RXP GPS not showing all airports in FPL (resolved)

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

I am new to the RXP GNS 530. I've successfully installed it into XP11, and love it for the extra functionality. I'm not new to FS and have used the default GPS for years. But the GNS 530 doesn't show all the airports I'd like in a FPL. It just says they're not there. Seems to be the smaller airports in XP11. Go back to the default and I can create the FPL no problem. Am I missing something here?

Thanks,

Mawingo

Hi,

I'm sorry for the delay but I'm not sure whether it is a question for the GNS in XP11 or P3D/FS?

Hi

The GNS530 comes with an older NAV database, and in that version airports with runways shorter than 4000 feet is not implemented. That is for the WORLDWIDE.BIN  file who contains the entire world. If you van get hand of a new databasefile, that contains onlye a region that you fly in, example, USA, Europe etc, then alle airport in that region is implemented.

The reason Jeppesen did not include "all" airports, is that the file got bigger than the Real Garmin GNS 530 could take.
