RXP GTN 750/650 Touch

Just started with the GTN 650. I like to use 2 keyboard keybinds to twist OBS1 up and down. On two aircraft I've tested that have an HSI, after booting up the 650, the OBS1 keybinds don't work anymore when the CDI is selected to GPS. OBS1 keybinds do work when in VLOC. I can still twist it normally with the mouse in both GPS and VLOC mode. If I deactivate the 650 plugin, OBS1 keybind works normally again. The two planes are: -default laminar B58 Baron -Carenado Baron with REP I tested the default C172 and the OBS keybinds still work with the 650 in GPS mode Any way to fix this on the Baron? A while ago I had a problem with Windows 10 (go figure) and ended up having to reinstall it. I reinstalled both of my flight simulators, FSX SE and XP11 along with the F1 GTN 750/650 and Reality XP GTN 750/650. Searching the web I found the location of the Flight Plan files for the F1 GTN and copied them from my windows.old programdata\garmin folder. I am now looking for the location where the Reality XP GTN 750/650 saves it's flight plans so I can restore them. I have been searching quite a while and have not found that folder location. My goal it so add the folder(s) to my backup scheme so I can restore all of the flight plans instead of having to enter them manual…

Can you Install the Trainer and the GTN 750 on a different drive?

I'm updating my realityxp gtn750 to 2.5.12 update. When I downloaded file, I received both gtn 650 and gtn 750. I've update the gtn 750 already. Is it necessary to ALSO update the gtn 650 as I already have it installed?

Hi, I have been using LIVETRAFFIC plugin with the GTN 750 and it works great but I have noticed that the display arrow for climbing and descending always points up. Should it not point down when a aircraft is descending?

I've just installed the rxp gtn750 and using it in the carenado bonanza f33a x plane 11 version. I am running the latest beta. I've read the included manual cover to cover but cannot find any guide as to how I operate this in vr. It shows up on the panel but I can't use any of the touch controls with the rift controller. I even enabled the mouse which I don't use as it affects the frame rate but that didn't work either. In non vr mode it works fine but I purchased this to use in vr. I've seen youtube videos of people using it in vr as a pop up window, is this the only way it works if so I'm disappointed and would not have parted with 50 dollars. Before purchase I sco…

I have the assumption that this should work, but before I get too frustrated, I'm hoping it's possible to use the map on the 750 to scroll around the map for way points to put into the 650 for flight planning, and for said flight plan to then also show on 750. Since there is only one folder storing flight plans, I'm assuming the 750 and 650 get their info from the same places, although while I can get the import function on the 750, it does not show on the 650. As it's been mentioned already, the path for the FPLN folder is wrong in the manual, so that's frustrating. Hi, After updating to 11.30 version I have some issues: 1.- Nav button (Autopilot) remains ARM, but navigates as it is supposed 2.- LOW BANK and SOFT RIDE are not working any more, buttons shows green but nothing happens. 3.- Syncronizer not working 4.- For some reason DME is attached to the next waypoint of the GTN 750 and not to the VOR as it supposed to be. 5.- APPR with the same problem as point number 1. I'm using it in Carenado's Citation S550 with the latest Reality XP update, if I disable the GPS on the GTN 750 the autopilot and everything else works at it should be. Thankyou Jaime

Ok I'm at my wits end here on this. I can't get the GTN to show anything. All I get is a black screen. I am trying this in the Carenado 210 and the Milviz 310. Neither of them work. The odd thing is the RealityXP GTN works great for me in P3D using the 6.5 trainer. I've read the other threads but nothing really helped and none of the solutions worked for me. Hello all, I'm looking for a basic example to get vnav to drive a vertical display indicator. For the XP C172, what should the RXP plugin settings be to get the CDI vdi working. It works fine for vertically guided approaches. I am ok on setting up the GTN flight plan for vnav, I think. At least vnav is working pretty well for me in the Laminar G1000. Or is vnav vdi not going to work until we have the G600? I guess for enroute vnav autopilot coupling we have to wait for XP 11.30 autoconfigured autopilots(anyone seen these?), and use the GFC700 autopilot model that has vnav? Regards, TS

Hi I purchased the GTN 650 for XPlane a while back, and would now like to purchase the 750 (also for XP). I note there's a discount for buying the 650 and 750 at the same time - I'm guessing this is the only time the discount applies, not to a later purchase - but thought it was worth asking 🙂 Thanks Rich

I thought I would share this in case someone else experiences the same problem. I purchased the GTN 750 yesterday, specifically to add it to the FJS Dash 8 Q400. The install all seemed to go well, I added the .ini file to position the unit in the plane but I got no display (the original MFD display was still showing). right clicking on the display brought up the GTN 750 popup, which was completely blank. I came to these forums and read through a whole load of possible solutions with none of them working and worked out that the problem seemed to lie with the Garmin Trainer software. @westman do you have the rest of that SF34 setting file? Since steam updated it to 11.30 on me the Saab seems to be ignoring the RXP nav data and drifting off on some random course when it's in LRN1 with no CDI indication. Would love to get a copy if yours is still working.

I'm using the GTN 750 with PFC xplane 9.7 FAA version. I notice when I use the 750 that after few minutes of flight the system resets back to the original departure airport. This does not happen when i use same A/C using GNS 530 v2, only GTN 750. Any thoughts as to why? thanks

Every time I try the updater I get a 404 error saying Garmin trainer not found or something similar. I read the forum and reinstalled the latest Garmin trainer but no joy keeps coming up with 404 error. I tried downloading the complete package again and installing that but it tells me the key file is not valid which it is. I then tried the f1 install and it says they don't have a record of me owning it, although on my account on f1 site it does list the Reality XP. I am at a loss now. Help !!!!!!!!! Grant

Hi, With the latest update, v2.5.11, we've added a new option for 3rd party vendor: 'defaults' settings. This permits them building kind of a 'template' file which gets precedence over user settings so that to prevent anyone for example to loose the 3D panel rendering section, or to ensure some settings necessary for integration are always restored by default (like copilot side, com#/nav# etc...) I opened a ticket but the advice given did not work. I reinstalled Xplane and tried to install my RXP750 and was given an error telling me my password is wrong. I thought that was weird so I logged into to RXP F1 without an issue and installed my 650 without an issue. I tried to change the password and it gives me the exact same error message. There is something wrong it seems with my 750 account. Can something be done about this? I am trying to do some flights today on a plane with a 750 😞

I guess I've never updated the product or just forgot. I used the Xplane plug in and got the zip folder downloaded. I only have the 750 so I open the exe for that and it gets me to point as if I'm ordering the product for the first time. If this is correct then do I just go ahead and tell it to Reinstall?

Just updated my GTN 750 to 2.5.11 and after install Nortons Security Quarantined "Reality XP.dll" for "Heur.AdvML.B" I have never had this issue with other updates to the GTN750. I am not asking questions, but I am also not just going to restore it. I just wanted to make you aware of what is going on, on my side of the screen. I am able to use the GTN in X-plane with out any issues, but I have not flown a full flight. Not sure what its all about but wanted to let you know

Hello, I have X-Plane 11.30 I've just updated to version 2.5.11.0 and now I see a completely black screen in both the GTN750 and the GTN650. I tried with 2 different aircrafts that previously worked without problems, the Cessna 172 GTN mod (+ REP) and the Carenado CT210M Centurion II (+ REP). I have not made any changes to the .ini from the previous version that worked fine. Black screen both in the cockpit and in the windows popup and also in VR mode. I also tried to change the power options without any result.
