 35A immersion package and created an image that I wanted to share and perhaps get some comments. I previously posted this image in FSFX packages forum but received no comments. I think the lighting is too bright and there is a "swirling effect" in the light beam itself. The swirling effect may be difficult to see. I don't think this image looks the same as the images provided on the FSFX packages website. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to improve the volumetric lighting? Are there settings I need to change? Thanks for any help! Airbus

I'm not getting dimmer controls working for the interior lights on my Lear. I have the "Flysimware_Dimmer.cab" in both my Panel.main and Panel.gns folders. Do I need to decompress for this to work (expected this to happen automagically)!? The lights do work but there is no control of the brightness. Hi i am having issues with the sim crashing to desktop lately. It only happens with this plane and this plane was flying great until recently. I recently added the MilViz/REX WX Advantage. Even so it ran fine until recently. no modifications have been made. thanks in advance for any help Danny

Hi Folks, One other little improvement I'll start including with my paints - easily copied to whichever paint desired - the glaring RED no yoke shield always bothered me - here's a little more conservative subdued rendition - wish I could trim that flange off it... Hi gang, First off, I love the AirNet repaint we already have and fly it all the time. But, I was wondering if anyone would like to paint one of the less glamorous looking paints in the fleet? No pressure, but just thought I'd put the request out there. I'd love to learn how to paint, but I barely have enough time to even fly lately, as is (law school is killing me, not softly, but surely). :-) Scott
