RXP GTN 750/650 Touch

I scoured the previous topics here and was unable to find a good discussion. Thought I had seen one, but it was likely embedded in responses within a topic whose subject title was for a different matter. Has anyone developed a harmonious balance that gets the VC screen brightness and the 2D popup screen brightness for the GTN close(r) to one another? I seem to see three parameters or settings in play. In the .ini file there are Rheostat,Display (0 - 100), and Brightness and Brightness,Screen (-100 to 100). Like many I have been struggling to fly real SIDS and STARS with the Navdata being over 2 years out of date on the F1 GTN750. They have been promising a more recent Airac at some point - but no dates. For example the routes available at KSAN were less than 50% of those listed on Navigraph! I purchased the RXP GTN750 today and was delighted that it's advertised 1803 Airac was 100% complete at KSNA (apart from a couple of number variations). Not only that but the RXP shows vertical restrictions more clearly and I found the VNAV process much better. I have found that some airplanes converted from F1 to RXP GTN have a problem with recognizing the Direct-To and Home buttons when clicked, even when one of the nifty translation programs for the buttons/knobs is used. A double-click often works, but a single click does not. After trying various things, I have now gone to the Interior Model files and trough trial and error found that making some simple edits fixes the situation. However, our software installer will most likely fail downloading the latest trainer automatically reporting a "404" error (file not found), because Garmin is usually removing the previous GTN trainer all-in-one installer from their servers. Hi, I'd thought it would be helpful for our customers to have a place where they can link to videos of the GTN in action. You can learn so much when seeing how someone uses the RXP GTN Touch in an actual flight, not only about the GTN feature set, but also about how to apply this knowledge in the context of an actual virtual flight. So let me start opening this forum thread with a video I've just stumbled upon. This video by Blu Games aboard the Carenado S550 Citation II shows some of the new Reality XP GTN 750 Touch VNAV functions , and I personally just find the overall 'feeling', scenery and aircraft stunningly realistic!

I have not yet updated to Trainer 6.5 and the related RXP GTN update. Instead I am waiting on the impending newer update coming soon. I would like to ask for some direction. My situation is this. Previous to the RXP GTN 750 I was a licensed user of the F! GTN product. At the time I first installed the RXP GTN 750, I left the F1 GTN in place. I’m using a RealSimGear GTN 650 with Reality XP GTN 650 in Prepar3D v4. The RealSimGear Device Interface detects the hardware and shows button activity and commands such as: GPS DIRECTTO BUTTON GPS CURSOR BUTTON So the hardware is being seen. In Reality XP, Use Simulator GPS Commands is enabled. If I assign the Direct-To function to a keyboard key in P3D, the Reality XP GTN responds correctly. Heyo! this is probably a pretty bad topic or something as the answer is most likely probably not but i was curious so decided to make this. I noticed when i run the garmin aviation trainer software and go to versions i see the version installed in the trainer launcher is 6.62 when a much newer 6.72 version exists.. i was wondering if it was possible to upgrade to this much newer version of the trainer or is it stuck on 6.62 until the gtn software i guess can be safely moved up a version? i am probably speaking nonsense lol but i figure one of you wonderful people here would know the answer.

I use Ideal Flight for planning. My last plan ended with an impossible final approach. I closed autopilot, made an emergency landing, and closed P3D. Now my RXP 750 is stuck on that plan. When I load the same file as ever before, the old abandoned flight appears. Could someone please help?

I purchased the GTN 750 product, and ran the installer as per the instructions. To install the guage into an airplane, the instructions say to find the installer in "my documents/Prepar 3D verx addons. Ther is nothing there in that folder. Also, I don't have Prepar 3D, I have FS-X. The guage file appears in my guages folder in FSX, but I have no idea how to get it to work in the airplane that I want to use it in. Please help.

Hello. Today I installed RXP in my P3D 4.5. The Trainer itself has been updates by itself (looks like). But GTN 750 v6.72 can not be installed due to errors (see screenshots). The response status code does not indicate success: 404 (Not Found). In my P3D we can see an OLD RXP database. Please, help!
