	I noticed the beacon lights bleed through the bottom of the cabin. I can see solid red and flashing under the rear bench seats. It looks like there's red floor lights installed in the cabin :). I also notice the flashing down by the rudder pedals but it's fairly dim and not bothersome. The only workaround I could find was to remove some of the beacon.fx files from the main effects folder which obviously diminishes the exterior beacon effects. Maybe this is a LM issue?   I'm running 4.5 with latest version of the Lear.

	Hi All,
</p>

<p>
	I just downloaded the Lear into P3D 4.5. I noticed that when I turn on the batteries there's a black smoke effect coming out of both engines when the engines are off. When I turn on the exterior lights the smoke gets darker. When I turn off of the batteries the effect goes away. Any thoughts? I'm running the latest version from FSW.

After landing i try to program de 2nd flight ( the return flight ) (ROUTE: SPJR-MANPA-BOBUG-ATATU-ATATU3-SPJC), I can enter everything but in the HSI display not rute displayed, it is displayed just since ATATU TO SPJC), not route showing from SPJR to ATATU.  In the FMS is colored with PINK  the waypoint ATATU (MANPA AND BOBUG are green colored, as if my first waypoint was ATATU).

	Hello,
</p>

<p style="color:#000000;">
	I recently switched from p3D to MFS for the New Lear 35. I have decided to go back to P3D.
</p>

<p style="color:#000000;">
	A few questions:
</p>

<ol>
	<li style="color:#000000;">
		Is there any way I can adjust the aircraft climb performance? I find the initial climb after takeoff is a bit excessive.
	</li>
	<li style="color:#000000;">
		Is it possible to have a panel with a stand alone altitude alerter rather than it being combined into the altimeter? For some reason the Multi Crew Experience copilot wont set the altitude when I call for it. I think a previous version of the lear used to have this?
	</li>
	<li style="color:#000000;">
		I currently have V4.4 however I noticed that I never get an altitude alert. The altimeter annunciator light does not illuminate and I don’t get a aural tone when within 1000ft of my assigned altitude I have set.
	</li>
	<li style="color:#000000;">
		Is their a Mod that saves the aircraft state. Every time I load the aircraft it defaults to a certain state and I have to change it to what was previously set.
	</li>
</ol>

<p style="color:#000000;">
	Thanks

<p>
	Back around 1998 a company called AVCON ( <a href="https://www.avconindustries.com/performance/" rel="external nofollow">https://www.avconindustries.com/performance/ )</a> came out with a mod for the Lear35A that included extended range tip tanks as described in this article from the May 1998 Flying Magazine.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<img alt="472032f9c8.png" class="ipsImage" data-ratio="183.19" height="425" width="232" src="https://www.avsim.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" data-src="https://puu.sh/FUgQ3/472032f9c8.png"></p>

<p>
	So having some time on my hands I decided to try and add the extended range tip tanks to the FSW Lear35A. This involved minor mods to the aircraft.cfg and Learjet_35A.cab files, and a modified Payload Manager. The modified Payload Manager looks like this:
</p>

<p>
	<img alt="b86562be92.png" class="ipsImage" data-ratio="71.43" height="618" style="width:420px;height:auto;" width="866" src="https://www.avsim.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" data-src="https://puu.sh/FUiId/b86562be92.png"></p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<img alt="9f93f0830a.png" class="ipsImage" data-ratio="71.67" height="618" style="width:420px;height:auto;" width="862" src="https://www.avsim.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" data-src="https://puu.sh/FUiHa/9f93f0830a.png"></p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	You will note that just below the Light, Medium and Heavy fuel selection tabs there is a new entry called Extended Range Tip Tanks. In the first picture the associated tab says NO with a white background, which means the a/c has the regular tip tanks installed and so the white Max Fuel and Max Weight figures (6279 and 18,000) apply. In the second picture the tip tank tab says YES with a green background which means the extended tip tanks are installed and so the green Max Fuel and Max Weight figures (7030 and 19,600) apply. The regular tip tanks can hold up to 1215 lbs of fuel each, and the extended range tip tanks up to 1590 lbs of fuel each. The individual tank fuel quantities can be adjusted as usual by clicking on the + and - signs.
</p>

<p>
	If you want to experiment with this, the three modified files can be downloaded in a zip file from my DropBox at
</p>

<p>
	<a href="https://www.dropbox.com/s/uuj0zzl0g6ezhb3/AVCON%20L35%20TipTankMod.zip?dl=0" rel="external nofollow">https://www.dropbox.com/s/uuj0zzl0g6ezhb3/AVCON%20L35%20TipTankMod.zip?dl=0</a>
</p>

<p>
	Backup the original existing files by renaming them, e.g., aircraft_Orig.cfg, PAYLOAD_MANAGER_Orig.cab, and Learjet_35A_Orig.cab. The aircraft.cfg file goes in the main Lear35A folder, and the PAYLOAD_MANAGER and Learjet_35A cab files go in the Lear's Panel folder. Restart the sim after making these changes.
</p>

<p>
	These three files are the only changes I've made. I know less than nothing as far as modeling is concerned, and there has been no changes made to the external model. So nothing has changed from an appearance point of view. I've heard it mentioned that the extended range tip tanks may be approximately 3 ft longer than the regular ones, but I've not come across any definitive details. If you find something on this I'm sure we all would like to know.
</p>

<p>
	Of course, I did have my A&amp;P guy beef up the landing gear and make the other necessary structural changes required by this mod.  <span class="ipsEmoji">😉</span>
</p>

<p>
	Finally, please understand I'm not a Flysimware employee, and this is not an officially sanctioned Flysimware mod. Any experimentation is at your own risk.

