RXP GNS 530W/430W V2

Is it possible to install the 430W on both Sim Environments P3D/FSX and X-Plane in the same time without any special steps? Of course assuming both a licensed.

Hello, I'm returning from a long time off of flight sim, i have the GNSS 430/530, however, it is out date, how can I update it ? Anyone have the charts/fixes updated that can send me ?

I installed the latest Reality XP update which apparently included a database update for the Garmin 430/530. The update said it would configure "aviation DB 1607 via GNSDBFILE env. var." There are now many airports missing from this version, and I cannot seem to go back to the earlier version I had (2015) which had all airports. I have replaced the BMAP.bin and worldwide.bin files in the Garmin/GNS trainer/GNS/db folder with my original BMAP and worldwide bin files, but it makes no difference. Has anyone else run into this problem? I'm wondering if there is some other file that is causing this, and if so how I can get back to my older database.

hi all, just bought the realityxp gns430 so i can do the egnos rnav approaches into the airports i fly into in real life for practice. im having a real hard time getting this sorted, i installed the product and configure the gauges and cockpit pop up windows with the gns430 and i start the aircraft up and black screen on both the gauge and pop up window for the gns430!!!! i hope i have installed it correctly or its something else. would really appreciate the help :)

Hello again, I had to reorganize some files in my computer and reinstalled FS9 with RXP GNS 530, but now, the A/P system in NAV mode won't track a GPS course/approach either with a FS9 or add-ons aircraft. Here is some findings; In the configuration panel/panel instruments, all the options are checked in. -By leaving the CDI button of the RXP GNS set to VLOC, the A/P system in NAV mode will intercept & track the localizer and/or ILS accurately. -With the CDI button of the RXP GNS set to GPS, and steering the aircraft with the A/P system in HDG mode, the CDI of the HSI deflect as expected. Hello, So I dusted off the simulator finally, and finally installed my Ruscool RNS530. I went and purchased the Reality XP GNS530 & 430 software and installed it. My simulator is still running Windows XP and FS9; is there any way I can get the GNS software to work in my setup, I'm willing to manually do all the grind work... I have already attempted manually editing the .xml files to omit the (x86) from program files pathways but I'm still missing some steps as it's not working. I have a few Dreamfleet aircraft and primarily use the Piper Dakota. System is WinXP, SP3 and FS2004 (9.1) The aircraft were designed with the RealityXP gauges and GNS430 units. Is the new RXP GNS 430W V2 a direct replacement for this aircraft? The original Dakota has a database of 8 Aug 02 and is non WAAS (V3.0) Will the new GPS work, is it an easy installation?

Good day to everyone, I'm searching for help to make the NAV/GPS switch on the Duke Turbine panel to operate. It is stuck, and I can't toggle it. I have the simpler GPS 500W [not the GNS 530] merged in the Turbine Panel and it is working fine but I'm stuck with GPS cannot go back to VLOC/ VOR navigation. I am new to this and have read alot of forum posts and many of the posts are a bit above my pay grade and confusing. Here is my problem I have Little Nav Map which is fantastic. I enter a F-Plan I get no errors. I load up Prepare v5 and the A2A Bonanza with the RealityXP 530. All is good so far. I go to Flight Plan in the 530 and load my correctly saved Flight Plan (from the correct format and location) and it loads fine no errors all is still good. Hi,I have 2 Elite GNS430W modules. I can not get them to communicate to Reality XP GNS 430W™ V2 (FltSim) Software. Everything seems to install Fine in Fight Sim X Steam. I have both Elite and Reality XP show up on Add-ons and the Reality XP GPS shows up in my aircraft . But no buttons work with the modules. I'm concerned that it might have to do with Windows 10. And Elite not being able to find the RXPGNS.INI file. The installation manual directions apply to Vista or Windows 7 OS, not Windows 10. Is there a work around? I spent quite a bit on these modules. Please help!!!

