RXP GNS 530W/430W V2

For some reason RXP uses the f1 e-commerce wrapper system for purchase and updates. For the latest update the entire file must be downloaded and installed from the f1 purchase page. There are two options there: One asks for the key (which I have); the other asks for a user name and a password which I also have. Sadly, the f1 server will not accept the key file. Not only that but it asks for the last four numbers of the credit card used for purchase. Not easy if you use PayPal, Nor will the f1 server accept my user name and password. Hi again. I have a custom mini panel which I force into all the planes I fly. When launching the 530 from it, does the RealityXP.GNS.ini need to be in the gauges folder or still in each aircraft's folder?

I have had the earlier versions of the V2 GNS430 working great on my FSX Steam sim, but when I upgraded to 2.4.16 just recently, the GPS stopped working. It will not send the proper control signals to my Megett AP. Plane just flies off in a random direction. What could be the problem?

I have both the GNS 530 and GTN 750 running Windows 10, P3Dv4.5 with a primary 4k and secondary small 10" touch screen for the GPS units. I can't get either GPS to accept touch screen clicks, even though the screen is calibrated and works fine in other apps. Mouse works. Tried with and without Bezel - same issue either way I'm sure there's some setting I am missing here...any ideas?

Hello, just installed the RXP GNS530, after a re-install of P3DV4.5 HF2. And ... it does not work. The install goes well, I get the RXP directory in Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons with the add-on.xml file, I get files installed in Program Files (x86)\Reality XP, and the Garmin GNS trainer get installed. In the sim I see the RXP add-on menu. After configuring the GPS of the A2A C172 (A2A configurator), a 530 Bezel is shown in the sim, but it is inactive. Black screen and I cannot switch it on, pressing the button does not do anything. Trying configuring a pop-up window in a stock aircraft via the in-sim add-on menu does not work neither. Installed and reinstalled the GNS V2 430 in the Alabeo DA40 for P3D V4. Trying to use the direct to function, have CDI set to GPS and the autopilot set to NAV. Garmin show the direct to route, but plane flies in opposite direction. Uninstall and use the default function 430 that comes with the addon plane, perform the same function and works correctly. What am I doing wrong?

I just today got the rxp 530 for fsx and I'm dismayed by the low graphics. I have been using the inexpensive sf 530 and it's display is much sharper and cleaner. Is there a setting in rxp to remedy this?

Does anyone have a copy of the TERRAIN.TDB and worldwide.bin files they can share from the GTN Trainer from version 6.01.1, before the format was changed with version 6.21.1? I think version 6.01.1 was the last iteration that worked plug-and-play with the reality xp gauge and it was from 2016. A lot changed in the WAAS world between the provided database date of 2009 and 2016. I looked everywhere online for the GTN trainer version 6.01.1 and it doesnt exists anymore. Only 6.21.1 is available. Thanks!

Hi, Does anyone know if it is possible to manually add an approach by editing an xml file or some other way with the 530? There is a Horizon Air RNP approach into KSUN that I'd love to be able to add. After all it is a sequence of waypoints based on coordinates.

Anyone figured out how to assign the inner/outer freq dial to hardware knobs? Every other button/knob has a fairly easy mapping in the native P3D v4.5 keyboard assignments but that one

I use the original GNS530 in FSX. The worldwide.bin database up to May 2018 does not include EGNS, Ronaldsway, Isle of Man. This is not some tiny airport with a grass runway in the back of beyond. It handles A319s and sometimes A320s to Luton and Belfast. There are routes to London City, Glasgow, Dublin, Manchester and elsewhere. Is this airport included in the database supplied with the V2 version, and also with the GTN750? Thanks.

My installation of v2 in P3D v4.4 with Realsimgear 430 has been working fine all year, but now displays the above message and is threatening to shut down. I haven't changed anything. RXP, I would appreciate your guidance. Many thanks, PatrickW

I searched everywhere and have yet to find an answer. I just purchased a new taildragger 172 that has a feature to change the panel after the aircraft is loaded up. One of the configuration options has a 430 in it so I decided to try and add the gns430 in place of the one that comes with the aircraft. What shows up is the gns 430 with the bezel in the place where you would expect to just see the screen. I think it would work ok if I could hide the bezel but the bigger doesn't want to hide. I read the manual and all the posts about hiding the bezel but no go when I set it up in the .ini file. I see the display show properly for a second but then it switches to the g…

It is possible to fix this 'glitch' I have tested it on the Carenado Seneca V. There seems to be a border on the display of the guage although it works perfect.

I would like to set up the GPS so that the aircraft will fly to GPS coordinates. Is it possible to input the GPS coordinates manually into the 530? Thanks for any suggestions. Martin

Master will hopefully be NO_BEZEL on a 7 inch HDMI screen, the secondary will be installed as per A2A or Popup.. So I need full functionality on the home built panel in each aircraft, the secondary panel on the cockpit dash is purely visual and does not need to do anything except look the part. I have the GNS530 V2 running in FSX in the Carenado Seneca V. It is interfaced to the f1 Aspen EFD1000 which has the Attitude Display on the top half of the instrument and the Navigational Display on the bottom half of the instrument. The Attitude Display includes a "Lateral Deviation Indicator (LDI)" and the Navigation Display includes a "Course Deviation Indicator(CDI)". And they both display a Glide Slope Indicator. When flying an LPV approach, presumably the LDI and CDI should be displaying the same relative deviation. However, the LDI is way more sensitive than the CDI. Hi everyone, I have a few days I'm trying to update my RXP 530W from 2.4.6.0 to 2.4.14.0; when I do the whole process with the update file when I open FSX:SE the gauge still says that I have to update to 2.4.14.0 saying that I have version 2.4.6.0. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled RXP 530W with all windows programs and antivirus closed, but still says the same. What am I doing wrong?

This came up a while ago without resolution, but I believe I now know why/how it happens. In the GNS530 / AUX pages, you can select which datafields show below the COM/NAV frequencies. Mine occasionally changes to DIS on its own, even though I had previously specified VOR info. I just noticed that this happens if I start up an airplane (RealAir Duke) with a GPS500 in the panel (!). If I then subsequently select an airplane with a GNS 530, the datafield has changed to DIS.

Hello, I recently purchased the GNS 530W and 430W for FSX-SE. I have went through the installation process and have hit a wall as far as trying to figure out what to do next. These are the steps I have taken: - I have started FSX, clicked on the add-on taps. Then selected reality XP GNS for the aircraft I am flying at the time. - I'll select "Configure Reality XP GNS Popup Windows" -Next, I tried multiple configurations. Visibility has only given me two options: 2D Cockpit/load hidden. In both cases I used the config utility that came with the plane as opposed to the one that came with GNS.
