RXP GNS 530W/430W V2

Recently purchased the 530 over the weekend for FSX, I've been using both the 430 for several years with no issues, and the 650 since it came out. I did know that Norton will initially block or quarantine a number of files associated with these legacy Garmin units, but I attempted to install with everything turned off, and also made exceptions in the anti-virus associated with folders the files are located. Still no luck getting it to work, though the other units still continue to work after several attempts to reinstall the software. But the 530 does show up within the Configuration tool, along with the 430 as usual. I'm wondering if certain critical 530 files are still …

I just bought the GNS 530 and 430 from Realsimgear which directed me to Xp reality GNS 530 and 430. So I bought the 2 software but once installed the database is from 2009 I saw several tutorials to update them but impossible to do, I looked at the one of the GTN 750 but I do not have the same files So how I can do to update the GNS 530 and 430 otherwise they won't really help me even if it's for Prepar3D being PPL(A) I need the Airacs up to date and even be able to regularly update the data Do you have a way to update with recent data as $100 for nothing !!!! plus realsimgear's $800 !!!!! hey guys, I bought the RXP 750 and love it!! But I also bought the 530 and during the installation, and right after the trainer installed, I got this and it just sits there, it has been like 20 minutes. Do I cancel and try the installation again?? I don't want to mess anything up. Rob Comfort

Hello, I have an FSX configuration with Saitek radios programmed with SPAD & FSUIPC and the Reality XP GNS430 mounted on the A2A C172 panel. I would like to use some of the knobs/buttons on the Saitek radio to control the knobs (when navigating it, not just to change frequencies) and buttons of the GPS: - on/off - CDI - enter is it possible? cheers

Greetings! I am considering purchasing a Reality XP GNS. I use FSX:SE. Rather than replacing existing virtual cockpit panels, I am more interested in being able to bring a panel up as a 2D panel when the virtual cockpit is being by using a Shift+number key combination, like I do with default FSX panels. Is it possible?

When a flightplan is loaded and activated, autopilot is activated, the aircraft will follow an input compass heading but when Nav is activated it changes direction to 360 degrees no matter what the flightplan waypoint heading is in the flightplan. P3D v5.1, windows 10 and the aircraft is Aerosoft's Twin Otter Extended. I have tried different settings in configuration, the instrument GPS is activated, the on-board instrument is blank. The most recent update (received today) is installed. I obviously have an incorrect setting somewhere but can't locate it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Realityxp. For the panel guru's lurking around here, can you please help me? I installed the Realair Legacy yesterday (P3D v4), using the installer I freshly downloaded from the Realair site. I installed the aircraft in the default P3D v4 addon folder. Upon entering the config app I saw it offered me the opportunity to configure the panel with only the f1 GTN units (which struck me as odd, because I remember the only configurable GPS units were those you have actually installed and I do not have the f1 GTN on my system, only the RXP GTN). When configuring the panel I could easily swap the f1 GTN with the RXP GTN, so no problem here. However I have completely forgotten how to ge…

Hello folks Trying to get my GNS 530 working on the Alabeo M20 Lite for P3D v5. Have the latest version of the GNS 530 and trainer. I tried to put the "power source" on "Always on" but I only get a blank screen. Any other recommendations?. Thanks

I have been using the Beech Baron with regular King radios in FSX. I was able to finally get it to work so I bought a new Windows 10 computer with a 27 inch screen. I uninstalled the reality-xp from my laptop and installed it in the new computer. As I set it up it initially worked, but when I went back in to tweak the settings I would click on add ons with reality-xp and a window would open and then stay black and never respond. I would have to reboot my computer and then come back in. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it and after a whole evening of doing this it said invalid license contact the vendor to make it work. This is the closest that I can …

Hello all, I have been running Reality XP GNS 530 for quite some time now . I use it with FS9 on a laptop, update it as needed, no problems. I had success with FSX-SE with Windows 10 except that when I want to update it, I get the message "An error occured in retrieving update information; are you connected to the internet? but the connection is fine. I did some research and tried different options but no success. Not sure if it was a previous Windows 10 update that created this snag or a firewall issue. Any advice would be welcome.

I have twin 530s installed in the Carenado B200. Nav 1 left and nav 2 right with nav one windowed. They will not steer the aircraft on autopilot. I have used the settings correctly but that ap is getting no input on gps or VOR. Anyone else experience this with that aircraft?

I have some low and slow aircraft that are always setting off the Terrain Proximity/TAWS warning. It is distracting having to Clear or Inhibit Terrain while hand flying tight valleys and hills. Is there a way to edit the .ini file to permanently disable this feature? If so, how should it be worded?

