Hi @all I'm new to the forum. Maybe someone can help me with my problem with P2ATC. I use Pilot2ATC v.2.6.3.1_x64. I create a VFR flight plan (e.g. from EDDK to EDDF). I can send the flight plan to X-Plane and fly. I cannot save the flight plan via "SAVE". Saving is carried out without an error message, but the file is only 1kb in size and does not contain correct data. When trying to load the flight plan, an error message appears. Furthermore, it is not possible to activate the flight plan via "File". So I don't have an "active" flight plan that I can activate via the "Center". The problem does not exist with an "IFR" flight plan. Everything w…

No, not the second Star Wars movie... So I've been using Pilot2ATC for a couple years now, and I've always wondered, if I'm on 122.8 (a UNICOM freq) going to an uncontrolled airport, I've always thought that I should be basically talking to myself. I'm not a real pilot so take this with a grain of salt, but often when I announce "Sting four zero whiskey is entering left downwind for runway 36 full stop", suddenly a voice will pipe up, "Check your frequency and your request and try again. Sting four zero whiskey" or, sometimes "Repeat your request with a proper call sign Sting four zero whiskey". I'm thinking, who is this scuffer telling me what to do on an adv…

A lot of my flights are in and around Norway. Great scenery (both payware and AoN), interesting lighting and weather, plus an abundance of available background chatter covering most of the major airports. Put all that together and it can be quite immersive. One particular airport is giving me problems though. Alta/ENAT in the far north, has a single controller covering Tower and Approach on 120.400. That information is displayed on Navigraph plates and it is presumably Navigraph data which Pilot2ATC reads initially? From what I can make out that information needs to be read by Pilot2ATC correctly in order for ATC to work properly, and for background chatter to work a…

I was flying out of KPHX to KSJC in the PMDG 737-800 last night. I was parked at Gate 4 and was told to expect runway 08. When I received taxi instructions in addition to the expected C C4 B and B13 it included to hold short of runway 07L. This is on the other side of the airport so there is no way I would be anywhere near there. I have run the latest makerwys.exe. Both airports are the stock standard MSFS sceneries. This was the second time this has happened here. The rest of the flight went well until descending on the STAR SILCN6 with KLIDE transition. At TOD I requested FL290 but was told to descend to FL300 which was fine. I was cleared for the descent via the ST…

Hello, sound level issue - if P2A/ATC speaks back to me after my communication (e.g. after I said "[callsign] radio check" the sound volume is very low. In Config / Voices volume is all set to 100%. If I press "test" next to each voice, volume level is OK. If ATC speaks itself (e.g. ATIS) sound volume is also OK. PC chatter works also fine. If P2A interacts itself with built-in co-pilot, the sound volume is also OK. The problem occurs ONLY if P2C speaks back to me after I initiate communication as described above. Sometimes, the sound volume increase itself for a while. Again - only if ATC speaks back to me after I asked them for something. Tried it with both Windows…

Dave - I have tried twice: I'm choosing a STAR (in this case AGUDE FIVE ARRIVAL) for KSTP (St Paul downtown), then choosing ILS runway 14 approach and have selected "VECTORS TO ARDNN". I don't get any vectors after the end waypoint of the STAR and I have to fly to ARDNN on my own. So, vectors off a STAR (at the last waypoint of the STAR) are not being given. Any thoughts? Thanks when you have time to respond. I am running the current beta, but the same thing was happening with the public release. Pete

Hiya Dave , Yesterday was flying LEIB- LFTZ with a cruise altitude of 34000 feet. Near to approach ATC started to give me the vectors for manual approach and tol me to descent to 22000 feet, but he kept giving me only heading instrucctions since i was a few miles to destination airport then told me to descent from 22000 to 4000 feet. Obviously that instructions had ruined my flight because was imposible to make that descent to 4000 feet in a few miles. Is there a way you can fix the descent calculations in the new updates pls?

