ChasePlane Support

Recently, all my ChasePlane presets became distorted. They all became zoomed out too far requiring me to reset all preset views by changing the zoom level from 1 that worked fine for months to now anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5 to get back to normal depending on the aircraft and view. I have deleted and rebuilt my camera.cfg file and it made no difference still zoomed out way too far. I’m running the latest CP version with P3Dv4.5 and until yesterday all worked well and nothing that I know of was changed except CP might have updated to the latest experimental version. Kevin could you provide any advise or has anyone else experienced this? Thanks in advance Joe

CP version 1.1.81 via ORBX I have both P3D v4.5 and v5 installed. On v4 all is working ok. I reran simconnect on v5 but CP is not connecting. I noticed that when CP starts, it is reading the airplanes from both version 4 and 5

Orbx Central shows v1.1.69 installed in C:\Program Files\Parallel 42\ChasePlane . Uninstalling and reinstalling in Orbx Central fails to update (should be 1.1.78 S?) I've rerun transferring license to Orbx; message is "already installed" What can I do to get ChasePlane to load with P3D v5? BTW, there's no mention of this issue on any forum I've found so far.

I migrated Chaseplane to my ORBX account and when I start P3D V4.5 HF3 (version 4.5.14.34698) I get the message that P3D is not supported with this version of Chaseplane. Do I have to wait for an update of CP?

This is a minor problem. I'm more curious if other people are experiencing the same thing. In P3D v4 when I close down the simulator ChasePlane automatically exited some amount of seconds after P3D v4 closed down. With P3D v5 ChasePlane remains open and I have to close it manually. Anybody else having this problem or is it just me?

Chaseplane has started to close within 30 seconds after opening it. Using FSX with both the sim and chaseplane running as administrator. Both were fine last time I used them. Is there any known fixes for this? There's no error message or anything. Thanks.

Since I've installed P3D v5, Chaseplane has always closed with the error message "something unexpected happened". If anyone could help, I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi, I bought Chase Plane a while ago, and I've found that I prefer the default camera setup from the sim. However, I would like to create and use static cameras around the world. Is there any way to disable the interior & exterior aircraft views and simply use just static cameras? Thanks!

Hi everyone Bought ChasePlane back in 2016 but have never really used it until today when I decided to install it for P3Dv4.5. Manage to set the various cameras but there are a couple of things I don't know how to set up. How to pan inside flightdeck with Hat button and how to move righ/left up/down also in VC. I guess moving around is possible inside the VC using the camera interface, but is there any way that can be done by say asigning the keyboard arrows? Also how can configure my hat button to to pan around the VC. I do not use Track IR. Feedback much appreciated. Thanks Joaquin Blanco

hello, I read a post that is about two years old in which the user has issues with replay being extremely stuttery, and the answer is that once you go past v1.0, the issue will be fixed. do you guys have any updates on this by any chance?

I cant figure out a way to make the cycle views in specific order. For example i need to assign CTRL+2 to 3 views but i need to cycle with a specific order. I have tried to assign the key with the order i need, but it doesn't owrk I think that the order that they appear in the list is the cycle order. I cant drag and drop the cameras, so i need to erase all of them and put them in order?

Can I get a refund for ChasePlane? It no longer works. I am not jumping through hoops with central. I do not wish to deal with this “company”. 🤨

Whenever I press the middle button to pan around, the screen flickers for a millisecond and then goes back to normal. It sometimes happen when the button is released. I use ChasePlane and also run P3d V4.5. Any advise?

I have sent a request to reactivate my account but it says 24/48 hours to do so is there anyway of doing it faster? thanks

Hi I can no longer start chase plane I have moved my license to the ORBX thing, every thing has been working fine since then until tonight Now when I try and start chase plane is goes through the starting phase but then shuts is self down, before I can start P3d V4.5. It was working fine on the weekend, nothing has changed on my PC as the PC is not connected to the internet so no updates etc have been installed etc. It simply will not run any longer than a few seconds Please advise as this has effectively made my install of P3D useless as my view is now sitting in the back seat of the cockpit. Hello, This is my first posting and I apologize if this has been answered in the past I couldn't find the answer myself. I recently purchased Chaseplane from Oldprop and attempted to install the application via VFX Central. When I select Direct install for Chaseplane I get the following message. "ChasePlane require the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Packages or more recent to be installed. Please refer to your product's manual." After referring to the product manual I still was unsure of how to proceed. I have Microsoft Visual C ++ 2015 installed on my computer so I uninstalled and then reinstalled this program. Hi, is it possible to keep controlling the Plane with Keyboard+Joystick, while pressing mouse buttons in ChasePlane? I have to click back into to Sim (P3Dv4) after using Chaseplane with mouse. Otherwise my Controls do not work. Or is it the only way, to control the chase plane views with keyboard instead of mouse?

Hi I just have started using ChasePlane. What I am currently facing is that when actively using ChasePlane i.e. changing views or so, then focus changes from Prepar3D as active window to the ChasePlane (leaving Prepar3D not being open anymore for speach input, reducing sound, etc.). Is here any option I missed to have such changes in focus deactivated? If so, where do I find this option? Thank you for the support Andreas

I posted this in the P3d forum then realized there was a Chaseplane forum. I recently made some changes to my PC (windows update, deleted a bunch of files i didn't need) and when I launch Chase Plane, the only clickable areas are presets (all of my previous presets are not there) and preferences. Camera, Aircraft, Replay and Community are grayed out. When I launch the sim, it recognizes CP in the views tab, but I can't really do anything with Chase Plane. Do you know what could have caused this or what I can do to fix it? I also had to load it as it didn't start automatically like it used to when starting P3D. Thanks

I noticed that panning with Chaseplane is very juddery, like it lags, jumps or sort-of skips a frame. It does not seem to be tied to the sim's framerate, because's that is running at a very stable, internally locked 30FPS. When you do the same panning in-flight, you can also see the plane moving smoothly whilst the juddering happens. Hi, I am using two views when I fly, the cockpit view and a separate overhead panel view on a separate screen. I load the cockpit view at startup and then create an undock view for the overhead panel, so I can move it to a separate screen. I use chaseplane on the cockpit view 00 and it works great. I would like to also use the chaseplane preset on the overhead view 01. Is this possible? I have looked at many YouTube, but none of them use two views. They all describe the chaseplane functionalities using the main view 00. Thanks Pierre

Hello! Has anyone noticed a conflict between P3D View Group using triple monitor and rendering a separate image to each one & Chaseplane? Sometimes there is a hard struggle for who commands pilot point of view and in other cases, always working with the main monitor, Chaseplane stop working and I have to restart it... Any solution?