Hope this helps out those looking for more detailed information.</p>

<p>
	Hey everyone,
</p>

<p>
	As most of you know, I fly the LR35 in real life. It's a rough job, but somebody has to do it.
</p>

<p>
	This puts me in a great position to record real sounds off the airplane in a controlled environment. I recorded over 100 custom sounds, carefully selected the best ones, and began editing them. I worked on the sound files and provided a bit of quality control to ensure it conforms to the real airplane (as I do with every aspect of FSW projects). Al wrote all of the code for the new sounds, and I gotta say, he did a hell of a job. Just a quick list of *some* of the new sounds. ALL sounds were recorded directly out of the airplane I fly at work.

</p>

<p>
	-Engine Starter, Combustion, Idle EXTERNAL

</p>

<p>
	-Tire Whine
</p>

<p>
	-AP Disconnect
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Keep in mind that several of the sounds that appear in this video are still pending final touches, and as such do not necessarily reflect the finalized sound files that will appear in the final release. Also, I'm leaving several of the sounds out of the video. Can't spoil everything <span>:)</span>
</p>

<p>
	Hope you enjoy!

<p>
	I was using P3Dv5.3 HF2 when I bought and installed the Flysimware Learjet 35A. I have what I believe to be the latest version of the 35a (4.3c) and I am using it with the latest version of the Reality XP 750.
</p>

<p>
	There may have been problems with these things that I may have missed but when I upgraded to v5.4 I noted the following:
</p>

<p>
	(1) On startup, the mach trim warning light is on and I do not know how to turn it off.
</p>

<p>
	(2) The DME guages no longer seem to work for either Nav 1 or Nav 2
</p>

<p>
	Is anyone else experiencing these things? Do you know of fixes?
</p>

<p>
	Thanks,
</p>

	My TAS OpenOffice spreadsheet is what I've used for years to convert the RW performance information from FltPlan.com to a format usable to create an FSBuild profile... Many of the aircraft I've done are on it - the Learjet is the last "tab" to the right - has Climb, Cruise, and Descent profiles... All profiles are based on a Standard Day...

<p>
	The other document is an Excel spreadsheet I've been using to create a checklist and some limited tabular performance data.... It has three tabs - Summary, Performance, and Checklist.... It's an amalgamated reference pulled from a bunch of different sources - including sampling the AFM performance charts... I had envisioned possibly swapping out the kneeboard data from FSW with this....

<p>
	Have installed the latest update for the FMC, much appreciated for the release.
</p>

<p>
	One thing I have noticed is the main panel's flood lighting is inconsistant between the GPS equiped vs. the FMC equiped versions.
</p>

<p>
	Looks to be related to the ~\FLYSIM Learjet 35A\panel.FMS\FLYSIMWARE_DIMMER\PANEL_1_FLOOD.xml and it's use of PANEL_FMS_NIGHT.bmp
</p>

<p>
	Any chance of a resolution ?
</p>

<p>
	Kind of spoils the asthetics of the VC the way the FMC main panel is flood lit.
</p>

<p>
	Cheers
</p>

<p>
	This is what the GPS equiped panel looks like, where the PANEL_1_FLOOD.xml is using PANEL_1_NIGHT.bmp
</p>

<p>
	<img alt="spacer.png" class="ipsImage" data-ratio="56.25" height="1000" style="height:auto;" width="1200" data-src="https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/2033984369199246928/A7028A27C2AAE555FBA784F1B75CE71D4AC5C069/?imw=5000&amp;imh=5000&amp;ima=fit&amp;impolicy=Letterbox&amp;imcolor=%23000000&amp;letterbox=false" src="https://dev.avsim.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	And this the FMC equiped panel where PANEL_1_FLOOD.xml is using PANEL_FMS_NIGHT.bmp
</p>

<p>
	Hello,
</p>

<p>
	I have a question regarding the VNAV path I can enter in the FMC:<br />

</p>

<p>
	What exactly is the benefit of entering the different heights for the waypoints here ?<br />
	In a similar FMC in the Majestic q400, for example, I have the possibility that the autopilot can follow the VNAV path exactly !<br />
	I don't see this possibility here in the Learjet ! Or have I overlooked something ?<br />
	So why should I enter a VNAV path at all ?<br /><br />
	Please explain :-)<br />
	Maybe I'm just confused right now <span class="ipsEmoji">😉</span>
</p>

<p>
	regards

<p>
	Picked this up with the FMS from SimMarket, didn't really even know about it till it was brought up as a recommended buy in an AVSIM P3D forum thread.
</p>

<p>
	And just wanted to say what a great aircraft <span class="ipsEmoji">🙂</span>
</p>

<p>
	I've installed as an add-on.xml where all I needed to do was create the add-on.xml file and add the full paths to the sound gauges.
</p>

<p>
	And unlike the majority of other aircraft, this beauty did not fill up content logging with tons of errors.
</p>

<p>
	Plus I just noted there are rain fx on the cockpit and passanger cabin windows, (although to be fair A2A's are way better).
</p>

<p>
	I've added the dynamic lighting package, dropped in half a dozen extra liveries and am just so much enjoying flying this aircraft.
</p>

<p>
	So congrats to the Flywaresim crew !
</p>

<p>
	Cheers
</p>

	I'm experiencing a jittery or jerky airspeed indicator. The needle jumps back and forth. It could be at 140, then in an instant it's 150, then 140, then 145 all happening in 2-3 seconds. This happens while the plane is on the air. It is almost impossible to land. What is causing that and how is it fixed? <br /><br />
	Everything else seem to be running fine. All the other dials run smoothly.  And there is no shimmering on the panel and the instrument are clear or not blurry. I have FPS set to unlimited and framerate runs at about 25-30 FPS on average. Thank you.
