GTN 750 Black Screen After Hard Drive Change (resolved)

What do you mean by 'the system'? Is this the "Operating system"?

Let's try sticking to simple things first though.

You do have X-Plane on your X: drive ok. This is fine.

You do have the Garmin trainer installed somewhere. You've reported the trainer registry values pointing to folders located in the X: drive but these folders didn't contain the trainer files. Therefore, you've mentioned or I've assumed they are elsewhere?

So, if they are elsewhere, regardless of where they are, the registry values MUST contain the path to where the trainer files are located. It is quite simple: there are 3 registry values, for 3 paths, pointing to 3 different files I've indicated.

Just cross-check:

1) where is the Garmin trainer actually installed, only you know whatever path you've told the trainer to install to.

2) compare the file locations to the path you have in the registry

3) find out by comparison whether you have all mixed up or not and make the necessary corrections.

Otherwise just do like I've told you and again, just stick to simpler things first:

1) uninstall the Garmin trainer

2) manually delete the regsitry key I've told you to manually delete

3) reinstall the Garmin trainer to the default "C :" drive to get started

4) validate it is working.

Ok I'm super sorry, should have been more specific,

1) The Garmin trainer is installed into my X:

2) The files seem to match up, BinPath and DBDataPath are pointing to my X: but BootstrapperLocation and DataPath are pointing to files located in C:, which are there. Here is a screenshot:

I guess this might just be a problem with X: and the trainer, hence why not you try first installing the trainer to "C:\" and see how it goes from there?

Otherwise, you can always 'override' trainer path in using the RXP GTN environment variables documented in the RXP GTN User's Manual but let's try the simplest first.
