ChasePlane Support

On a number of ChasePlane videos I have seen, the author starts with a slow rotation around the outside of a parked aircraft. Or does a similar rotation with the aircraft in the air. I haven't been able to find instructions on how to set ChasePlane up to do that rotation. I am assuming Cinematic mode is being used. Any guidance would be appreciated. T45

Hello everbody, my name is Frank from Germany and i startet flight-sim about 6 month ago. Last week i purchased chaseplane from ORBX. After installation via ORBX-Central and launch i get the message " Corrupt Configuration - we have detected and fixed a corrupt configuration in P3Dv4. Chaseplane doesn't work as it should. Amongst other things i can't download presets from the community. Has anyone an idea of the reasons why? Thanks for your help. I'm using P3Dv4.5 ans as an airplane the FS Labs A320. Frank

Hi I have run into a problem I've migrated over to ORBX and went to install all the prerequisite software every thing went well till I tryed to install the KB2533623 and KB2999226 it tells me not aplicable to your computer and because of that I can not use ORBX Central whitch means I am now unable to download ChasePlane and use it Regards, Alfy

How can I backup my Chaseplane presets locally? According to the manual this will happen automatically, but so far I haven't found if this is being done and where those backups are being stored on my system? I would prefer to have an option to backup presets manually. If such an option exist, can you tell me where in the app I can find it? Thanks,, Hans van Wijhe

Hey Guys. Love chaseplane. I primarily use an xbox controller to move between views. I've never had any luck binding assignments to the xbox triggers. Any ideas of what you guys use them for? As of now I have two buttons that do nothing, and looking for some ideas. thanks.

When I migrated to ORBX, the instructions said to removed VFX Central. I did, but several problems have emerged since then. I wonder if I shouldn't have removed it.

When in VC in the Flight1 Mustang, I have no ability to press any buttons or throw any switches. This only happens if ChasePlane is active. I've looked for support specific to the plane as it is the only one that does this but that was a dead end. I also have the Flight1 B200, which operates flawlessly. EZdok isnt an option for me. Hoping someone will have some insight so I can make use of the muustang. Thanks

Hi, Last week I updated CP by migrating to ORBX // 42 site. Being unsatisfied and seeing many problems (Importing all presets, keys navigation ,not functioning), I reinstalled the old CP from OldProp that works well. My question now: Are the issues with ORBX installation solved (Importing OldProp presets, navigation between views, with same key for several views)? Thanks Patrice.

The problem is that camera movement is quite slow, even speed is set to max. 737 is the only plane with such issue. Camera movement in another PMDG bird which i own - 777 is fluid and very fast

Hi I got a strange problem since yesterday. On some places in Northamerica and all places in south america i can't pan or change views . Not inside or outside. Using chaseplane. Also some functions in the menue bar seems broken at this scenario(addons,...) After that it is not possible to close the sim. I have to shut 'em down via taskmanager.(like a freeze) Flying in europe, asia, australia. Everything is perfect as always. Nothing has changed since yesterday. Any ideas? Cheers Max

I've just purchased Chaseplane & am in the learning/setting up phase. I've watched several tutorials & started to read the manual. The tutorials I have seen so far have tended to focus on the Cockpit. To short cut the process I have a query to pose: Is it possible to set up a new static camera at an airfield? (I have downloaded the CP airfield cameras) For example, Orbx S43, Harvey Field has trains that pass near the airfield & I would like to locate a static camera near the tracks. If that is feasible, could someone either reply with the set up steps, or point me to where I can find how to do it? Thanks T45

Hello, last week I changed my video card (ASUS RTX 2080S) and I bought also a new Samsung 4k monitor. Of course I have updated all my drivers and there was also a new windows update which I installed also. Now since I use that new hardware I experience a famous drop of fps (+/- 10fps less). That should be no problem because I run (before the change) around 30/40 on the ground and 50/70 in the air but the main problem is the stuttering. The stutters are so bad that the sim has become unplayable. Also the views in chaseplane don't change very fluent. I looked around for a solution on the net and changed several settings, all the sliders down, no dynamic lighting, etc…

I don’t understand why CP constantly crash, when I start a replay. It spoils me all the fun. A regular replay P3D works fine.

HI, since when I have installed Chaseplane I'm facing in a recurrent/random way the issue mentioned in the topic. That happens only when I change views: the screen becomes black for a moment and after the error message comes out asking to close P3D. I have solved the issue uninstalling Chaseplane. Reisnstalling it the issue comes out again. I have P3D 4.5.2 and NVidia 980 and I have tried several different driver versions. Do you have suggestions about how to solve that maintaining Chaseplane? I like it a lot and it is really bad if I have to give up with it Thanks and KR Joe

Like many others I’m still on v3 of Orbx Central because we simply don’t want to deal with the issues with OC v4. Down the road when I need to do a clean install I’ll move over to v4. Will we loose access or support if we don’t move over right away? I own just about everyone of your products and still have not received any email like others have reported.

Does anyone know if using Chaseplane causes screenshot function (F12) in FSX steam edition to stop working? I am no longer able to create and post screenshots using the built-in steam key (F12). I have checked key bindings but cannot see where a conflict would be caused. I wonder if it may be due to window focus or Chaseplane not being minimised etc? Thanks,

Hi, I'm assigning keys on my keyboard to the Previous Preset/Next Preset options within the controls menu, however it's not doing anything, doesn't work when I assign joystick controls either. Using version 1.1.52 of ChasePlane and Orbx Central is showing it as fully up to date. I tried the experimental version and it makes no difference, issue is still there. I’ve now switched back to stable version which is showing as 1.1.54 Kind regards, Charlie

Hey Guys. So I have two views. wing left and wing right. I have them set to two different buttons on an Xbox controller. I've noticed that when i switch from the VC to these views and back (or somewhere in between) the autopilot AP1 turns off. Usually with no sound whatsoever. I just look over and see the green light is off. Anybody have this problem? I do not have any other flight sim actions mapped to these buttons. thanks.

Hello. My chaseplane is not cycling through presets with the next preset and previous preset buttons whenever they are pressed. I have changed the assignments to other buttons and back but it still isn't working. Panning around is fine. It was working fine before the migration over to ORBX. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! P.S. I won't have access to my pc for 7 hours starting when I post this so I can't attach a log right now. I'll be sure to attach it when I get home.

Hi, I have been using ChasePlane with full satisfaction for years now, but for one item: Transitions In & Out between cameras (in the Advanced tab). Despite trying different functions and Transition time constants (up to the max 5000 ms), I never get any effect and the transition is always instantaneous. Of course I made sure that the Transition effect is activated in both views (departure and arrival, so to speak), and that the Speed and Inertia settings are non-zero, with all possible combinations of controls. What if I don't transfer to Orbx? Will my Old Prop programs still work? I just fixed another issue I was having thanks to Win10 update, I don't feel like spending a day or week fixing something else. Its getting annoying that when I want to fly, I have some kind of issue that I have to deal with that takes up my time. I will eventually but now just wanna fly. Gnacino

Anyone else having issues were keybinds for views arent working. I have no community page. Crashes happen every 10 minutes.
