RXP GNS 530W/430W V2

I find that when I load a saved FP in to the Garmin, when I go to add a departure SID it clears the flightplan and just has the sid programmed. Is this normal? I just want to add the sid to my flightplan.

I read their docs and tried the application to switch gauges but no joy. Does anybody have instructions on how to get it working in the PC12 and B1900?

When trying to install XPR Garmin 430 on the Carenado PA 34 (FSX-SE on Windows 7) I get an error message "Destination Folder Access Denied." I have changed access settings without success. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks Mike

Before purchasing I have a couple of questions that were not specifically described from another similar software manufacturer. 1) Will this work on an Arduino based GPS unit and a VGA monitor in my simulator that has a hands on GPS (not a screen version GPS) unit that has has it's own monitor to display information. I don't know how better to describe it but I don't use the one provided by Flight Simulator software it is through FSUIPC. 2) Is there any limitations with the amount of button inputs on this external GPS unit? I have 22 input buttons on my flight sim panel. 3) Are there periodic mapping updates required?This is not a problem, but I need to unders…

I have been updating a number of my planes in P3D v4.5. With the Carenado A36 Bonaza I have a problem in the VC gauge that most of the knobs are functioning (on the left and right side of the bezel), only not the bottom row: CDI, OBS, MSG, FPL and PROC. Whatever I tried, I can't get it to work. I found no answer on the other forum items. The knobs on the popup (2D) gauge do work correctly. I have 2 versions of the Bonanza: the original one supplied with the P3D package and a newer version bought from Carenado. Both versions have the same problem. Most other Carenado planes do not have this defect. Anyone with an idea how to solve this? Cheers, Jelle

On the Carenado PC12 the click spots for the lower GNS530 don't line up with with the knobs. I have an update file that I got from these forums but even though the upper GNS works the lower one doesn't If someone could tell me how to do it my self so I can do it in the future for other aircraft that would be great.

So i recently purchased the GNS G530 hardware to add to my flight sim setup using FSX Steam edition. Super excited to use it. I was told by RealSimGear that i would need to download the RealityXP software to get it working. So i purchased the software for $50, and when i go to download it and i have to specify a file path to save it, i get this message.... C:\program files (x86)\steam is not a valid fsx.se steam edition folder. make sure to choose the folder where fsx.exe version 10 is located. I'm getting the message light blinking on the 530. It says "Configuration Error" "Config service req'd". I don't see anything out of the ordinary. I'm running FSX gold. Also, how does one get rid of the top white bar after I've placed the map in my RealSimGear 530. Thanks in advance

As the Title says... Just got the RXP 530/430 for use in P3D V4; before undocking, it's running at about 60fps; after undocking, it drops to about 30 if on the same monitor, and 24 when I move them to another monitor... Any ideas? The previous version (in FSX, at least) didn't seem to have any framerate increase, even on my old computer. thanks

Flying an ILS approach seems fine. On a GPS LPV approach while using NAV and ALT on the autopilot as I approach the glideslope, I receive the yellow triangles indicating that vertical guidance is available. At this point, in the past when I pressed the APP button, the ALT continues to be lighted just like in an ILS approach. When the plane intercepts the glideslope, the ALT light goes out and the plane starts down. However, now when I press the APP on the autopilot, the ALT light goes out immediately, long before glideslope intercept, and the plane starts down. Just wondering if anything has changed in the programming for GNS530 v2 that would affect this? -Spug

Is there a possible tutorial available for panel integration? I'm trying to use the 430 with the JustFlight C152, which has native integration support for the F1 GNS but not RXP.

Hey guys, So I recently purchase RXP GNS530W V2 and I am having two issues with the software. The first issue I am having is how do I update the Navigation Database in the software? On the GNS its saying that the nav database is from 2009. Second Issue I am having I guess is related to the first issue. When I am trying to load flightplans I keep getting the message that the Waypoint is locked and I need to check my flight plan. I am using SkyVector to plan my flights.