Is there a way to modify the illumination in the virtual cockpit? I modified the panel.cfg to have in my PA34 (carenado) a GNS430 and a GTN650. Looks quite ok for my during day. But flying during night is a pain as the Reality XP devices are not lit on the panel. Is there a fix, or modification? I found that there is a lights section in aircraft.cfg but no idea how to start actually. thanks already! SJ

Hi all Just a simple question: I sit possible to turn off/on waypoints on screen? It would have been nice to choose to show all waypoints, or turn them off. Not talking about waypoints showing during flying a flightplan. Regards Richard

I notice that in both the 530 / 430, rivers tend to show up incorrectly, as in that they often don't tally up with what P3D map shows, or as shown in skyvector for example. Anyone else seen this too?

I had reverted the database to point to the older version so that I may load smaller airports, as per instruction found in this forum. It all works fine, but whenever the GNS is first loaded (example at AYPY in PNG, or whichever other PNG airports), there would always a MSG from the GNS that says "FPL Waypoint is locked". Why is that, and does it affect anything? Edit - This only happens in the 430. The 530 loads up fine with no such message.

I purchased RXP GNS 430, GNS 530 and GTN 750 the past couple of weeks and they all work fine (in the P3D V5 H2). However, both the GNS 430 and 530 seem to cause the NAV Ident Morse Code sound to stop working. For example, I installed the 430 into A2A T6, and the 530 into A2A Comanche. In both instances, the NAV Ident stops giving the morse code sound. But once the GPS unit is turned off, the NAV Ident works again. Both the 430 and 530 were installed as GNS Unit #1 respectively in the T6 and Comanche, and set to COMM 1 and NAV 1. The GTN 750 is also installed in the T6 and Comanche, as Unit #2, and set to COMM 2 and NAV 2. Hope to have some advice on this. T…

I am trying to use the GNS 530/430 in the Milviz PC-6 in Prepar3D v4 but continue to have a lot of issues with it. I have had this gauge since June 2020, and used it without any trouble at all in the A2A light singles, plug-and-play, dead simple. I keep the gauge updated, most recent version is "rxpGNS2-FSIM-Setup 2.4.21.5" which still works fine in the A2A planes. I've been trawling the forums and the user guide and got to the point where I could get the knobs and buttons to respond in the VC, and was able to SHIFT+ right click on the bezel to do some configuring. Hi Folks, I am new to the RXP GNS 530. I've successfully installed it into XP11, and love it for the extra functionality. I'm not new to FS and have used the default GPS for years. But the GNS 530 doesn't show all the airports I'd like in a FPL. It just says they're not there. Seems to be the smaller airports in XP11. Go back to the default and I can create the FPL no problem. Hi all. Is there a place to buy a newer version of the NavData database? I think of the Europe version of the International version that don't have the limits of airports wioth runway longer than 4000 feet. I looked into Garmin homepage, but i needed a serialnumber, on the GNS530 and so on, so no luck there. Tried Jeppesen, but not easy to navigate on those pages. Regards Richard

What databases does the GNS 530 use and where are they? In may just be a coincidence, but I recently updated to the latest GTN750 and new Garmin Trainer, which all works fine. However, I now find I can't load a plane (both P3Dv4 and P3Dv5 hang) that uses the GNS 530, thus my question about the GNS 530 databases. I tried reinstalling the latest version of the GNS 530 but the problem persists. Thanks for any ideas. Al

Could I ask please for confirmation as to whether GNS 530W v2 does or does not run on Windows XP OS? Page 3 from the v2 manual states not; Reality XP GNS V2 User's Manual (FltSim) (100megabyte.com) However, a web page for "System Requirements" (GNS 530W XP: System requirements - Reality XP Simulation (reality-xp.com) mentions WIndows XP service pack 2 as being suitable. Hi All, I am having some trouble with the Milviz Turbo Otter in P3DV5. For some reason the buttons on the GPS in VC are not functioning. The rotary knobs work and I'm able to change NAV/COM freqs and change pages. Buttons like ENT, MENU, Direct to, CDI, OBS, FPL etc are not working. I just cant work it out. If I bring the windows shift+4 and shift+5 they are all working there.
