So I just built a new computer and everything is working fine, except in P3d as you fly randomly its like I reach down and press the (P) pause button. Yes I can simply un-pause it but its annoying. Any ideas as to why it randomly pauses the game?

Hey Folks The message is something like that. A popup that disturbs a couple times while flying. I am using an update that is about 3 times back because the newer ones don't like my Logitech multi-panel. Does anyone know how I can disable this popup? I don't want any more updates from MS or anymore popups to interfere with my flight! Thanks!

I am currently running Win 10 Pro 1803. When I recently read Win 10 1903 was out I started checking into things and discovered there was a ver 1809 update that I had never been 'offered'. So I ran the update Troubleshooter and it fixed a "corrupted update database error". However, if I check for updates it still says I'm up to date with ver 1803. So at this point should I download ver 1809 from the MS website and install that and then wait and see if I am notified about ver 1903, or what? Does an update to ver 1903 require ver 1809 is installed first? Thanks, Al

I recently wiped my main Flight sim PC and installed Windows 10 Enterprise 1511 build - clean install NOT an upgrade with the assumption I do NOT care what is on my existing SSDs/HDs (they will get wiped out). Thought I'd share some notes: 1. If you have a more recent UEFI motherboard, make sure you get updated UEFI/BIOS before installing Windows 10. 2. Disconnect ALL non-essential USB devices (just connect keyboard/mouse). 3. Hi guys Would appreciate any assistance. Just tried to install FSX from DVD into Win10 Pro 64bit. I started the install by clicking setup (run as administrator) the disc spun up but almost immediately got a error message -" 1607 unable to install installShield Scripting Runtime" any suggestions?? I'm considering upgrading to Windows 10. But it seems like it will wipe my C drive....which has a lot of P3D/addon related files. I will backup some of my other misc data but it seems like I'll need to do a clean reinstall of P3D. P3D is installed on another physical drive but has all those little "feelers" on the OS drive. If those are gone won't I need a complete reinstall?

Has anyone updated their system on windows 19 May 2019 ver 1903. Is there any issues in P3DV4.5

Just finished building a brand new flight sim PC. Purchased/Inserted new Win10 Home (USB Flash Drive) into the USB port, and installed Win 10. As part of the procedure Windows walks me through, Win 10 wants to access a network. Sure. Unfortunately, Win 10 says the network adapter doesn't have a driver. Well, I didn't install a CD/DVD drive and I can't search the Internet with that PC. I also opened the BIOS to see if there's anything there that might help. Under the peripherals tab (Gigabyte Z390 AORUS PRO), the Link Status shows "Disconnected". What did you do to get windows 10 to run well with P3D v4? This rig is just for simming. What did you turn on or off tweak this or that? May be you just let win 10 do its thing. I want to know.Thanks for you help.

Hello All - I finally upgraded my old Alienware R3 from Win7Pro 64 bit to Windows 10. I am running Prepar3d 4.4 and have a few questions and seeking some advise. 1. Windows 10 Build 18762 or upgrade to the new build 1903 ? 2. Use Windows Defender or reinstall Norton Antivirus? Which is better for gaming and performance? 3. Currently running Win7 Ultimate with good performance for P3dv4.5. Lots of add-ons (ORBX, HiFi, Ult Traffic Live, etc). Does Win10 give to option of upgrading without a clean install or should I just bite the bullet and plan on spending a week or soo getting everything back? Advice and suggestions appreciated. I realize another option is to build another PC but I've already built enough. Maybe there is a new laptop that will run P3D and use my 35" monitor Obviously I am a bit out of date Neal H

It seems that the last couple of minor(?) updates have upset my network adaptor, or at least they ain't friends no more, 'cause it keeps issuing a new IP address and plays havoc with my SimConnect files. Bah Humbug !

I don't seem to be able to take screenshots using the V key in p3dv4.5 after windows upgrade to 1903 build can anyone put some light on this problem please thanks John

After finishing my new build and Setting everything up I have encountered a Problem I can't solve, even after Hours of Google and Forum searches. I'm using AivlaSoft's EFB with the Client on a Laptop. Apparently MS has Chosen to discontinue homegroups, which was how I was running the System without Problems until now. To this date I managed to connect the two PCs, so each Shows up on the other and has Access to all required files. But no matter what I do, Server and Client do never establish a Connection. Am I missing something? Am I doing anything wrong? Help highly appreciated! Best regards, Peter

Hello All, I am in the process of building my new Windows 10 rig for Prepar3D. However I am also planning to have FSX on the system so I can still use all the addons that cannot be used in Prepar3D. I am wondering though if I already have a product installed in one sim, will I be able to install it into the other or will the installer only give me repair or uninstall options since it has recognized it as being installed? Some addons such as the PMDG 737 are separate products so I am guessing should be OK but what will happen with others such as the FS Dreamteam sceneries that use the same downloaded file for both sims? Just fresh installed P3Dv4.5 in the last few days, i am trying to edit my AI traffic aircraft.cfg files and when i wish to save i get a prompt not to quickly save what ive edited into what was there before but instead to save as!? Trying to understand whats happened and why i cant save them the way i did in my previous setup? Then..... Permissions...its evident that even as the only user of my desktop and as Administrator this means NOTHING in regards to given you ease in just trying to get stuff done! Hey Guys, The last week's Win10 update crippled my Saitek multi-panel. I could no longer use the A/P and set NAV, ALT or anything. So no serious flying for a week until today, and i sensed that maybe Windows caused it. This afternoon I reverted to the previous version, and now the multi-panel works as intended. I don't know beans about computers but wish there was a way to block any Windows updates. If you use Win10 and have Saitek instrument panels, you could have the same problem.

For no apparent reason when I start FSX the mouse clicks has no effect on the Start or any othe icons in the task bar. Win 10 with latest updates. Has anyone seen this problem and if so is there a solution Bob Palmer

I’m hoping there are some Windows 10 experts here who can help solve a mystery. Radar Contact v4 - previously payware - is now freeware and is available via a link on that forum here in AvSim. Many have successfully installed it but one user cannot get it to run despite many suggestions. Out of interest I installed it on my own Win 10 computer and it was fine. But on the other chap’s computer it opens briefly and then closes. The splash screen is not seen so something is either terminating it or it is closing on its own as something is missing. But if something is missing why aren’t all users affected? He has tried launching it in Safe Mode, with UAC turned…

Looked and tried everywhere for help and solutions but can’t get it resolved. Has anyone had issues with there USB wifi dongle internet dropping out? I have unchecked that option powersave.
