RXP GTN 750/650 Touch

I bought The Reality XP GTN 750 for FSX:SE with the purpose to be installed on the A2A Cessna 172. For some reason when I turn ON Avionics, radios, transponder, AP, DME turn ON except the GTN 750 stay dark. I have Garmin Trainer installed and working properly. I uninstall and reinstall it with the Anti-virus disable but the problem still there. I don't see a solution to my problem in the forum, so I hope you Guys help me solving this. Hello all, I have succesfully installed my freshly purchased GTN750 into the A2A Bonanza. Everything is working fine, but the screen is way too bright in the VC. I've seen the pinned brightness balancing topic, but I'm still not sure what to change in the .ini file. Can someone share the required changes please? Thanks in advance Tamas

I posted in the VC brightness thread, because I have no idea how to match the brightness in the A2A Bonanza (eventually A2A Comanche and RealAir Duke as well) across both 2D and VC views. But in the meantime, how do I click close the 2D window? I'm in FSX:SE. I can click the left bezel in the VC, but I'm used to clicking on the actual 2D window somewhere to close it, especially if it's covering the VC version. And how can I resize the 2D window without losing aspect ratio but having a more normal size, as it's rather huge on my screen. Hi guys, I tried searching google and this forum but most topics are people asking how to export a .gfp from an external source INTO the GTN units. I'm asking if there's a way to EXPORT a .gfp file made IN-SIM on the actual 750 unit to an external folder? I only ask this because I have to heavily edit my .gfp files made in simbrief, and since there's no crossfill option, I'm stuck with editing the 750 and the 650's waypoints which is a little annoying, especially on long flights such as my recent Dallas to Los Angeles flight. I tried to use the copy option in the menu section of the flight plan but it only copies the flight plan to the same unit, not to a folder. BTW Love…

For the love of God, tell me I didn’t lose all of them! There were hundreds in my userwpts.txt file. The unit now seems much better with all the improvements, but how can I import them again? Also, isn’t there a better way of updating it without losing the created waypoints and plans? Thanks

Hi, I'm not entirely sure how to describe this one, so please bare with me. On the old version of RPX G430, you used to be able to select OBS mode and then turn the OBS dial on the instrument - this would be replicated on the GPS screen so you could see the radial. Well, it doesn't appear that you can do that anymore - either on the 430 or 650. Has something changed, or did I miss a config file entry (again 😉). It used to work as described on the 430 I had set up, but it's not working at all on the 650 either. Any ideas, suggestions, or pointers to FTFI appreciated.

Hello, yesterday I bought the GTN 750. During the installation I have the impression that I am missing files, I explain myself: for example I do not have any file like rxpgtn_menu.dll.log for example. I installed the GTN in the root 😄 \ ProgramData as indicated in the user manual. I also added a part in the FSX dll.xml file to add the RealityXP menu in addons on FSX. Once FSX started, I chose my plane, the airport and I launch the flight. When the plane is loaded I decide to click on Supplement in the FSX menu bar and open the Aircraft Setup of RealityXP .. Hello, I use the GTN750, installed on the A2A Comanche, installed as explained elsewhere in the forum. I get random cracking noises when i fly in the VC, both with the GTN as popup or in the panel. I dont get the noise in external views, and i didnt have it before, so i suppose it has something to do with the GTN display. It is not a big bug, just an annoyance, but if someone knows what happens, let me know. Cheers, Gérard.

G'day all, Just wondering if anyone else is, or has, been having any issues with the Nav Aids at NZWP, in particular the VOR/DME on 116.4. I can tune it but the avionics are not picking it up and therefore can't fly the approach. I've got an up to date db (may be a month old ish). Everything else and all other aerodrome Nav Aids seems to be functioning ok i.e. AA, HN, WR Any ideas or pointers would be gratefully received.

I'm new to the Reality-XP version of the GTNs for P3D v4. The competitor's version of them works fine for me at the moment, but they're taking their time updating to the newer Garmin Trainer versions which have features I'm looking forward to having in my sim. Having said that, I'm considering "upgrading" to the Reality-XP version instead since they seem to be MUCH more regularly kept up-to-date, which I appreciate. Hello, After the recent update, my GTN 750 never gets past the grey 'Starting' screen. I have also found that the Garmin Trainer application (standalone) doesn't start any of the trainers anymore, it says powering up but then switches to powering down before actually opening the application. There is also no Garmin application running, according to my task manager, when P3D is running anymore. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

So, I installed the Reality XP GTN 750 Last night. My problems are as follows. 1. GTN 750 Black screen 2. every time I got to the addons drop-down menu inside of fsx and I click on realityxp configure aircraft my sim freezes and just quits. It is not producing a crash report wither. I have tried getting it to work in all fsx aircraft and A2A addon aircraft. To me, it does not appear to be a certain aircraft its broken in all of them. Some Carenado models offer the inclusion of another GTN750 model in their 3D cockpits. This is done by running a litle program that changes something in their panel.cfg files, I suppose. Is it possible to modify these modifications in a way that the RXP GTN750 can be used instead? Can I find a step-by-step tutorial how to do that? I am too illiterate with the configuration files to find it out myself. Thanks!

Good evening. I would appreciate some help: I cannot get Checklists to show up in the Utilities Screen either on the Demo mode or on the FSX SE unit in any aircraft. I've downloaded a couple of 'Ace' files and inserted them into the associated aircraft files. Then I've renamed them: 'checklist.gtn'. I've also made sure that the FPLN folder is in the "C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Trainers\GTN\FPLN" location. The second query is similar in that I can't get the 'Garmin Checklist Editor software' to work. Hi. I'd like to say I've tried everything, however, if I had, I sure I'd have got this working. I d/l RXP GTN650 yesterday for FSX. Initially, after encountering all of the 404 issues, I finally got it installed. I've previously been using RXP 430 sim trainer with no issues what so ever, and it worked great. However, I can not for love nor money get the 650 to show up on my aircraft!! I thought there might be the same little config app that the 430 uses - the one you just assign the the unit to an a/c, position it on the screen.....and you're done, but no, not this one. Downloaded and installed/rebooted/ uninstalled/reinstalled several times now. Forget about the RXP gauge linkage, the Garmin 6.50 trainer itself doesn't display anything but a black screen. This is on Win 10, the installer was run as administrator, no A/V active. The launcher installation worked fine but that was that. This has never happened before.

Ok, I installed the 750 and the trainer. Then I added the 750 as a popup in a plane, but the 750 stays black when I open it. Latest version of the program and P3Dv4.

Hi, A new GTN Trainer v6.50 was just released a couple days ago and we are working on it. Please do not update your trainer until we release a new update, otherwise, the GTN won't power up. Should you have unfortunately updated already, you might want to restore your GTN 6.41.1 installation from a backup. So I bought the GTN750 a few days ago, stuggled to install it, but worked it out in the end, but now I got a whole other problem. When I put in a flight plan in what ever form, whether it be a direct or different legs, it does not follow it. If I activate the GPS function it automatically turn straight to the north. I have installed and reinstalled the GTN750 and the garmin trainer. but that didn't work. I am using the panel presets provided by Bills511 for the A2A Cessna 182. Bought the GTN750 today from the RealityXP store through the ecommerce thingy. Payment went smooth and with out a hitch. Started the installer of the GTN750 but when I get to the page where it asked for me to download the data of the trainer from Garmin, the option is already checked and greyed out. When I go to the install page it stops with a 404 error.
