RXP GNS 530W/430W V2

I have the GNS530 that comes bundled with the Carenado 210. I'm trying to tune the VOR using the popup window (SHIFT+1) using the knob bottom left. The knob successfully toggles between com and nav but will not alter the frequency. The Virtual Cockpit GPS DOES however do this . What am I doing wrong ? Tim

I have just purchased the GNS2-430 to try out in my FS2004 installation (I have all the old legacy RXP gauges). The installation proceeded without incident, and I did a test install via the Configuration utility for a pop-up window of the GNS430 in the default Cessna. The unit appears but it has no power - the main screen is black. The power button does not appear to work. I then exited FS9 and found the Garmin trainer (C:\Program Files (x86)\Garmin\GNS Trainer\GNS) and launched the G530SIM.EXE file. Again, the software works, but the trainer unit is not powering on. I am a real world Private IFR Pilot and am happily using V1 of the 530W software with an Emuteq in FSX (running Windows 7 Pro) and am considering upgrading to V2 (for practicing approaches). I have a few questions, I was hoping someone could help me with. do you need to uninstall V1 first or can (V1 and V2) run together what about the panel mods I had to make in V1. Setup: Windows 7 P3Dv3 A2A Cherokee 180 RXP2 GNS430 I've got the 430 nicely integrated into the panel and as a popup. Also, I know that it is correctly controlling COM1. However, I can't get it to consistently control the CDI. I've messed around with RealityXP.GNS.ini and the shift-right click menu for a couple of hours now. One time, the CDI head started working, but only with the GNS430 in GPS mode on the CDI. Then that stopped working after a restart. Hello, I (possibly unwisely) purchased the V2 GNS 430, taking advantage of the sale, without doing the necessary homework, with a view to also getting the 530 if all went well. Unfortunately, it hasn't. Now I find that I can't install it into any of my RealAir aircraft, which would be the most important ones, along with a some Carenado aircraft. RealAir doesn't see the RXP GPS unit as being installed at all, and greys out all of its options. I know I can get a refund, but before going down that road I'd like to see if there is a solution for this, or if the license for the 430 V2 will cover the legacy model also, which I'd be quite happy with. Help, I had a perfectly good working gns v2 working and in the process of trying to get the gtn working I somehow broke the gns. I don't even see the rxp item in the menu of P3D anymore. This aint happening. LouP

It will be awesome if RealityXP can provide tech support on their own website or platform. I don't think it is fair to purchase a piece of software and then getting support else where. RealityXP should have direct control over on how software related information and contents are begin managed. me wishful thinking again?

Jean-Luc, Can you update on RXP - A2A coordination or support for RXP V2 products? On the A2A forums there are efforts to encourage coordination between the two companies.

There was some discussion of this subject in Orlaam's topic on lateral tracking issues with the A2A S-TEC 30 autopilot, but as this is a separate issue I've started this thread to avoid confusion. The problem I encountered was the A2A KAP 140 autopilot simulation failing to follow vertical guidance from the GNS 530 for approaches such as LPV and LNAV+V procedures. I have been away a long long time. Years. Was wondering if now P3D V4 + the new GNS 530/430 stuff is working with Carenado that came with the integrated RXP feature? Just flip it on like the old days and now the plane has a working 3D modelled GNS 530? or whatever the Carenado model had? Please advise Charles.

Hi, I've just purchased and installed the 530 V2 and I'm running P3D V4.1. I've configured Carenado B1900D by running Carenado's RXP530 installer. However, the 530 doesnt turn up and the screen remains blank. Can anyone help? Regards, Edward

Is the current v 2.3.5 expected to operate with P3DV4.1? Please forgive if this has been addressed. I looked through the forum but didn't see any discussion. In any case, I had v2.3.5 G530/G430 operating without issue in P3DV4.0. I wasn't in a hurry to update to v4.1, however, it became necessary to accommodate unrelated (A2A) software. Now, none of my P3Dv4.1 aircraft are able to operate the RXP G530/G430 v2.3.5. My FSX RXP G530/G430 v2.3.5 aircraft operate without issue. I have Win10/64 on one drive for P3DV4.1 and Win7/64 on another drive for FSX. Many thanks / Les Parson

I just wanted to let everyone know, if they don't know, that the Emuteq Garsim GNS 530 works beautifully with this new version of the RXP GNS 530. Every bit as good as it worked in FSX/9. Great to have it back - haven't flown an airliner since the release! David

OK, here's my dumb question of the day. With the old V1 430/530 I used to be able to click on the screen in the panel and get a popup display. I've installed the new 530 in the Carenado 337 (with no issues whatsoever), but I can't figure out how to get a popup when needed. Scott

Hi, This morning I buyed/downloaded the GNS530v2. the process started with a warning that the file was hardly used and a Win Defender warning about a Win32/AZDEN/ trojan. As I found out that I had already a downloaded copy(from 28/10/17) on my pc of rxpGNS2-FSIM(2.3.5) (zip 44.753.788 / 28/10/17) I continued the installing process with this exe file. The file was executed but couldnot be extracted to C/RXP due to an error 0(zero) and error 52 with the next attempt. What to do to solve this? Hans

Hi Folks, RE: rxpGNS2-FSIM (2.3.5) Just getting started with the GNS530 V2 - installed the package - which includes the Garmin Trainer software... So far all good - just like old times - however when I use the nifty new configuration tool in the addon menu - when I try to swap out a gauge and I hit "SAVE" - P3D crashes... If I start the sim over and select the same plane P3D crashes... If I restore the original panel.cfg P3D will run normally again... I started the stand alone Garmin Trainer software that we all know so well - however - when I push the "on" knob the unit doesn't power up...
