  4. Hi, I added a video to my Reality XP "series" I am doing. This covers adding it as the Number 2 Unit. Particularly focused on using it in an external "controller" and the steps needed to get it responding correctly. I will add a "flight video" and then further expand on how I "program" (assign/map) the custom controller interface via SPAD.NEXT. Hope this helps others since there are a couple of items you have to do manually -- like edit the GNS INI file and then edit the Panel Config file.....plus for physical interfaces understand the "bit" structure in the commands and assign that to the interface software.

  5. This is a tutorial on how to set up the GNS 530v2 to work with your Emuteq Garsim 530 hardware. I have the Realair Turbine Duke configured with the Emuteq and it works perfectly. This is the process I used to install it which is slightly different to the original install instructions from Emuteq. First, when P3D detects the presence of the Garsim530, it treats it as another controller. It assigns keystrokes to it, so you must go into the P3D Controller settings and delete all keystrokes assigned to the Garsim530. If you don't do this, when you twist a knob or push a button on the Garsim530, the view may change or the gear may toggle etc. …

  6. OK. So RXP in v2 of its Garmin GNS series has provided the function to import flight plans that conform to the Garmin .flt file specification. Great! I am using that function to populate my most-often used flight plans into the v2 GNS gauges. My routine is to thoroughly plan each flight using a real world flight planning site that can enrich the experience with real weather including winds aloft. The addition of the RXP .flt plan import simplifies the process as now I can complete my flight planning, create the .flt file, and easily import it into my RXP GNS. That eliminates the need to enter the plan a navpoint at a time before flying. I have gained experience with th…

  7. I'm pleased to announce the Reality XP GNS V2 for Flight Sim is now available! We're proud to offer you the same level of quality for the entire Prepar3d, Flight Simulator and X-Plane platforms! Both products also come super-charged with tons of customization options for panel integration, hardware interface and keyboard shortcuts. They also now offer custom variables to help integration with third party XML gauges with our GPS. I also know we ar…

  8. After 8 years of using Reality XP, I had never been able to properly execute an LPV, LNAV, RNP, or GPS approach… until today, when I finally found a configuration that works. Over time, I realized that, in the market of single-engine and twin-engine aircraft for X-Plane and MSFS, some planes fully support these approaches, while others do not handle them correctly. For example, the Milviz Cessna 310 does not fully follow the LPV approach: it captures the lateral path, and the glide path is detected, but the autopilot does not follow it due to its internal logic (KAP 140 type). Thanks to analysis and guidance from artificial intelligence, I was able to bette…

Hi I use RXP 430W V2 with Prepar3D V3, updated with the most recent Jeppesen database from my realworld Jepp subscription (I am a private pilot). What I do not understand is why RXP 430W only sees RNAV approaches as "LNAV" while an "LPV" approach is available. Problem happens for example on European airports (LFPN, LFLA) while it seems to work normaly on an US airport (KHAO) with the same software and same database! Could the be a link with a pb of almanach data? Thanks

  10. Hello, I just discovered the checklist function (AUX2>Checklist) on the GNS 530 but of course creating a full checklist on the device is a bit tedious. Where is this information stored? Is there a way to create a checklist as a file and load it on the device? Or is there a tool for this to make checklist creation faster and easier?

  11. I've encountered an error when updating my database. I run X-Plane 12, Reality XP GNS 430W and the RealSimGear GNS430 Hardware Device with two G5s. My last working database update was to cycle 2413. This week I tried to update to cycle 2503, but I get an error and the GPSs don't initialize. Hi all, I use the GNS 530 MOD from GitHub with the twin otter DHC-6. I have seen a button in the direct-to tab in videos on YouTube that allows you to use your keyboard to enter the new waypoint. But that does not appear in my gns 530, so I always have to use the button to write the new waypoint; honestly, it's annoying. Any Idea? Regards, J

Hi, I´m using Fligt Simulator X Steam Edition on Windows 10. The Simulator works fine. I have puchased the RealityXP GNS package. The installtion went well - no errors. When I start the configuration for a aircraft the dialog for the configuration apears and the configuration also works well. After the configuration the menu entry for the RealityXP GNS also appears in the cockpit configuration of the aircraft. But when I activate it there seems to be a short flickering on the screen like someting aperas, but the GNS is not showing. I checked a lot of forums and the manual but didn´t find a solution.

  16. Reading the manual as ever, I see the line PRESS AND HOLD THE SHIFT KEY THEN RIGHT CLICK THE TOP EDGE Not unexpectedly, this does nothing but bring up the default P3d view menu. I know the settings are SAVED in the ini file but how do I create them in the first place when I cannot start the 'wizard' from the plane? IMO this option screen should have been located also in the RXP menu so that you can always access it. At the moment I'm using a Lancair Legacy with one 530 in it. Looks fine but cant ASSIGN most GPS functions due to not being able to access the above applet and the dials are hellish to turn need activate legacy controls also.

  17. I ran across this download the other day and wondered if it would be of use to update my GNS530? I was afraid it might mess up my 530 if it wasn't compatible. Thanks in advance!

I have this issue with both GTN and GNS, but I'm posting here because the GNS is the unit that is currently installed on the plane. Ok, Alabeo Saratoga TC P3D5. When I enter a flightplan or just a Direct To leg, the CDI is in GPS mode, when I hit NAV, the AP will turn due North and continue in that direction. As I said, this is with the GTN unit and the GNS unit, I'm using HDG mode to get to the path and no matter where I'm at in relation to it, either on it, just left or just right, hit the NAV button and it turns to 360/00 Degrees, due North. I installed the GNS using the Alabeo/Carenado installer and then adding the unit(s) with the RXP installer in …

Installed the GNS V2 in P3Dv4. Configured several planes, all with the same result. Unit 1 does not display aviation data, just the land outlines, otherwise works as it should. When I configure a second unit, it displays aviation data normally.

I attempted to contact you through your contact support form. After filling everything out I get the message that your form submitting process has gone unserviceable. During the install process near the end it froze. I have a key. I tried to do a reinstall first using the key and when validating the PW (last 4 digits of my CCard your install program tells me the password is invalid. I am then instructed to contact support. Which I attempt to do so - see first line of this post. So, I try the other way and no joy getting it reinstalled that way.. Firewall and VPN are paused. So, I have no idea how to proceed now. I await your response. On this…