I read a post in another forum about a gauge packaged in the GNS-430 file called the GPS-400 which is a GPS only navigator similar the Bendix's KLN-94. I do recall seeing it in the panel Assistant drop down but in aircraft that have a basic KLN-94 type gps there is no auto detect for the assistant to find and replace it with a GPS-400. How could I use the Assistant to install that and without it how can I find the exact GPS-400 gauge identity to do it manually? Thanks.

I manually input a flightplan into my Reality XP GNS 530 and select activate. The plan shows in the 530 but the aircraft does not respond to it. The GPS button is activated. Am using P3D 5.1 and the aircraft is the Aerosoft Twin Otter extended. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Martin

I have messed up my dual RXP GNS430s (Carenado A36 in P3D 4.5) in a re-installation. The RealsimGear 430 is working and buttons are addressing the COM2 unit. I need COM1 to be the primary unit that the RealsimGear hardware is linked to as I fly the A36 because it has an Aspen PFD (the same as in my RW aircraft) which needs to take GPS info from COM1. How and where do I change the settings so the RSG 430 talks to the 430 COM1 unit? I've been through the config files but can't find an answer. Help would be much appreciated! Thanks.

Hello all Is there a way to install it on a DC-6 .....I used the pull-down menu option installs but inside the default GNS screen and never works.......Also not activated to be selected at the PMDG options menu? kindly help..... Does anyone know if Carenado's V-tail Bonanza can nicely mount the RXP GNS 430? It comes with basic Carenado GNS 430 but I wonder if the bezel texturing will work with RXP because the description doesn't specify. Thanks

Installed the GNS 530 and GNS 430 into the A2A 172 and the knobs don’t turn and the buttons don’t depress in the Virtual Cockpit but they function just fine and do what they are supposed to. They turn and depress in the pop up window. I’ve read the manual and played with the config but no joy in the Virtual Cockpit. Installed into FSX Steam. Is this normal or did I miss something? Any help is greatly appreciated. Jon

I am getting the "invalid FPL wpt{s} locked verify FPL before use" message when I import flightplans from SkyVector. What is the work-around for this? I have looked in the Garmin Pilot's Guide but no joy.

I decided to install the Milviz C310R and the GNS on the laptop too. It was working perfectly on P3D v4.5+ in the desktop. Installing it again on the laptop running FSX Steam turned out to be a big mistake. I had forgotten how to set-up GNS on the desktop. I must have been lucky installing it on the desktop because now I can't get the GNS to work on the laptop. I tried to remember how I did it on the desktop by going through the settings and now both are messed up. Either the 530 or the 430 would show up but not both. The Milviz C310 Redux can accommodate both the 530 and the 430. In setting up the GNS, what value should I select under these fields? Window03 …

So, I installed GNS 530 in the Friendly Panels Aspen Avionics Baron 58. A Very Nice Avionics suit for what is essentially a default aircraft. Following a 4 waypoint flightplan from KSEG to KABE over eastern Pennsylvania. Works well. I also installed GNS 430 in the Moony Bravo Meggitt avionics suit. Have yet to test fly it but the install went well. I have twin 530s in my Carenado B200 King Air. I will test it when I have time for a longer flight.

The only downside to the amazing RealityXP products is their dependence on the Garmin database. So my wishlist item is that some day the product developers will consider getting away from Garmin and start using the flightsim data directly. If the default gps in the flight sim (FSX or P3D) can work with the flightsimdata then why can RealityXP be made to do it. I am real-life instrument pilot and find it quite frustrating when I find that the gps does not show the latest data. Pramod

Hi everyone. I have changed my PC, before I was working on a LapTop which I will inherit to my son and for this I have already formatted it. But I made a backup of my entire simulator to install it on the new PC. When reinstalling the GNS530 everything is perfect, use the reinstall option, it installs without problems but once inside the simulator I check the panels where the GNS already had installed and it does not appear, with right click the option of Reality XP appears but not does nothing, try to install it as a pop-up window in a default plane and the window does not appear and in the panels where it was installed it does not show, it only shows in b…

I'm using Reality XP 430W in conjunction with Carenado F33A and Flight Manager and XPilot/VATSIM. Everything works just fine, except I'm not seeing the TX and RX indications on the 430 when I transmit and receive. They are showing up in just fine in XPilot. Any ideas? Cheers, Eric

I know the panel Assistant automatically locates GNS type gauges in a panel. Does that function even include non-navcom gauges that are gps only such as the FS Default gps 500 or any of the kln-94 style gauges? Also, does it adjust the size and positioning of gauges around the area? Thanks.
