Hello, maybe the topic haa already been raised in the past but I at least cannot anything to that extend and thus I am going to raise it now. In the Fcom manual I cannot find the answer for my question which is; How and where can I set my Landing Altitude in the Boeing 747-400/800????? Hope someone can provide the answer and for which my advanced thanks. Dirk

HI I have just change to prep3d V4 and install 737 and 747 . And everthing works well for the 737 but in the 747 i dont have ailerons and elevator . I have searched through the manual and forums and I simply cannot find anywhere if there is a way to change the seating configuration of the 747-400 PAX (i.e. 4/3/2 class configurations). Apologies if this has been covered but after searching high an low I'm at a loss.

Hi everyone, Okay - so... I have recently started to dip into the abnormal procedures and getting some practice done on that (which is a lot of fun btw). Here is the scenario first. I do a medium fuel and normal payload takeoff with a properly loaded route and VNAV/LNAV profile loaded into the FMC as if I am flying a route. The aircraft is then setup to lose an engine at V1. So that part is easy enough, follow the engine out procedure, but now because of the medium fuel load, I am overweight and need to dump some fuel to get within landing parameters. So I had to the assigned fuel dumping area which is off the path of the magenta line obviously, so …

I have changed from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I cannot get either the PMDG 747 or the BAE Jetstream to show me how to download any liveries. The 737 has downloaded what I require. Can anyone assist please? Thank you

Hi all, I'd like to make a full reinstall of P3D to install the new version 4.4 and for this I wanted to unregister my PMDG products first. Unfortunately the 747 unregistering gives me this error: Operations error:7466 The return of the fulfillment is denied by the return policy because max return exceeded{ Incident#7462-173892] I indeed reinstalled them last week as I didn't thought P3Dv4.4 would be released in such a short frame time after that. I did not know there was a limit of unregistering, not really sure what's the point. How can I properly unregister my product please? 😊

Hello, since yesterday I'm a proud owner of the 747 for P3D. Everything works fine to me, but I have a problem with the thrust reveser. When I press and hold F2 after touchdown, engine 4 is active only - engine 1, 2 and 3 do nothing. In the options I can't find any key assignment to activate all engines via keyboard. I'm stupid or does it not exist in P3D? I'm coming from FSX. Thanks for any help. Best regards, Tobias Kroll

Hi, I've been looking for answers for a long time including the FCOM and several 747-8 pilots I know, but haven't received a clear answer: does the fact that the 747-8 has a fly-by-wire roll channel have any bearing on how the aircraft is flown? When I spent a few hours in the FFS, I didn't notice any control augmentation logic of note. It being FBW, would some elec/flight control computer failures degrade the controllability of the airplane in roll? More importantly, did PMDG somehow specifically model these FBW features?

Hi guys, first of all pardon me if it's all runs together but I use speech to text and don't always think about punctuation LOL. To the subject at hand, over the past couple of days I've been having a problem with my 747 - 8. I get set up at a gate at Heathrow, set my parking brake Go to the overhead turn on the APU and the nav lights when I see that the Apu is running I go down to the throttle quadrant to turn off the engines. Not working everything goes to being a hand as in doing something with it when I move away from where a hand should be I have to wait for it to become an arrow, whetherer I right click or left click it becomes a hand again I try to go up to the ove…

Has anyone attempted and had success with mapping a key to increasing or decreasing the heading select knob? My goal following doing that successfully would be to then map that key to one of the rocker switches on the Logi-Saitek yoke.

I did a long flight in the -8f today and during my decent I got three Eicas messages saying bleed HP eng 1,3, and 4. This is the first failure I’ve gotten in the 8 I went to the QRH and know it says it’s caused by the hp bleed valve being closed when commanded open but just out of pure interest and curiosity wondered what is actually occurring in the engine that causes this. Hi guys, Just having a look at the recent flight plans for the Australia - South America flights, and almost all of the seem to have this unusual flight level profile planned: 310 - 330 - 310 - 330 -310 - 350 - 370 - 360 - 390 (see below). Some other examples are 310 - 330 - 350 - 330 - 310 - 330 - 350 - 370 It seems like a lot of bobbing around, and unfortunately, it is pretty difficult to confrim if the aircraft actually does this on its route due to the lack of FR24 coverage etc. It doesn't seem to. I am wondering if it is planned this way for any particular reason - the only one I can think of is fuel freezing as this doesn't …

Hi guys just a quick random question - I had to perform an auto land due to weather conditions and it did it perfect however I’ve done several landings to check and all seem to be about -235fpm on autoland compared to the 777 which lands a lot softer is there a reason or is it all down to weights not a problem just curious

Hi all, I've been experiencing horrible FPS in both the inside and outside views in the QOTSII. After all of the systems initialize, my FPS goes through the floor, averaging about 2-6 FPS. All other PMDG aircraft I have do not experience any of these problems, and I'm consistently running around 40-45 FPS in the 737 and 777. Does anyone know what may be causing this lag? I am using FSX:SE. Thanks

Hey Everyone, Noticing something strange here. As I look up right under the "Flights" menu in FSX I noticed a little white dot. I can expand this dot which stretches out to be a really distorted MCP. Can someone please tell me what this is? In window mode it has a title called "Light Sensor" Also I noticed during one flight that my 2d panels when I would open them such as the FMC are extremely dark. Not the CRT Screen but the actual FMS itself. Anything? Thanks everyone!

I do not know if anyone has mentioned this, but if using kg in the FMC and EFB, the WT & BALANCE value in the EFB for FUEL DENSITY (which should be in kg/l, shows up as 6.699 (i.e the lbs/gal US figure) when it should be 0.803. Using the "Read from Aircraft" button does however insert the correct value. Nevertheless for the sake of correctness, it would be nice to have this value set initially as 0.803, as at present it causes the fuel in each tank to show ridiculously high maximum figures until the button is pressed.
