I recently reinstalled FSX on my laptop. Ever since I can only play for about 30 minutes before FSX stops. There seems to be a problem with the license. I have an original version of FSX. Does anybody know how to fix the problem? The regedit is set to PartMgr (apparently case sensitive)

I am using Active Sky on a network and I am connecting to the FlightSim computer using SimConnect and sharing the FSX and Flight Plan Folders ( as per the Active Sky instructions). It Seems LIKE EVERY TIME Windows 10 installs an update it completely screws up my mapped drive connections. Now I can't even re-establish the connections at all. I have the share on the flight sim computer set to Everyone applying the KISS rule. It was working, but after the latest Windows 10 Update, I AM SOL! I can ping the flight sim computer IP Address and Machine Name. Wide FS works fine. And probably SimConnect works, but the mapping to the FSX and Flight Plans folder is where I am…

I am wondering if there is any way to change the password,as my eight-year-old sister did something on my computer that she doesn't even remember.She changed the Windows 10 login password. I hope you can help me out as soon as possible.

I was force fed the 1903 update in typical Microsoft fashion and lo and behold my processor is stuck to default clocks. Tried a bios update (I have x99 broadwell-e) and no change, well except for a boot screen loop that required me to reset the bios. I checked intel’s website to see if there’s a more recent microcode update available to motherboard suppliers to include in their bios updates but there’s nothing new. Maybe this is related to the Spectre performance improvement update? I reverted back to 1809 and everything was back to normal.

I am having a few issues on my computer and I'm considering using the Windows Defender "Fresh Start" option to install a clean, up-to-date installation of Windows. Is doing a "Fresh Start" going to screw up my FSX, P3Dv4, or any add-on installations? Just checking before I push the button! Thanks, Rich Boll

Hi, I wanna disable some services because I want & I have to do so. My Windows 10 system is extremely slow, this is really very irritating. Things seem to be moving in that direction and a few bits of software are exclusive W10. I am really happy with Win7 Ultimate and have loads of software for P3Dv3 and v4. How difficult is a changeover? Upgrade to W10 without clearing hard drives or start from scratch? Or leave Win7 on my Pc and ignore W10 as long as possible? Thought I'd share my experience with Network shares under Windows 1809. Some quick background, I use 3 PCs and two tablets devices (iPAD and Nexus) for my flight simulator setup, 1 main FS PC, 1 networked PC for weather management and audio/video capture, 1 networked PC for flight planning and tracking, iPAD for FMC and/or more weather/flight tracking, Nexus for live ATC. Getting all these to work in harmony across wireless and wired networks can sometimes be tricky (sometimes I'm amazed it even works at all). I need to edit the Scenery.cfg file but although I made the hidden files and folders visible and can go to the other "hidden folders" Programdata stays invisible in my Win10 October 2018 release. Who knows the answer/solution? Thx.

Morning all, Would anybody in the community be willing to point me in the right direction on the best way for me to connect my second pc to my gaming pc so it can specifically run my various acars programs, weather engine and other ancileries such as FSRealTime. Hi guys Any tips for windows 10 virus protection I have the antimalware running with p3d and it is taking up 30-40% of my CPU usage. I've looked into disabling it without success but one of the articles recommends a different antio virus which is less power consuming? https://imgur.com/a/EsTFPzK

Hey guys so I am on win 10 1803 until issues are resolved with 1809 then I will update. thou have an issue with evga precision x, whereby i have installed it open it and set perameters then once i click apply my pc freezes and crashes driver. have to restart pc. i have uninstalled driver and tried various older builds and also older evga precision x builds. to no avail. also tried afterburner and same issues. any help is appreciated thanks mike

Hello Everyone, I had to format the SSD and with the occasion I installed windows 10 (I had win7). After having made all the updates and installed the drivers as well as P3D and related addons I immediately noticed very poor performance then fps around 10 (regardless of the settings...) when I was used to see almost always above 30 fps (orbx scenarios) but also 40-50 in many occasions. Setting the affinity mask to exclude the core 0 (which I did not do before) the situation improves but we are still around 20-25 non-stable FPS and therefore about 10 FPS below. Can someone explain tome the meaning of the little shield on the bottom right of the ICON, some have it, some don't? -- I recently upgraded from Win 7 to Win 10 but am having problems auto starting certain programs. If I double click on these icons they run normally, but if I place an icon in the startup folder they (those with the shield) do no run whilst others do. I bypassed the folders of all flight sim programs in the firewall, so can't understand why this happens.

I've had Advance System Care for the past two years.It has the virus protection, Driver booster, De-frag, and a number of other tools. My subscription is about up. Before I renew I'm wondering what you guys are using. I want something that is light on the system. I not only use the computer for FSX SE, and PREPARED v4 but also some internet use. Two porn sites that haven't given me problems in the past, and they are visited maybe once every two months. Let me know what you think, what your set-up is. Thanks

Anyone using FS Force with P3D V4 in Windows 10 and perhaps also with VR using WMR / Steam VR? Is does it work well. Are there any issues? Is FS Force worth buying?
