1) Vectoring seems "hyperactive", i.e. giving me heading instructions one after another, sometimes only two or three degrees difference - is there a way to get P2ATC to "simmer" down and be less "worried" about what heading I'm on, or at least perform the check less often? 2) I know P2ATC can't control or interact with AI in MSFS, but it does see it (and alert the player, which I like) - but is there a way to make P2ATC ignore it for the purposes of landing/go around instructions? With heavy AI traffic, there's pretty much always going to be an AI on the active and I keep getting P2ATC telling me to go around (makes sense, but I dunno how else to get around this part…

P2ATC has been assigning me ILS approaches at several airports which appear to have holding patterns which I assume would only be utilized when traffic is heavy and ATC needs you to, err, hold. However what P2ATC keeps doing is assigning me one of these approaches with a 'transition' that includes the airport VOR - so it's this unusual flight path overflying the airport then going into the holding pattern and turning back to intercept the ILS. Am not a real pilot so I'm fully ready to acknowledge there's a common IRL practice related to this that P2ATC is teaching me about, but something tells me the behavior might be more of a bug than anything else.

The speed setting for voices works when I click the "test" button, but the actual ATC comms stay at the default speed. Any way to correct this? Thanks! I spent a lot of time with the trial version of P2ATC this weekend, it's superb!!

Hiya dave, installed last beta but still have bad descent rates at approaching vectors In my casa arrinving to LECO ILS21 , i was at 30.000 feet cruise alitude, and pilot2atc give me vectored approach and told me to descent from 30.000 to 4.000 feet , impossible to do that because i was to near the airport Hope you can fix that in the next update, thanks Dave

Good afternoon. I'm doing multi sector flight. Clear out my flight plan go to config change my callsign for the next flight and it appears fine in P2A interface. Now when I start communicating with ATC my copilot is using the new callsign but ATC keeps using callsign from previous flight. Any way to fix it without killing P2A and restarting it? i'm giving pilot2atc a shot for the first time, and am following along with the included pdf docs (doing the ifr tutorial.) however, the app doesn't seem to be able to "hear" me. my mic is definitely set up properly as my default recording device in the Windows sound control panel, and i hear myself perfectly clearly when testing it there. when i go into the "grammar help" window in Pilot2ATC, i click "Practice" and get a popup window shortly thereafter that says "Speech Recognition Information" and lists the microphone and some info about the recognition engine. i click OK, and the button now says "practicing." then i click "PTT" and "Full Txt:" appears in the Practice …

Hi Dave and fellow simmers, I have this problem that seems to involve just the Socata TBM, but I present it here in case anyone has an idea. Here it is: A few days ago I began to notice that Pilot2ATC was behaving strangely. On starting it, it wouldn't finish an ATIS report, stopping after a few words and then starting again. Finally, after getting clearance, the tower tried to hand me off to departure and after departure started to respond, tower came back and tried the handoff again. Tower says: ...Continue ILS to Runway One Nine Center Call when established on Final I reply (per the syntax in the manual): <Callsign> on final Runway One Nine Center The problem is...it almost ALWAYS misinterprets this call ^. Instead it thinks I am saying: <Callsign> is on the go Runway One Nine Center ...which triggers a go around and invalidates the approach. I noticed you changed the button behavior for the CoPilot Options I like the change to have a Respond to Radio button but I miss the Change Frequencies function. I usually like to change frequencies myself and use the "say it" button when I'm to busy to answer myself. But during busy times (like the departure) I switch to let the Copilot do the work instead. Unfortunately I have to go to the Config menu now to change that and that breaks a bit of the immersion. So I'm wondering if we will be able to have another button in the future to toggle the "change frequencies" option (I know, that this button would also have to change the "respond to radio" option) So …

I think I messed up when updating Yesterday. Now PTA wil not connect to the sim. I download setupP2A_2630_x64_with_Navigraph_1801.zip and now p2a will not connect. I get a connect tone but the power button does not light up. When I try again it shows that it disconnects. How can I recover from the mess I made. Thanks

it seem the public beta is creating havoc for me . it takes AGES to conect to sim (spinning circle) do i install Over pevious version or complete reinstall? also it seems to interfere with my controls (locking me in mid flight ) i could be wrong as i am not smart enough to trouble shoot) any help would be appreciated

Hiya, Is there a way to update the sectors for users who aren't using P3dD? I only use MSFS2020 now but the manual says it requires files from P3D to update the sectors. The default sectors in the UK are wrong. Manchester control stretches all the way down over Cornwall when it should be London Control etc.

Hi, I have searched the pinned thread above but it does not address my specific question. Like many of us here we have purchased custom third party airports. These will have high fidelity gates and taxiways. These also install/reside in the Community folder. I am trying to update P2ATC Taximaint to update the P2ATC database with these new custom airports. However, the Makerwys exe will only go to the base MSFS file and start the process. I don't believe that you can point it anywhere else but maybe there is a way within P2ATC to achieve this, thus my question: How would one get Makerwys data or P2ATC taxi/gate usage from custom airports in the community folder?…

(using latest beta 2n) Hello, for some reason I have an issue at LGMK Mykonos (using the MSFS Aerosoft scene if that changes anything). I can't progress past clearance delivery, the ATC will respond with clearance whenever I ask something else. I'd also edited the taxiways as they weren't complete in default, but it changes nothing. Hi, Just reinstalled MSFS2020 and set up a flight from KNVY (Van Nuys) to KAVX (Santa Catalina, Avalon). Connected OK (after downloading and installing paid version of FSUIPC7). Got ATIS and then Clearance. So far so good. Ground cleared me to taxi to Rwy16L. This was quite a way from where I was parked and would have required me to taxy past the end of 16R. As I left the parking area and began taxying parallel to 16R I was instructed to contact Twr on 119.3. I decided to wait until I had completed my run up and pre take off checks. Thanks to MS breaking everything recently, I've had to reinstall P2ATC. I keep getting the attached error: Unable to initialize Database The underlying provider failed on Open. An attempt to attach an auto-named database for file c:\Pilot2ATC_2020_x64\Data\P2ADynamicData.mdf failed. I tried again after removing all the data from 'appdata' as well. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hello everyone, so I downloaded the beta yesterday and had the issue of getting vectored into the ground. When being vectored around I was taken way off course and also was vectored down passed minimum safe altitudes and also vectored into the mountains. While I was assigned runway 19L I was taking passed it and sent over to the other side of Vegas flying into the mountain. I am wondering is the" minimum safe altitude check box" also used for staying above a certain altitude or is it just used for flight planning purposes? Thank for the help.

Hi, I have the problem that ATC does not clear me to descent via a star. They basically leave me hanging at cruising altitude and all of a sudden instruct me to descend to the altitude of the final approach fix. They do inform me to expect the star, e.g. "AIRFRANS Six One One Six Expect the NARA Six Lima arrival with the NARAK transition for the ILS approach to runway Three Two Left with the ADIM1 transition at BLAGNAC." But they never tell me to fly it. After the "expect ..." it's only hand offs. Hi there - New P2A user, after a couple years of being fed up with default ATC this is a godsend. For the most part, it works really well! I like doing short hops between KMSP and KDLH when I don't have a lot of time. The Simbrief flight plan for this is: KMSP DCT GEP DCT DLH DCT KDLH P2A often assigns the KBREW1 SID with a GEP transition, recently from RW04 and 30L. Two problems: P2A requires me to fly the entire SID, which appears to start at GEP and goes West for about 50 NM, ending at KBREW1.
