I switch between the 2 addons by copying the cameras.cfg and exe.xml files. These are located in your appdata folder ( c:\users\your_user_name\appdata\roaming\lockheed martin\prepar3d Vx) Before installing any of the 2 addons, make a copy of your exe.xml and cameras.cfg. Then rename the copied files to exe_default.xml and cameras_default.cfg Install EZDok. Make a copy of exe.xml and cameras.cfg. Rename the copied files to exe_ezdok.xml and cameras_ezdok.cfg Install Chaseplane. Make a copy of exe.xml and cameras.cfg. Rename the copied files to exe_chaseplane.xml and cameras_chaseplane.cfg Now you can manually copy the desired files or use a little a…

Right now, ChasePlane does not check for conflicting keys of buttons from the simulator. Nor does it block those events from being pickup by the sim. You have to do this yourselves until we find a better way of doing it on our side. The Quick Example If I use the G key to reset the camera position, by default, it will reset the camera but it will also toggle the gear in the simulator. We decided to make WideViewAspect=true mandatory while using ChasePlane to ensure everyone gets the same results regardless of display size. It also gives more options to the user as they can now zoom out to a very large point of view. This is sometimes required for Ultrawide monitors or multi-screen setups. This is not achievable if the flag is set to false. There is a Youtube video made by Almost Aviation explaining what the ideal zoom (focal) setting is for your simulator and the mathematics behind between WideViewAspect true/false Enjoy! Keven

If you have issues changing between your cameras, a corrupt cameras.cfg file might be the issue. We'll show you how to reset it. We use Prepar3D as an example here but it could be for any of the simulators supported by ChasePlane. Go in %appdata%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 Remove cameras.cfg Launch P3D (without ChasePlane) Once in the menu, close the simulator Run ChasePlane (it will fix its things) Launch P3D If you are still having issues passed that point, contact us via our support page or create a thread on this forum.

Hello, need a little help from user-to-user. I have set up cameras in one variant (A321) and would like to transfer them to all other variants. I have tried by exporting and importing by replacing - does not work. No cameras are removed or created. Same default remain. If I try to copy between the folders, yes, the new cameras appear, but so do the default ones stay. Deleting each default cameras is very tedious. I have to go into the camera, scroll down, click delete and confirm. And that for each aircraft variant. Is there a better way?

Hi I purchased chaseplane and started getting ctd everytime I loaded in the fsltl traffic injector. Never had an issue before. I have since uninstalled chaseplane p42 from the community folder but I am still getting ctd everytime. Tried with a fresh community folder only with fsltl installed using stock plane and airport but still happens. I'm assuming there is still a conflict somewhere from a chase plane file in the msfs main files. Can anyone help before I have to do a full reinstall of msfs2020 ? Thanks Paul.

As the title suggests, I’m looking for a straightforward way to share or copy views across aircraft of the same type. Example: PMDG B737-800 BW and PMDG B737-800 SSW. Right now, having to recreate identical camera setups for each livery or variant is painful and unnecessarily time-consuming. This question was actually asked back in 2017 (hence the Part 2), and while a workaround was suggested at the time, I can’t find a way to apply that solution in the current MSFS 2024 + ChasePlane environment. Does anyone know how to fix this? Yesterday I tried loading in the TDS A350 when it kept making the simulator crash when loading it in the menu. I tried fixing it by using the "Verify the integrated files" thing on Steam (I use FSX Steam) to fix it, but did nothing. So I gave up and switched to the FSPXAI A350. Then later on I tried loading in the Aerosoft A320 Family (I brought it in the Steam DLC) and for some reason, instead of the default camera being the On-board Camera from ChasePlane, it was one of the cockpit cameras included by Aerosoft. I tried fixes like disabling the View Options in the MCDU2, renaming the "Views" HTML file to "Views_old", removing both Views …

Hi, I use Chase Plane in MSFS 2020 and before that I always use TrackIR. I sit possible to use both together. I started TrackIR from the desktop and go into the MSFS and there Chase Plane works automatilc, but it doesn´t recognise Track IR and TrackIR isn´t working, when CP is in action. How can I use both? Chase Plane doesn´t switch of the file in the TrackIR directory, as it was told in the tutoriaö Video. Roland

Hello I'm having a couple of issues. The first issue is for no apparent reason the camera view will change to external view all by it self, I did not hit any commands. It does this around the middle of my flight. Issue 2, this usually happens during my final decent. The camera will freeze up. It doesn't matter what I do, for approximately 20 seconds the camera will freeze up. I cannot make any movements with any controls and the mouse will also freeze up. This question was asked but not answered in above thread. I have an axis for left right pan and tilt up/down but its painfully slow. Using P3d v5. Can't see how to speed up the camera. NOT talking about presets I'm mostly expert with all the options there just the PAN camera left right and tilt up/down. Oh also have another hat switch for left right forward back and that's also snail pace speed. Hope someone is still reading these! :D PS these assignments are configured in global control settings, you can choose reverse axis but not speed when assigning.

Hello. After a few month of my last flight, today decided to fly again and this error appears when open chase plane alone or when open my sim (P3D v5.3) and chase plane try to open automaticly. Really I don't know what happened, I try to uninstall and reinstall over and over again from my control panel or Orbx Central, but nothing works. Haven't been able to find this issue anywhere, so hoping you guys can help me. I experience random freezing of ChasePlane using P3D v4.4 What I mean by freezing is, it'll stop responding to view changes for approximately 1 minute. Sometimes it never happens during a flight...sometimes it'll happen a dozen times. Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. It won't respond to joystick buttons, keyboard assignments or even clicking on the preset in the ChasePlane window. Hello All, I am a very new user of ChasePlane. To get to see how it all works I have successfully created a number of 'Presets' for parts of the VC in a simple aircraft - FSX's C172. All seem good and are a huge help in that now I can quickly bring up parts of the VC when required in flight. However most FSX aircraft have 'Pop-Ups' for particular gauges etc that are not part of the main panel eg in the C172 'Shift+3' brings up the GPS. However as the GPS isnt an integral part of the main panel I cant find a way to create a 'Preset' for it using ChasePlane - or could I if I knew how ? Of course I could just use 'Shift+3' but it would be much better if I coul…

I have just acquired ChasePlane 1.2.60 and wish to import the existing profiles/camera sets that I made with EZDok 3.2.0.4. This is where the problem arises. Pressing the Import button on chase plane brings up a window asking me to open EZDok V1 .ecs files of which I don't have any. All my EZDok camera files are shown as .ezdcam files. Has anybody else come across this problem and have they managde to solve it. I am using P3Dv 5.4.9.

Hello. I was setting up a flight today and out of nowhere chase plane stops hiding the mouse cursor when i pan with the mouse. I have it set so i press space bar to toggle pan. It is enabled in the preferences and i have tried both experimental on and off. I’ve tried everything i can find on here from other topics. The funny thing is that it was working fine one second and then from nowhere it just stopped hiding the cursor. It is very anoying as the mouse goes off the screen to the other screens when panning a long way. Please help. I dont get why it would do this just out of nowhere.

Anyone know what might be causing this? I have mouse pan in the virtual cockpit set to 5.75, so its meant to be a bit quick. (It's like Chaseplane is having 5 second sleep paralysis every time I come back to P3D!) btw, if anyone here knows why my F-18 is beeping, lemme know! (Maybe its tired of me, eh?)
