Hi Kevin! Happy new year to you all! Question: Is chaseplane changing any camera.cfg settings/parameters? I am flying VR and having issues with objects shining through clouds and fog and only if chaseplane is active and installed. Because it seems, that changing the clipmode (compared to the default P3D settings), this will cause issues with simobjects shining through fog/clouds. When using chaseplane and vr, I have issues with this. When using default, removing the "new" damera.cfg chaseplane created, this issue seems not to appear anymore. P3Dv5 HF1 What could be causing CINEMATIC starting all of its own while flying in the En Route section sitting peacefully in my cockpit and not pressing any keys ?! It happens randomly and all textures of sky . clouds etc appear like huge black boxes. Other times the inside cockpit camera starts zooming in and/or zooming out on its own. Any clues ?

CP has been working fine, but when i started my sim up with P3Dv4.2 and win 10 recently, now CP does not load my views. I see the CP dialogue box, but the views don't switch. They seem stuck in cockpit view and i boot my sim up with the piper cub J-3 simple aircraft. I have re-booted, closed and restarted the sim, everything except a re-install. Has anyone had these issues that just popped up like this? I am using CP v4.222 Beta.I've searched the forums and can't find a similar post to this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! john

This has happened several times with various planes: Eg,: I loaded my Cessna 310 yesterday and PILOT was no longer a Named assignment. Several other interior keys had also lost Named status. Exterior keys ALL lost Named status. In redoing them I saw that my Named Assignment list was much shorter. Previous assignments were no longer listed. How can this be prevented? Hi, Since a few days, or perhaps since the last ChasePlane update, ChasePlane doesn't let me use the middle mouse button anymore. I'm unable to pan or zoom using my scroll wheel. I haven't changed my settings, which can be seen below. Any ideas on how to fix this? I've tried restarting the sim, restarting ChasePlane and even reinstalling ChasePlane. Best regards, Stefan

After a recent windows update, Chaseplane no longer opens, I have fired up the sim and all my usual add-ons and it seems like only chaseplane was affected by my recent windows update. The log indicates Could not load file or assembly 'SlimDX.dll' or one of its dependencies. Each and everytime I start the sim I have to go in and re do my settings for the cameras. Why aren't these settings getting saved? It's so frustrating! I have made sure to right click on each one and set as default and have also tried to apply to this aircraft as well. None of the options saves my settings.

Is there a way to exclude fly bys in cinematic mode? I dont really like them and just perfer the simulated chase plane close ups

I noticed I cant switch my camera in p3dv4.5 when I use chaseplane, in chaseplane it acknowledges that i am in the outside view but in p3d it still show me in cockpit view and doesnt change it automatically. please help.

P3D 5.1 has been out for some time now and I was wondering when there might be an update to make it fully functional?

I believe I tried everything so far but unable to figure how to lock horizon...on take off plane goes "above my nose" so I see nothing and on roll it appears that everyone at the "back" would fall. Every since I reinstalled that is happening though. I re-bulid new PC and needed to reinstall everything but for some reason unable to figure this function...I forgot or i don't see. Please let me know what I can do to return to normal.... Thank

I just got chase plane, I do really enjoy it so far. One thing, I’d like to use the default p3d features with the mouse wheel zoom + turning knobs utility at the same time. Is that possible ? I have tried to use the scroll zoom option in Chase plane but then I can’t turn knobs. If I uncheck that option I can zoom and turn knobs (BUT the zoom does not stay in position, it goes back each time to its initial value 0.27 something..) any idea ? thanks Chris

Hello. I use two controllers -- a T.1600M for the Airbus and a Honeycomb Alpha for aircraft that use yokes, and I switch between them via FSUIPC control profiles. I started using Chaseplane when I was just using the T.1600M and have successfully set my hat switch, but I'd love to be able to have the hat switch on my Honeycomb also be mapped in order to switch seamlessly between them. Is this possible?

Since v5, I have been able to take advantage of the wonderful Nvidia control panel feature of Adaptive 1/2 refresh rate Vsync (my monitor is locked to 60hz only). Doing so effectively locks the fps at 30, and motion outside the aircraft is smooth as butter. Panning using the middle mouse button in chaseplane is butter. However, using the hat switch on my joystick, pressing the view reset button/key, or the keys assigned on my numpad, panning is very jittery/ghosty. I can make a video of this if this is unclear. Have updated ChasePlane to work on 5.1. However it hasn't created and xml file in the addons folder. Can someone let me know how to create one that will start the software as soon as the sim starts. Also forgot how to assign a key on joystick to bring up ChasePlane interface while flying. Grateful for any help. Regards

I have been using chaseplne for quite a while but recently bought an Xbox Controller to use it with my new P3Dv5.1 installation. Peripherals Thrustmaster joystick, X52 Thottle and CH Pedals, all three configured and managed by FSUIPC. Also under Key Assignments in P3D have programmed things like gear up/down, flaps, parking brake. reverse thrust, elevator trim up/down, etc. However would like to use the Xbox Controller for handling chaseplane cameras inside and outside the aircraft and in particular being able to pan inside the VC in all direction as well as outside but each using a different button. Hi together is Chaseplane 1.2.44 the latest available Version? I am on P3D V5.1 and got on sim start up the message it is not compatible yet. As Chaseplane is normally very quick with updates, I would only like to make sure that I am not having a problem on my end. Chaseplane is installed through ORBX central. I am not able to tilt or pan with my hat switch when Chase Plane is enabled. I looks like it is trying to start to move, but then something is preventing it. Internal and external views. If I set "Golbal Enable OFF" then the hat switch is able to pan/tilt correctly. Also, similar but a different scenario: If I select "Track Aircraft" then the hat switch is also locked into place (will not tilt or pan). But in this case (external view) I would like it to pan around the aircraft (the aircraft staying in the center of the view) similar to the simulator default spot view. If I set "Global Enable OFF" then the hat switch is able to pan correctly, Thanks.

Every time I start CP with P3D V5 I get an error that CP cannot find cameras.cfg. The file is where it should be at CP seems to work ok. Any idea what's wrong? Thanks!

Hi I have been using CP successfully for many years but unexpectedly yesterday CP threw himself out and now he can no longer function.It always pushes itself out while the simulator (P3D4.5) is running, regardless of which plane is selected. I think I've already tried everything and can't do anything.I have also turned off Antivirus and Windows Firewall but that's not the point. Hi all, Since V5, I am missing the static "airports" camera and the answer from //42 is P3DV5 simmers, please voice your concern on //42 support so that they consider this update. For last two long flights I have problem where CP wont re connect to sim anymore. usually happens around 5-6 hours into the flight.