I have, recently, purchased Reality XP GNS v2 for prepar 3D v4. The purchase seemed go ok and I was exited to install. I copied my password etc,and tried to grt the program to load into one of my aircraft. It had failed to install properly so I went back to re install but by this time I had copied some other thing and so had no re-install details. Having no Email about my purchase and nowhere to contact Reality XP the GNS is lost, and all I have is th thing half installed in Windows ten. Hello all, So when I attempt to do an ILS landing using the GNS 530, the GNS 530 does not deactivate the Altitude hold even when I intercept the localizer at the correct Altitude. How do I fix this? I am using the Saitek Pro-flight multi-panel as well.

Just updated last night (430 dual config in A36 Bonanza P3Dv4.4). Everything as advertised except using the mouse to turn the outer and inner com / nav knobs. I use the legacy mouse selection but the knobs no longer illuminate when the mouse over is in the zone to turn knob. I get the turn left/right symbol but the zones seem to have changed significantly. I can only change the outer knob from a small spot above the knob and the zone or spot for the inner knob seems to be much larger. I can get used to it but is this a real change or bug or just my setup? Thanks, Bruce

When I first set up my RXP GNS 530 on Flight Simulator X:SE, the GNS were performing very very smooth. I don't know if I click something inappropriate, but the next day my GNS were lagging, when I click something its wait about 3 seconds to response, instead of response instantly. Hello, I am trying to connect the Flightsim X SE Reality XP 430 V2 GPS buttons to buttons on my Xbox controller. I don't see a way to do this with the RealityXP.GNS.ini file, so I haven't tried anything there. I found a comment that Reality XP GPS should intercept the Microsoft GPS button assignments. So I assigned Joystick buttons to the default GPS controls. When I use a plane with the default GPS, it works. When I use a plane with Reality XP GPS, the buttons don't work. How do I get Reality XP GPS to recognize the Default GPS signals? Or how do I connect the joystick buttons to the Reality GPS? Thanks, Brian

Hi again... I am so close to having everything squared away, but another issue is troubling me: I cannot get the COM/VLOC frequencies to "stick". I can alternate between the two, and I can change both before and after the decimals, but as soon as I stop rotating the knobs, it resets back to the default 118.000/108.00 I've tried all the options in the RXP gui, and I don't see anything obvious in FSUIPC. Can someone point me in the direction of where to point next? I have tried this with both the stock and RXP in cockpit, but mostly am focusing on the instrument pop-out. After replacing the default 430 with the RXP430, I can see the unit, but I can not power it on. I have tried various power options for the RXP 430 but nothing works. The default A36 unit 2 powers on fine. (This scenario is also the same for the RXP 530 as well as the GTN750)

Hi all, I am having some troubles, and would appreciate any suggestions on where to look. I have recently purchased fsuipc and rxp to go along with my p3d and emuteq installation. i'm not 100% sure where the issue is. I've gone through the documentation, and there's some contradictory information. I have searched through here and deployed some of the "confirmed working" solutions. So, my issues- 1) How do I get the RXP instrument panel to stay deployed to a tertiary screen on start up? 2) Is there a trick to passing commands through FSUIPC? hi all, i'm back... I'm having problems with the inner knobs - FSUIPC is registering COM_INNR_CCW_1/CW_1 and GPS_INNR_CCW_1/CW_1 with the correct key combinations, but they do not seem to be having an effect in RXP. The rest of the buttons seem to be both registered and functioning correctly. This may be related - I see that the computer is picking up and interpreting the "alt" key presses, and flashing through the menu. Is this as simple as replacing "alt" with something else in the mappings? P3Dv4.4 Thanks for looking, Anthony

I have successfully installed the Reality XP GNS 430 in the upper, No 1 virtual cockpit GPS display in the Carenado A36 Bonanza. This airplane uses an Aspen EFD 1000 display for the traditional six pack display. The default Carenado GPS 430 flight plan paths/waypoints are superimposed on the Aspen HSI, as is the case for a real world setup. I have got the Autopilot to track the Reality 430 flight paths (roll steering) and fly fully coupled ILS and LPV approaches. I cannot however get the Reality XP 430 to show the flight plan path/waypoints on the Aspen HSI display. Any help gratefully received, Regards, Peter Luff.