I have set up P2ATC to be fed from FS Global Real Weather, I have also amended XP11 to display and pass the QNH in hPA. The settings at the top of the screen in P2ATC are in hPA and I have amended Units in the config tab to Metric/Feet but when the COM channels are tuned to the local ATIS the readout for QNH is in inHg. When flying european airports I would like the ATIS to read out in hPA. I know I can switch the baro settings back and forth but I am wondering if there is a way to alter the settings for the ATIS so the readout is in hPA ? Is it a setting I'm missing? Do I need to amend settings elsewhere or is it just the way it is ? (I have checked the ATIS in Xplane a…

Hello, I am a long time PATCX user but I am currently searching for something better. At the moment, PATCX is getting on my last nerve because the actual traffic program is missing a lot of real world features that I think makes flying IFR difficult. The major one being an option to deviate due to weather. Is this something that is implemented in P2ATC? I do like that with PATCX I can initiate my descent by myself, and they have most approaches correct, but I live in the South, and with that comes lots of thunderstorms. I can’t deviate my course without PATCX screeching at me and it’s annoying. Thanks!

ATC normally issues vectors with headings rounded to the nearest 5 degrees, except on surveillance radar approaches (ASR/PAR). I've never heard a center or terminal radar controller say "Fly heading 234"--it would always be "fly heading 235" The "radar contact" call is only made when radar identification of the acft is first accomplished--after that, handoffs are normally acknowledged by ATC with "roger" or other instructions. Subsequent ATC controllers won't state "radar contact" on an initial check-in after handoff from another controller as long as the acft remains under radar control. Example: (from departure leg) Tower: American 252, contact depa…

I recently reinstalled FSUIPC to a different drive and had to install a beta version so it would work with FSFO Next for MSFS and now P2ATC doesn't connect to MSFS. I'm just wondering if it has something to do with installing FSUIPC to a different drive or if it's because it's a beta version?

Hello, I have wanted to try P2A so I downloaded the trial version. After setting it up and running it for the first time, I realised that P2A can't hear me. My microphone (its a desktop microphone) is set to default and is not blocked by windows. Then I tried to run Grammar Help according to another post. The green text remains "Full text:" even after many tries. When I click replay, I don't get anything back. I have the US language pack installed and selected as default. I am really at a loss. I would appreciate a response!

Probably a bit of a newb question here... I'm finding more and more that a flight plan that I start in Sim Brief, import into P2A and finish by selecting the SID, STARS and Approach don't match the SID/STARS/APPRAOCH that are available in the FMC when I program that. That naturally means my flight plan in the FMC doesn't match my flight plan in P2A, thus, making LNAV/VNAV unusable. Is there a way to get these to match?

Hi Dave. Pilot2ATC is a fantastic ATC software to run when I'm flying in 2D, but in VR mode it is very difficult to interact with. Have you ever thought of developing a GUI to work in the VR environment? Thank you! Henrique

I've been using the program for awhile now, and all of the sudden it can't hear me. I thought maybe my headset went out so I bought a new headset and still nothing. I've tried both USB and 3.5 type headsets. Mic setup shows me loud and clear and other programs can hear me fine. The config of P2A shows using the primary sound driver (which is what it had been on previously). Not sure how to trouble shoot this. Thoughts?!?

Hi Dave, I was testing out another new ATC software, and was wondering if a checklist feature was on your roadmap? Something like the ability to create custom checklists, have the co-pilot read it out and me respond using voice.

Hi. I use Neofly a lot, and Navigraph data sadly lacks LOTS of small airports, so most of the time i can't use P2ATC because it doesn't recognize the ICAOs i'm flying. Sometimes i have to cherrypick what airports to use in Neofly, and that limits the experience a lot. A great solution to this issue would've been to use MSFS navdata in P2ATC, so that's why i'm interested in knowing this: Is it going to be possible in the future to import MSFS navdata instead of using Navigraph or NavDataPro? Cheers!

Hi, Is there a way to change the frequency separation in Pilot2Atc from 25KHz to 8.33kHz. Some of the frequencies used in Europe are otherwise not reachable, or slightly different from what the app proposes. Usually the app is the same or close to the actual frequencies, but sometimes its not. Often this is due to rounding. Any suggestions where to look for this setting? Kind regards, Rick

I’ve noticed that in PublicBeta6, if Pilot2ATC is launched before fsuipc, then Connecting to the sim doesn’t work. You just get a chime but no connection. Restarting fsuipc resolves it.
