RXP GNS 530W/430W V2

  1. Started by Les Parson,

Is it possible to power units on/off at the power buttons on the face of the units? The menu selections seem to offer either battery or avionics bus. However, on page 12 of the manual - Custom Commands provides "PWR_PUSH_1/2". My desire is to have the ability to power on/off from the face just like v1 in FSX. I added the PWR_PUSH entry into the RXP CFG file, but that didn't work . Can you expand on the Custom Commands?

Hi, Is there a way to export the currently loaded flight plan to a .pln file format? I recall in the legacy version you would right click on the FPL button and get a double beep and it would create a .pln file. Reason is I would like to load filght plans into ASP4. Thank you

Hi guys, recently i installed my RealityXP GNS430 to be used on Carenado Kingair C90b. Everything is running nice except to the HSI CDI Couple to GPS. So, when i press direct-to on RealityXP 430W Unit, the GPS works nice, and i can see the magenta line but my HSI can´t "merge" with magenta line. I remebered that in a previous RXP version, there was a Windows Start menu folder where i could set my aircarft GPS settings. I read the HELP and it says that the menu shortcut is hold Shift + right click on top edge os GPS unit, i did it but nothing happens! I need to set up the Connect GPS to HSI and Connect GPS/CRS output. Also, my aircraft folder does…

Since the GNS530/430 has the option to show weather and lightening strikes, is this something that can be added to these units? Similar to the overlay suggestion for the GTN units?

  8. The first time I installed the v2 GNS 530 into P3dv4 everything worked fine and my Goflight module worked all the GNS buttons, etc. perfectly for about three weeks. Then the screen on the GNS went blank. I uninstalled and reinstalled the GNS and all appeared fine, except now the Goflight module now won't control the GNS unit. However, the Goflight does control the default gps. I restarted the computer, but still no Goflight connection. Anyone have any ideas to fix this?

Hi-several days ago, the GNS 530v2 screen went blank, both in panel and VC. The Garmin trainer is installed. I uninstalled, reinstalled and updated. Still no screen. The unit turns on and off and the knobs work. Default GNS works fine.

I have installed GNS 530/430 V2 for both P3DV4 and FSX. Prior to the FSX installation, I un-installed the legacy RXP version and associated Garmin trainer. The V2 installation was flawless; however, during the process I've lost the legacy RXP G327 Transponder. How can i re-install just the GTX327 for FSX? Thanks / Les Parson

  12. Hi, not having any luck with the product. Please help. NEW Computer with Win 10 - Prepar3d Ver 3.4, FSX All work perfectly without Reality XP. With Reality XP Ver 2.3.3.0 installed, I get NO 'add-ons' dropdown menu. There is no evidence in Panel.cfg that a backup of the original panel.cfg file has been made. There is no RXPGNS2.dll shown in gauges. Reality XP is located in drive C:\RealityXP When I run the rxpGNS2-FSIM-Setup.exe, it recognises the location of P3D in Program files (X86)/Lockheed Martin\Prepar3d v3 and shows that the destination location as C:\Program Files (X86)Reality XP\GNS Simulation\FLTSim. I've been patiently waiting to see if there's backward comparability with older FSX airplanes equipped with the RXP GNS530/430. I want the GNS 430 on my L39 and GNS 530 on my Realair Duke v2 and I don't want to play with the panel configuration. I have several Carenado and Milviz planes that also use the original RXP gauges. Thanks. Jose

Having no luck controlling GNS using keyboard shortcuts. GNS windows starts with the sim and can be controlled fine using the mouse and on-screen buttons. Using the .ini file in the aircraft directory can control the bezel visibility, but no joy so far trying to control the GNS using keyboard shortcuts defined in Documents/Reality XP/GNS Simulation/FltSim/RealityXP.GNS.ini I wonder if I've missed something? Hi, A quick note to let you know about the upcoming update, hopefully in a few days! We've been hard at work, listening to many of your suggestions, and tried to implement a few of them. - Added 2 new per-instance settings to adjust the brightness of the bezel, and to offset the brightness of the screen independently. Some VC are not natively designed for the GNS V2 gauge, and these settings helps the gauge look and feel. "per-instance" means you can set these up for a gauge in the VC, set these up differently for another gauge in the VC, and again for any other popup window! It is quite flexible! - Added a 'scaling' option in the assistant when creati…

Up until I upgraded to P3D 4.1 today I was able to use the GNS530 as my FMS replacing a Proline on the Carenado CJ AP worked beautifully in Nav and approach mode with my flight plan and procedures Now that I applied the 4.1 patch the Nav mode on Autopilot doesn't work anymore - the plane just turns North in Nav mode rather than flight to the waypoints I know there's a RXP patch coming out for 4.1 - is this issue to be expected and will the patch fix something like this?

Does anybody have the panel.cfg setup for the Flysimware C402? I looked in the 'Official Panel Configuration Thread' but did not see an entry. I've used the RXP Wizard for several aircraft without issue but this one doesn't line up very well in the VC. I've tried manual and simple gauge substitution with default settings. Many thanks / Les Parson

Hi, a quick note to let you know P3D4 v4.1 update seems to be around the corner. The GNS V2 will require an update for the A/P to work, which we will issue right after official v4.1 release. All other functions should work as before though.

As the title states, I'm curious if the ability to link the GPS to the default GPS is still present with version 2. One of my favorite features of the RXP GNS was the ability to use the LinkGPS= entry to have the GNS output to the default flight planner. This would result in the RXP GNS flight plan being displayed on EHSI or EFIS instruments that used the default GPS/Flightplanner such as the EHSI in the Carenado King Air/B1900D. It also allowed one to use a GNS pop-up to control the numerous instances of G1000s that used the default GPS as their base. I looked all over but I couldn't find it documented anywhere in feature lists or otherwise.

Since P3DV4 comes with a Carenado A36, as default, it is tempting to equip it with dual RXP GSN430s V2. The best way I have found is to stick with the CAR430 model (do not run the RXP430 exe) and manually edit the panel.cfg file. Here is a panel.cfg file edit for you to try. BTW, if you want the Aspen unit to show the LPV glidepath, you'll need an Aspen update (which you can request via PM). //********************************************************* // CARENADO BONANZA A36 FSX // Copyright © Carenado 2011 - All Rights Reserved //********************************************************* [Window Titles] Window00=Main Window01=GPS …
