PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies II

  1. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong. Trying to assign buttons and whether I'm assigning in P3D or FSUIPC the trim up works but trim down does not.

    Ok, not sure if this is possible. I have a 737 throttle quad from JetMax. For the 747, I have engines 1 and 2 mapped to throttle 1, and 3 and 4 mapped to throttle 2. All done through (payware version) fsuipc. The aforementioned throttles have separate reverse levers that are similar to the 737. Currently I have them set so when I activate them, after pulling the throttles to idle, they put the 747 engines in reverse. They are mapped to the default P3D command to reverse engines, F2 or F3 I believe with the opposite button mapped to stop full reverse when I close the levers.     Hello guys , Today i just bought the expensions for 747 so the 747-8 So when i am in the cockpit with chase plane i have no lag its smooth and when i change my views to outside its laging so hard Its when i bought the dash 8, it never happened to me before like with the 747-4 is someone had this problem before ??     Hi, I can't seem to find a good explanation on this. When I arm the LOC, FAC comes up on the PFD instead of LOC. I've read through the manual but there is no explanation that I could find. as a result, the aircraft descends to 2000 ft then levels of, so no Autoland. Maybe because I armed it too soon? I know on the 744, you can't arm the LOC till you are within range. Ok. I changed the option to correct loc crs to sim to ON and the glide slope was captured and I just did a Land 3 autoland. Not sure is that was the issue or if I was just engaging the LOC too early.

    When I load all required data in FMC I´m use to se the origin arpt in ND and in legs page. Now I get "Vector" as the first point. I have sel. SID and RWY. Also I can not see the arpt map in ND which I´m used to see when I fly in Europe. I´m no att KMSP for a short flight to KDEN. Please see added file for more info. I guess the solution is very simple but I need some help from some kind person in this forum.

  6. Hello together, it was discussed several times, but I couldn't find an appropriate solution and a deep analysis I didn't find as well. Disabling the penalty isn't really what I want. That's because I'm using FSPassengers, it's to be forced to proceed with the realistic procedures. For investigation I logged all events with FSUIPC and found following: B737: Beacon -> TOGGLE_BEACON_LIGHTS event appears, which is absolutely right. Basically it works with PMDG addon aircraft.     Hello guys, I have been enjoying the B747-400 a lot. It is a masterpiece. However, I have a problem with the brake accumulator pressure. Since last update the pressure decreases too fast, it does not survive flight preparation. From around 3000psi to almost 0psi in less than an hour. I have parking brake on all the time until there is not enough pressure and it is released. With hydraulics on it recovers full pressure but as soon as there is no hydraulic it starts going down again slowly. I have deleted my custom panel state and built again from your long stop panel state. Best regards. Miguelito de Lucas.

  8. So the first time I loaded the -8 it was at the default location (Eglin) and it loaded normally. I shifted its location to the cargo ramp at Huntsville (using the commercial add-on scenery) and it immediately crashed. Looking at the outside view the gear was retracted! I overrode crash detection, loaded it at KHSV again, shifted to an exterior view and watched as the gear extended, slewed it out into the middle of the ramp far from any other objects and only then was able to restore crash detection without having the sim immediately crash.     Last night I flew my new 747ERF from KPAE to KBOS, flight time little over 5hours non stop and the aircraft flew beautifully and all flight tests and controls tests went well. The aircraft descended and latched onto the ILS for 22L no problem, I disconnected the AP and manually flew from 1500ft to the runway, this is where I had the problem. The aircraft banked right uncommanded I scanned the EICAS and ENG 3 and 4 in yellow and I watched the guages wind down I kicked the rudder left to cancel out the YAW action of engines 1 and 2. Hello, Im at the gate with 20 minutes to go till top off and I've noticed that my hydraulics seem higher in temperature than the previous version when the outside temp was at the FSX standard of 15c. Hyd 1: 31 Hyd 2: 30 Hyd 3: 25 Hyd 4: 31 and they're all off. arent these temperatures kind of high for an OAT of 15c and pumps off? My bad, ECS temp was set to F. -Angelo Busato

    I've found in 747 FCOM 15.20.56.. explaining the event record button however, after pushing the button I get a fsx window for saving a flight and making it a default setup for future flights. Am I doing something wrong or is this some future update? Christopher Cook

    So even though I have it checked to remember my login so I don't have to keep doing it, every time I start up P3D, load up the 747-8 and click on the EFB/Terminal Charts, the Navigraph logon window pops up for me to sign in. It does not respect the check box to remember the application and login credentials. With my Android Navigraph Charts app it remembers my login with no issues. Has anyone run into this as well?

    Having trouble with the auto pilot not staying engaged. It keeps disengaging around 2 miles out from dep. I've not had this problem in the past. PMDG, send a message, said reinstall this plane for updates. So I uninstalled/reinstalled. Still not working. Anyone have a solution. I know the fms very well. I've had this plane back when I was using Steam. It may just be I'm missing a procedure. Thanks

    Hey, all! I don't think an answer was ever received, but are there any plans to bring the Dreamlifter (LCF) as an expansion to the QOTS II? AFAIK the old Dreamlifter was a model-only, no changes in flight dynamics expansion. Would love to see an updated Dreamlifter! (don't mean to beg haha)

    I noticed that in both 747s 400 and -8, the fuel flow decreases all the way to 0.6 on each engine even when N1 is at max. Approach, somewhere between 2.5 and 3.0. Fare, idle decreases to 0.8 to 1.0. Touchdown, full reverse, fuel flow goes to 0.6. I'm sorry but this is not normal. Any chance to look into this? Thanks Alfredo Hernandez

    Hi, what is the logic for usage of the res1 and res4 tanks in the 747-8? I am currently doing a flight and was expecting that fuel to be used, but it doesnt it seems... Have a hard time getting my head around this fuel logic /Niklas Eriksson

    I accidentally discovered recently that you can fly high altitudes with packs off without anny issues. No warning, no release of oxygen masks as in 747-400. Just the white text informing that packs is off.

    Hi, I have a problem with throttle lever engine # 3 on the B747-800. While all levers are in idle, # 3 lever moves to about 50% and stays there. I can NOT get it back to idle.     I notice if you forget a step in the check list sequence, you can,t move toward. For instance, I forgot to do the after takeoff checklist which includes GEAR UP. If you forgot that step and are on approach, you can, complete the approach or landing checklist as the after takeoff list is stuck and you can’t clear it because it is waiting for gear up. But gear is already up and now you want to lower it. The skip step function doesn’t work. Am I missing something. on the efb how come the “send data to FMC” is always blue and can’t be hit.
