After 8 years of using Reality XP, I had never been able to properly execute an LPV, LNAV, RNP, or GPS approach… until today, when I finally found a configuration that works.

Over time, I realized that, in the market of single-engine and twin-engine aircraft for X-Plane and MSFS, some planes fully support these approaches, while others do not handle them correctly.

For example, the Milviz Cessna 310 does not fully follow the LPV approach: it captures the lateral path, and the glide path is detected, but the autopilot does not follow it due to its internal logic (KAP 140 type).

Thanks to analysis and guidance from artificial intelligence, I was able to better understand how GPS, the glide path, and the autopilot work, which allowed me to properly configure Reality XP and finally succeed in flying these approaches ;)) If anyone is interested in the correct Reality XP setup, I can share photos I’ve taken. It’s even better than long texts—after all, isn’t a picture worth a thousand words? 😄

	Hi

I use RXP 430W V2 with Prepar3D V3, updated with the most recent Jeppesen database from my realworld Jepp subscription (I am a private pilot).

What I do not understand is why RXP 430W only sees RNAV approaches as "LNAV" while an "LPV" approach is available. Problem happens for example on European airports (LFPN, LFLA) while it seems to work normaly on an US airport (KHAO) with the same software and same database! Could the be a link with a pb of almanach data?

	Thanks

Hello, I just discovered the checklist function (AUX2>Checklist) on the GNS 530 but of course creating a full checklist on the device is a bit tedious. Where is this information stored? Is there a way to create a checklist as a file and load it on the device? Or is there a tool for this to make checklist creation faster and easier?

I've encountered an error when updating my database. I run X-Plane 12, Reality XP GNS 430W and the RealSimGear GNS430 Hardware Device with two G5s. My last working database update was to cycle 2413. This week I tried to update to cycle 2503, but I get an error and the GPSs don't initialize. The RealityXP log file shows:

It seems that there is a problem with the new database files which causes an error and endless reboot cycles. The working files are different sizes: 5236KB (working) vs 5290KB (not working). Was there are change in the files between the database files in cycle 2413 and 2503 which would cause Reality XP to fail upon loading the database files?

According to Reality XP tools, I am up-to-date.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

I have seen a button in the direct-to tab in videos on YouTube that allows you to use your keyboard to enter the new waypoint.

	Hi,

I´m using Fligt Simulator X Steam Edition on Windows 10. The Simulator works fine.

I have puchased the RealityXP GNS package. The installtion went well - no errors.

When I start the configuration for a aircraft the dialog for the configuration apears and the configuration also works well.

After the configuration the menu entry for the RealityXP GNS also appears in the cockpit configuration of the aircraft.

But when I activate it there seems to be a short flickering on the screen like someting aperas, but the GNS is not showing.

I checked a lot of forums and the manual but didn´t find a solution.

Not unexpectedly, this does nothing but bring up the default P3d view menu.

I know the settings are SAVED in the ini file but how do I create them in the first place when I cannot start the 'wizard' from the plane?

IMO this option screen should have been located also in the RXP menu so that you can always access it.

At the moment I'm using a Lancair Legacy with one 530 in it. Looks fine but cant ASSIGN most GPS functions due to not being able to access the above applet and the dials are hellish to turn need activate legacy controls also.

I have this issue with both GTN and GNS, but I'm posting here because the GNS is the unit that is currently installed on the plane.

Ok, Alabeo Saratoga TC P3D5. When I enter a flightplan or just a Direct To leg, the CDI is in GPS mode, when I hit NAV, the AP will turn due North and continue in that direction. As I said, this is with the GTN unit and the GNS unit, I'm using HDG mode to get to the path and no matter where I'm at in relation to it, either on it, just left or just right, hit the NAV button and it turns to 360/00 Degrees, due North.

I installed the GNS using the Alabeo/Carenado installer and then adding the unit(s) with the RXP installer in the Sim.

I have XP12.06 on Win11 Pro latest and just installed RXP. I am using the vFlyte Arrow III G5 with built-in RXP support.

Problem: When the plane loads and I hit the master bus switch, the RXP 430 and/or 530 (I use 530 for NAV/COM 1) does not appear or start. If I go to the RXP plugin menu and deselect the 430/530 and reselect it again, it will come back. This happens again randomly - sometimes I get lucky and everything seems to work normally.

Is there some kind of timing bug when the GNS trainer is ready to boot up the avionics? Anyone seen this?

Will there be an update so that compatibility with P3Dv6 can be achieved?

I have P3D V5.4 and would like to reinstall them again after several years. I have old ones dating back to 219 but obviously for old 32bit systems. I am quite happy to pay for new ones. I see the adverts for the 530 for $35.00 but when I go to pay it says #49.95.

I can not work out the 35% or 50% coupons? Basically I want to download and use the 530 and 750 and am willing to pay for them, and use them in P3D V5. How do I do this/

I have been using the RXP GNS2 units for many years on FS2004 (Windows 7) without a problem. This week, on two separate occasions, I have been flying along with the GPS_400_1 unit working fine, when the GPS screen suddenly displays "GPS is not responding. Check GPS antenna". What!? I have never seen this one before. Has something gone wrong with the Garmin trainer software? The map seems to stop working, and I have to disconnect autopilot and fly manually - but then the radios seem to be stuck (cannot change frequencies). Very bizarre, and would welcome any insights from anyone who has come across this error message.

	Thanks,

Hello, I just bought the GNS 530 for P3D V5. Everything installed well, and the panel installed into A2A Comanche and runs well.

But I cannot power up the trainer. The program runs, but clicking on the power-up button results in nothing happening. Any advice appreciated.
