RXP GNS 530W/430W V2

When I initially installed V2 for P3D v4 (Windows 10), the program would keep hanging itself after installing the training software. I created exception in my AV software and during one attempt completely uninstalled the AV. I'm fairly certain that everything installed appropriately at that point. When I try to run the Config help program, it instantly crashes and gives me a "this program has stopped responding." I have created exceptions in the AV as well. The 530 seems to work as a separate window, but it is not integrating into Carenado commander or any other VC. Thanks! Brad T.

I figured I would see if the "Other Guys" GNS 530/430 units would install *trouble free* into simple Carenado and Alabeo aircraft VC's that *officially* support the old FSX version of the RXP 530/430 units... They will and do to a certain extent, however I had to do some major panel config editing to get the units to pop-up properly. When I did manage to get the "Other Guys" units to work as advertised, the VC displays were completely misaligned and looked terrible. On the Alabeo DA40 for example, it was so far off center that it looked like it was cutting off the display on the top 430 unit. I have access to the latest flash cycle for the 530/430 and I've been using them for YEARS with the old FSX version. However for some odd reason this version of the RXP v2 unit isn't using the standard Garmin trainer as I noticed something odd during installation after purchase, even though I had the basic trainer installed already, the one downloaded directly from the Garmin website, the RXP installer is using some different modified version. Is this correct? I am unable to use my cycle data as I was able to before, data that actually contains updated RNAV approaches that have been certified by the FAA since 2010.

I bought and Installed... went through the folder selection etc. and then All I see is a Menu subfolder added RealityXP and its subfolder Garmin GNS (Fltsim) wityh 2 items readme and PDF user manual. Then another subfolder for Updater which IF I select errors out. No Reality XP config popup I then try to reinstall.. and this time, it "realizes" that the trainer is alrerady installed and exists. Edited: I now unistall from control panel and then reinstall using the saved exe install file.. and even here is says the Demo is already installed and exits hurridly and now I have no Menu RealityXP

The Carenado JetProp comes with a GNS530/430 and G500 panel. I have replaced the native GNS530 with the RealityXP GNS530W. The G500 now displays information coming from the RXP 530W in the left (PFD) panel, but information coming from the native GNS530 in the right (MFD) panel. If, for example, I input a simple flightplan into the RXP 530W (like direct to KXYZ airport), the G500 PFD shows the appropriate course information corresponding to the current leg of the RXP 520W flightplan, but the G500 MFD displays another flightplan, specifically the flightplan that was in the native GNS530 before I replaced it. This is the default: ; selects the CPU running the trainer process: 1 to 32 ; 0: last core, -1: automatic. CpuAffinity = -1 Its not clear CpuAffinity = 0 means use the last core? and CpuAffinity = -1 means automatic? What is 1 to 32? I want to avoid using the the process 0 and 1. for a 4 core processor with HT. so 4 X 2 = 8 thread what should be my parameter? I have it as CpuAffinity = 0

Hi, i have installed RXP 530 for FSX, P3Dv3 and P3dv4 at the same time. And in the addon_cfg.xml for P3DV4, the link was to the "32" version folder, not the "64" (and of course, nothing was working. the addon was registered but no menu entry and no unit were available. i have corrected the file manually and now it's ok but i prefer to alert you about this issue. it's a real pleasure to have a gns in my sim, i have abandonned fsx for a long time ago and RXP GNS was missing me ;) So thank you for your job guys (and configurator is very easy to use)

I have noticed the lateral tracking is very unsteady. The plane will list from side to side between waypoints. This is maybe a 3-5 degree deviation back and forth, as if it never really stays on the path correctly. This is with the CDI/HSI slaved to GPS and GNS flight plan entered manually, not imported. It's not a weather-related anomaly either. Is anyone else noticing this problem? A2A Comanche, if that matters.

Bought, downloaded, and installed this morning into FSX, SP2, Acceleration. When I open add ons, click to configure 430, it closes the sim immediately to the task bar, nothing else happens. Waited for over an hour. Only box I have ticked for install is for FSX. Do I need all of them checked, or is this another bug to be worked out?

A quick question. I will, without a doubt, be getting the new V2 units. I currently have the old ones (and the unlimited pack) and will probably pick up the 530 followed by the 430 a few weeks later. In the interim, can the two versions coexist, or do I need to bite the bullet, remove the old units completely and replace everything all at once? Scott

Went though entire process but after selecting components to install (FSX and P3D v4) the screen for "Installing Please wait... (FltSim)" with a progress bar appears but after 14 mins there is no progress shown and screen seems hung. Pressing "Cancel" does nothing.

After some minor install issues I just wanted to report that I have had no problems at all with the GNS 530, which I installed in my Carenado C525 to replace the Proline21 as the Master FMS It works very well! I'm using the Desktop Aviator GNS 2670 switch panel hardware and was able to assign all the knobs and buttons (except the lower left knob will only change VHF not VOR freqs) Thank you!!

Hi, downloaded and installed, boot up P3D v4 (correctly installed the v4 version) although when I go Add On Menu - Reality XP - Set up aircraft, nothing happens. Under the error log in my documents I get '17/08/28 22:49:24.772 12196 ERROR] can't open Alabeo PA44 Seminole N428DG panel: path is empty" Unsure why its not finding the correct path, I have selected the correct directory for v4. Happens to every aircraft I try, repeats the error, get no pop up box. Will keep trying to fix, has anyone else had this issue? Thanks Have also reinstalled, no fix

I ORIGINALLY POSTED THIS IN THE "RXP Flight Sim (P3D I FSX) DIRECTORY. NOW MOVED TO HERE AS MORE APPROPRIATE. I purchased RealityXP's GNS530w/430w for FSX yesterday from Flight1, downloaded the software and installed. When I launched FSX running Carenado's Piper Malibu JetProp, the Add-On for RealityXP was right there as expected and I configured that aircraft to replace the native GNS 530/430s with the RXP gauges in the panel. The Add-On window seemed intuitive and easy to use. However, after running the RXP configuration, FSX re-launched, and the original 530 (I think, because it said "GNS 530" on the upper right corner) was still in the panel and the RXP 5…

Hi, Just purchased V2 as a previous user of RxP set for FSX and I'm having lots of troubles. It pretty much feels like a corrupted installation ! I have no click sounds, no animation when using knobs, and when trying to integrate with Carenado's aircrafts, the 3D model is horrible, nowhere like it used to be in FSX (flood lights for the unit in P3D V4 looks terrible)...... I understand this is probably an issue with carenado's MDL's and entries in Panel.CFG, however, I've tried to substitute the gauge name with the ones from the new version and no success ! All I get is the screen view inside the old default frame with no sounds, no animation. Please help …

Having issues with the Alabeo Ovation with the Reality XP 530W. There are two sets of Alabeo Ovation Planes one designed for the Reality XP 530, but I am assuming it is for the previous version. Tried both and the VCockpit doesn't work, Any ideas?

After a bit of testing, I began to experiment with changes in the configuration panel such as enabling the Ryan TCAD. Gday, Downloaded and installed the 430 and have had the 'update fail' during the install process. It mentioned check network connection etc. despite my internet test passing fine and being connected at the time. I had the windows defender/firewall all turned off for install with no change. As such i uninstalled and re-installed with the same result. Upon opening P3D all appears ok, i added it to the Mooney Bravo and it pops up ok, however it is a black screen and doesn't function at all. I wasn't able to get it to work, and was reluctant to play with settings and cause other problems. Any ideas on possible issues causing the update fail…
